Your enthusiasm for the nuances in the notation is inspiring. A lot of people in our modern world think classical music is boring but that is just so far from the truth. You really embody the magic of this music, Alex. Thanks for sharing these deep dives.
That was so much fun! I sat with guitar in hand and played along with you, and it was like I was getting a masterclass (except without the nerves). I already know the piece fairly well, but I think that brought it up a level or two for me. Thank you so much!
Its been great to watch you progress over the last year or so, Eric. Not surprised to see you dropping a line here. You have great taste, after all. Cheers, friend.
This is a very nice approach. Most guitarists edit every duff note out of their videos (even their instructional videos) so that they sound superhuman, so it must take courage to put your practice on display. It's very informative to hear a fine guitarist like you being frank about the challenges so we can hear how you overcome them.
I haven’t heard you play in awhile, Alexandra. I began to forget how well you play and why I appreciate your musicianship so much. Forgive me; I’m old. Thank you for today. It’s nice to be reminded what a wonderful player you are.
I was playing a Sor etude on a classical guitar for sale, and the salesman walked up and said, "so you're a classical player?" I replied, no, I'm a classical student. He said he knew just what I meant. ... I'm very glad to find you, Alex. Congratulations on your accomplishments.
So many decisions go into playing this piece in an enchanting way. I'm saving this video. Lovely playing Thank you. I never had a guitar teacher who looks this good.
I've started learning this piece with my teacher a while ago, so this is the perfect moment for this video to help me polish it up a lot. Tanks for that, and it's very interesting to see how you go about refining your beautiful playing, I'm glad you show this and give the opportunity to learn from you!
I'm over the moon! I cannot believe you've made a practice video for this! Your performance of this piece is, bar none, my favorite performance of any I've heard. I cannot tell you how excited I am to watch this. Thank you!
I've admired Flamenco from afar and very infrequently over the years. The stresses of long Covid brought me a lot closer and I listen to street performers mainly on here every day and they lull me to sleep most nights . I find it more authentic than concert hall performances somehow. I find your style and teaching very easy on the ear however. Beautiful piece ofcourse. Thank you. You have a great skill, enjoy and be very proud.
just started playing guitar at 33. This is the piece I MUST learn one day. Its absolutely amazing and you play it so well...thanks for the class, I'm sure I will revisit it many times throughout the years!
Caprixo Arabe is a piece that I really like, thanks for sharing the reading of its playing and its beauty. Music must be taught since childhood because our human beauty makes it appear with it. Thank you very much Alexandra.
Thanks a lot for sharing your in depth view of this piece. I havent seen anything like this before. As a beginner i am often times oblivious to the details you mentioned. It seems one is expected to either have the insight or not. But if noone ever points out the little things its unlikely to notice them. Especially when its not the kind of music you listen to on a regular basis.
What a joy to watch your thought process. And what a lesson for us all, that there is SO much more to executing a piece of music than just playing the notes on the score. Your interpretation and musicality here are breathtaking.
Muchas gracias Alexandra un abrazo fuerte desde Colombia. Adoro esta magistral interpretación. Empezaré mis prácticas con este maravilloso video que nos regalas. Un abrazo fuerte
Wonderful tutorial. This is one of my favorite pieces and I was able to correct two passages where I never liked the way it sounded when I played. I look forward to more of these.
Nice practice set. I learned this piece by myself just using tablature. It’s been a while but I want to learn it the right way. Thanks for all the tips.
Thank you, how amazing. It does make me sad to though, that circumstances prevented me from carrying on with my lessons 50 years ago. Really wonderful to hear you play and see your dedication and sometimes intensity tempered with good humour. Many thanks. :-)
Thank you very much for this video and please keep uploading these "practice with me" videos in the future! Your recording of "Danza Brasilera" is amazing, so maybe you could do a practice video? Thanks again!
It's amazing how many things you pay attention to that I wouldn't even think of myself. One can learn a lot from you. I've seen your video for this piece many times, I love it.
What kind off you to do all this effort to explain it to us . There is plainty of information to grasb in your video .For people who learn pieces by themselves. Its wonderfull!
Incredible as always. The sound of your nails is excellent, could you do a tutorial on how to get the perfect nail size and sound? It will be helpful. Thank you!
Beautiful song. I really enjoyed watching, i played along with you the whole video, im just an amateur but i enjoy playing this song and i learned a lot with you. Thank you so much 😁
Superb. I wasn't sure what I would get from watching this but wow. Such an intimate lesson from such a talented pro. So much to digest. Thank you for your generosity and the 6 month lesson to practice!
Thank you for sharing this it is so interesting to watch how you explain guitar technique. Cant wait to see you live in Bristol at the end of the month.
excellent video Alexandra, just learnt this piece by memory but watching this i can change it here and there with the vibs and ornaments and playing parts in tasto etc , thank you for sharing it 👍
You're incredible Alexandra. This piece is a bit too advanced for me right now I'll definitely save this video and come back to it soon! Thank you!!!🙏❤❤❤😚
Wow instant subscribe! What an amazing gift to sit with you and the music and learn this. I learnt the intro and A section really well recently but the B section or whatever you pros call it stumped me as I’m still very much an amateur classical guitarist. Thank you so much I’ll do this tonight.
Tu vas bien, je ne parle pas l'anglais, cela ne m'empêche pas de t'apprécier, je pense que l'image apporte à la musique un ensemble créatif, imaginatif...et que je passe de très bons moments à t'écouter, merci.
Thank you so much for this! Really interesting to listen and see the perspective of another player (much better player). It really helped me with the pacing in some places of the song.
I love this song! I’m taking a practice with you in these days then eventually I could play this song! It’s so amazing! Thank you very much love yah :)
fantastic guitar player!! of the best in the world fantastic guitar player!! of the best in the world fantastic guitar player!! of the best in the world!!!😍😍😍😍
Amazing! Great video...the only thing i could do was read the music, i do that quite well. It's too late in life for me to learn a piece like that, will have to stick with something simple. Love ro hear you play & practice!
Great video. I really admire your work. I'm learning to play and I really wanted to learn to play Asturias, if you could make a video like this I would be very grateful.

I could listen to this for hours. Hearing you practice is so much more satisfying than hearing me practice!

This is a piece that I have been playing for a while but I find your tips & advice incredibly helpful and encouraging. Thank you.

How do you know how to read the sheet she is displaying. I don't understand anything
Thank you for the great video 5 years ago and the heart warming one today.
I'm over the moon! I cannot believe you've made a practice video for this! Your performance of this piece is, bar none, my favorite performance of any I've heard. I cannot tell you how excited I am to watch this. Thank you!
I love her version, too. Adam Del Monte’s version is also up there for me.

Alexandra, I practice with you every morning, and each time I find something new that shines thank you again!

The Dminor chord starting the melody is also strummed like Liona Boyd does which is more to my likening..Love this video so much..❤
I've been working on this with the ukulele and it really helped me solve a few problems! I practiced alongside and that was fantastic!

Sine I first head a peace of Tarrega, I have byen drawn to the atmosfere, so intense of his music.
And his harmonies are simply great. MARVELLOUS.
Hypnotic! So much insight into nuances which would have otherwise just flowed right past my untrained ears. Marvellous material.
Your voice is musical too.Glad your fellow guitarists enjoyed this.

This was very enjoyable to see how you transform the sheet music into something artistic and tasteful.
the new Julian Bream, for me , utterly inspiring and entertaining.
Ten minutes in your video I subscribed. Very, very useful indeed, for professional musicians of course but also for the committed amateur. Thank you.
