Oh my goodness - I finally found someone who makes the tops the same way I make them! One difference, though, is that I put the lace on the front before I sew the neck opening, so it's caught in the seam.
You are so much better at this than most videos I have seen that make these look like a dress. I have made a lot of these, but mine do not look like a dress. I usually do a square and add a tab that folds over with a button. The dress is far cuter. I like how you rolled it and stitched the side. That is very clever. In fact, that technique makes me want to try your method. Since I am a lazy sewer when it comes to craft sewing, I would change a couple of thing. I would sew the lace on before I stitched around the neck and I would slightly curve the underarm just so it looks more like a sleeve. This is the best video for this technique, thank you.
I want to try to make this for my granddaughter. Wish me luck that mine turns out as good as yours and thank you for making making and sharing this great tutorial. You've made it so easy to understand. I kept looking at the little sewing machine @ 1:07. Is that something you made? I saw a sewing machine pin cushion on another channel made with felt and a sponge and going to make it soon. It's adorable. Yours looks cuter. Is yours a pin cushion?
Oh that is awesome! I know she will love it and absolutely I wish you luck, however all you need is the desire to sew, and it will come out Great! Oh yes the little fabric sewing machine is a pin cushion, I had made it out of a fabric panel. Happy Sewing
@ Linda Osorio I get most of my ribbon at Hobby Lobby when they have their sale. Also Walmart at times have a end rack with ribbon for a $1 or $2. In the fabric department 😊
@lindat8274 Hello, the towel I used in the video is purchased from Walmart. They come in a 4 pack, two solid and two with stripes. Happy Sewing and thanks for watching!
The pattern prints out the size required when printing at 100%, The size measures 10" wide by 7" tall. For the under the sleeves remove 1 3/4" inch. Happy Sewing!
@angelaburke9215 Hello, after you sew and the neck area ( after I sew the neck area) you turn one side in to the other making it with wrong sides together, and at the time stamp of 4:58 we begin to sew side seams and turning and repeating to the other side. Hopes that helps

I'm so confused. I sewed the inside square is shown in the video. But when I went to turn it, I can't. It's completely sewed together.

So you sew around the neck line. Turn it, then stitich the sides together? I was doing it all at onece and it didn't work.
