Those are adorable. My grandma had some like that in her kitchen. I always loved them. I have a country kitchen. I think I'm going to make some to look like overalls using some light weight denim material. And a sunflower towel. Thank you for sharing this with us. Have a blessed day 💐

@@JoannasDIYLife i like the snipper too. I use it quite a bit. I bought the set because I was away from home and had to do some sewing. Now that Im home, I have my spring loaded shears that I just love and have had for 20 years. They're only fiscers but they were a better wuality pair..and I paid well for them. They were worth it.
I sew a straight stitch close to the bottom. If it has a few strings after washing I just clip them off. Some don’t prefer that look so they hem, serge, or zigzag the edges.
I know you can buy the tool to attach the snaps but the one you use on the wooden stand I did not find. I have bad hands and no strength to use the regular tool so I would like to know how to get that one on the wooden stand and also the snaps

I agree with J B. I bought the Simplicity pattern for this, and even though I've been sewing for nearly 30 years, occasionally I end up with a pattern that stumps me at some point. The Simplicity pattern only has you cut 2 of the top of the dress, and I tried and tried to make it work. This way would be MUCH better and easier. Thank you!!
@@JoannasDIYLife that goes double for me.. they assume everyone knows how to sew.. Putting every step in is really important 👌 💯.. As a retired teacher, if a student consistently wasn't getting it, it was my fault..Cuz some learn at different rates..
Hi Joanna, I just made one of the top sections of the dress, and it seems awfully small. I printed the pattern as big as I could get it without running over the edge of the paper, and used a 1/4" seam. From the outer edge of one outside of the sleeve to the outer edge of the other sleeve, what is the finished size supposed to be?
It’s right at 7 inches high from the bottom to the top of the shoulder when finished and across the shoulders will be between 10 and 10 1/2 and the waist will be between six and 6 1/2 all inches.
