Yup-love how Maestro works his RH index finger to get those Segovia-esque slicing strokes for the melody notes. You don’t hear playing like that much these days. Everyone’s mainly playing with straight wrists and little color sound- wise. Thank You Maestro Jinariu!!!
The Classical Guitar is such a wonderful instrument and we have talented people over the world that is an explosion of musical talent that world can now see on YOU TUBE. This is a vast help and also and inspiration to all ages. I learn something every day although I have have been playing for 43 years. I am amazed and mystified at the sheer numbers of great players.
Hello James. As you say, thanks to RUclips we can enjoy a great number and kinds of interpretations from the diferent parts of the world. Pieces like this one... absolutly inspirational.
Capricho Arabe is my all time favorite classical guitar piece and Tavi does not disappoint. Not only is he playing one of Segovia's guitars, but it's also very obvious that he has studied Segovia's version of Capricho Arabe as well. Perfect tempo, perfect touch..
This is the way I like to hear it played. Perfectly balanced, not too fast or slow, it avoids all of the unnecessary flourishes and the melody comes through, beautifully supported by the accompaniment.
What a performance. I've heard everybody and their uncle playing this. This is different. I'll be playing this to death over the next few days. Thanks for a great upload.
I do the same thing with pieces that capture me. I wish I could play even 1/4 this well. Awesome guitarist ...and no wonder; he studied under Christopher Parkening!
this one is perfect. It reminds me how i used to play it in HS. It was my UIL solo for my Jr. year. everyone rushes through the verses but this man slows it down to a walking pace and makes it sexy
I put the phone in my ears and closed my eyes. When the cut was over my eyes opened, I was surprised that I was lazet on the planet. More than wonderful song
The perfect combination. The man brings out the best from this guitar... and this guitar brings the best out of this man. And the interpretation of this piece is nothing short of magnificent. I must admit that the strings of my heart were pulled as well. I DO thank you.
My father used to play this back in the days on his Ramirez A1. Warm, romantic and sometimes even aggressive. Nothing beats that sound. What a beautiful piece of music!
I become so much more motivated to start playing guitar when watching spanish guitar, compared to when watching american rock. Though I will probably never reach this level.
Interpretação perfeita !! Ligados perfeito !! Um grande violonista !! Sonoridade perfeita !!
Wow..wow!... I'm in awe, what a beautiful performance of music !.... the slurs, the legato and the tenutos!...Ive been listening to segovia recording of Capricio Arabe for a thousand times.. can't believe my ear, you brought these up to come alive!.... Such a beautiful Ramirez 1A guitar, the kharisma of the Maestro is there... the one with history of modern classical guitar today... travelled the globe and played this very instrument across major concert halls.... what a legacy!
Hello My name is Edward I live in Montebello,CA. In 1986 I had the privilege, and Honor of meeting the great maestro Andres Segovia thru my Friend Christopher Parkenning And I would just like to say, if Segovia was alive today , I would definitely make sure he knew who you were. Take care God Bless Edward
You are playing this difficult piece without any effort and makes us feel that it is very easy to play so clean and smooth. You are one of the best classical guitarist on youtube and love your nails man. I wish I could play like you some years in the future, I wish.
_Just makes me want to cry! I had a 1969 Jose Ramirez too! I had to leave it in a church b/c I had no where to keep it, that was in 1976. I hope it's Ok?_ 😛
Some think the slow was too slow and fast too fast. I don’t get it. The over sound and feeling of the piece was beautiful and satisfying. What more could anyone ask or want for.
Beautiful playing, Tavi! Both lyrical and clearly articulated. The guitar certainly has all the warmth of a traditional cedar Ramirez. The treble has a "chaste" quality I find unusual.
I think most people play this too fast you and Christopher Parkening have the best interpretation of this piece that I have ever heard other than Segovia.
Jealousy. Of course they will say they aren't jealous, only that "he played the wrong interpretation" because according to these people there's only one way to interpret a score, and it's the way they do it. Since they're not putting videos up on youtube I assume they spend far more time criticizing than they do practicing.
Tavi is one of my favorite guitarist, when I listen to his natural interpretation, I just think he is a master like Pepe and Segovia.
yes, me too
Same here. Fascinating!
This guy is a beast.
He also looks like he'd show up at your house with Joe Pesci
I saw him play Adelita in another video and it made me realise I’ve never heard anyone else manage to play it without a mistake.
He is not a beast, he is the best

Open to interpretation I guess… to me at least half of his interpretation is unnecessary flourish. I find it distracting….
From all the performances and interpretations i've heard this is the one i like the most.
For a few minutes, made me forget and remembered all at once.
Breathtaking... and once you take in a breath, you just want to hold it until he's done. Beautiful beyond words.
Nothing sounds like a Ramirez!!! Beautifully played!!!
Extraordinary guitarist. The main melody is notorious and flows smoothly accompanied by the other chords. Excellent.
What a performance. I've heard everybody and their uncle playing this. This is different. I'll be playing this to death over the next few days. Thanks for a great upload.

For the left hand, I feel this is one of the toughest pieces I’ve ever played.
@@KeithHiew I think "granada" is tougher for the left hand heheh
Tavi is one of the best if not the best there is out there classical guitar players.
I put the phone in my ears and closed my eyes. When the cut was over my eyes opened, I was surprised that I was lazet on the planet. More than wonderful song
This guitar is a legendary part of music history.
This is how this piece should be played ! Bravo Tavi !!!
I could listen to this all day long....

Tavi is my favourite player from GSI, he sound very organic and clean.
The performer and the guitar ultimate awesomeness
That guitar is magical. Masterful performance.
Bravo. By far the most interesting performance I've ever heard of this wonderful piece.
His performances are always flawless, great piece.

I feel like it's just a haunting sound my god. Amazing performance. It's so ghostly and mellow ...
breathtakingly beautiful.....just stunning!!!
Best version I have ever heard!
Wow, some parts are haunting as though Segovia is playing. A great guitar and masterful playing :)
It's true! It feels like I've heard this exact song before.
This guitar music is great to make me feel like in the beautiful peaceful past time of Arab.
Happy listening.
Thank you for sharing.
beautifully played...I was privileged to see & hear Andre S while in Italy
Guitars are never "Owned"...just "Rented"...Bravo!
5 STARS!

One word says it all. Wonderfull!!!!
Beautiful piece, very well interpreted and good sound!
World Class ... Amazing skills ... I like it more than any other version!
Wow! And it still looks new!
double fun. Brilliant composer and virtuoso player
The 105 who thumbed down this show what a crazy world it is we’re living in.
Best interpretation.

I was trying to find Segovia play this live, but I have to admit, this is the closest I'll get.
Beautiful...
Beautifully done Tavi.
Muy bonita interpretacion, buen tono y sonido*
Hes so relaxed in this video!
This is probably my favorite piece, and this is my favorite version after Segovia.
Suono bellissimo; esecuzione coinvolgente. Complimenti!!!
