I just stopped using comb on my hair. And I do my hair myself often. Another tip is while doing so, have smooth finger nails. Rough nails will prick the hair causing breakage
I haven’t combed my hair in about a year. I only finger detangle☺️ I also did a generous trim 2-3 months ago, and my family member was raving about how thick and healthy my hair looks. Finger detangling (for me) results in little to no knots. I also get minimal breakage.
I haven't comb my hair I'm 5 months but it was because I gave up trying to grow it but it did the opposite! That's when I found out combs is not made for me, and I do not put anything fancy in my hair. I don't wear silk bonnets, and I sleep on a regular pillow
Finger detangling is bae for me although I comb sometimes but most times, my fingers do the magic. My hair has become much more thicker and my shedding is a lot more minimal. Nice video💖
I haven’t combed my hair in about 3 months ( it was in braids for two months, and then I combed it a little under running water after a month) and i almost could not recognize it was my hair because it felt so heavy and thick

Nice one. I haven't combed my hair for a month. I have no intention of combing it any time soon because my hair needs a rest to gain strength and to simply to just 'be'. I love watching the curls form and detangling is easy with fingers.
Every thing you said is absolutely true and wise. I just spent $30 on one of the best detangling combs that is in stores. One week later I was so over laying my hair, slicking it in styling and detangling with a comb. I’m not sure if I will Freeform locs or if I will just enjoy my natural fro. For now I’m loving the freedom of no combing at all. Your video just helped me put it more into perspective. Thank you!!
Your hair is beautiful. I agree. My hair is fine and thinning. So I no longer use a comb and my hair is thicker with little to no breakage. And I hydrate with only Aloe Vera gel Amazing!
YES to what you said about using less product! I went from a wide tooth comb to a wet brush 2 years ago, and that was very helpful, but recently I decided to try finger detangling only for a few months and see how it goes. 🤞🏼
I ❤this I post the same content on my channel..I haven't used a comb or brush or anything that goes through my hair in months in my hair has been thriving every since figuring out what my hair loves & dislike
The important thing is to find a product that suits your hair and know what your hair is allergic to. I have been with my natural hair for 3 years now, and I have been looking for a hair product that suits my hair not even knowing that my hair is allergic to oils. This is 6 months of using the right product, stoped applying hair Oils on my hair, and also not combing my hair. My hair product helps me penetrate my fingers through my hair. And yes not combing the hair can actually help in growing our hair, but also difficult without the right hair products.
All I do I wash when I wash. It's so hot so I wash wit soap all the time. It's matted now. Well all I do most of time is throw a bandanna on it. Dont oil it don't grease or moisture it. I did my some vitamins but never take them. I just don't care. It's dry. It used to itch like sickens but rarely no more. I went to trim off dead ends back in '17 & it never grew back. Clippers must've been dirty cause I caught itch around sides & back of head. Then my scalp & neck burn. So I cut & cut until I left it alone in 2021. It began finally trying to grow. I got mad & wiped it down almost bald back in February this year. I guess it's moving a little cause I can tie it up into puff a little bit. But now days I just throw it away. I don't care much for it no how.
I do finger detangle my hair but if I feel a knot that I cannot get out I will try using a comb but most often I just work and work to get out the knot and if I cannot get it out, I pull out as much hair as possible from it, then cut out the knot.
Combs dont get all the knots out. It's easier to feel knots with your fingers. With a comb you're just ripping through the knots and destroying the strands that arent knotted right along with it. Combs dont detangle.
I have wavy curls. I also don't comb my hair for around 3 to 5 months. It's too thick and I just don't like detangling it. But when I finally do...omg so much shedding. And one thing I was shocked about it grew longer. But it got thinner. So much shedding. So I had to stop. I comb it almost everyday now. And I noticed shedding almost stopped. 👍
You know that shedding is just dead hair / fallen hair ? It’s not a bad thing to loose hair, because it’s a cycle. Like nature has seasons our bodies have them too
You’re so right! I wash my hair very often. You’re can also be shedding because it’s very dry. I make sure as soon as I’m done washing, I apply a moisturizing leave-conditioner, while my hair is wet and put my hair twist😊 I make my own leave-in conditioner and my hair loves it!!
@Shamarri Alexandre-Little Oh...so happy for you👍. Mine works also. I don't need a leave in conditioner. After I wash my hair with ACV organic shampoo I use Yao women rice water and that's it. Then I use the besteeeest hair moisturizer I've ever used. I also eat good. No more bountiful shedding . It stopped. So that's all I've been doing for months now. So happy.....we're both happy😊
I agree with this!! My hair have been thriving every since I put them down & figured out what my hair love & hate❤I love posting content on my natural hair & more
I agree! I’ve decided to retire my comb and finger detangle! I’ve been natural for 12 years and never retained length using a comb. I’ve protective styles and still wasn’t retaining length. I know by finger detangling, I’ll start seeing results within a month.
@@shamarrialexandre-little3158 Yess!! And same I didn't see my hair start to thrive until I put them down!! And same wasn't nothing working at all !! I also put products down that isn't natural like coconut oil & etc
I don't comb my hair too. I finger detangle. And honestly I have been loving bit. My hair hardly break anyhow
Yesss! 👏🏾👏🏾
@naturallygirlie, have you noticed extra length since? It has been 2 years since you wrote this, so just checking in. 😊

GREAT video! I recently started finger detangling and my hair is so much better. I’m retaining length!😊

Like the manual version of having locs with more maintenance

Yesss! I totally agree with you, we need to let our hair BE and thrive! 👏🏾

I'm going to try this, but how do you part your hair for braids or twists without the help of a comb?
Your hair is beautiful. I agree. My hair is fine and thinning. So I no longer use a comb and my hair is thicker with little to no breakage. And I hydrate with only Aloe Vera gel Amazing!
Hi
I like aloe vera on my hair
But I usually used the plant
What brand Aloe vera gel do you used?
YES to what you said about using less product!

Wow! Thank you for sharing, love ❤ I will start finger detangling my hair
You’re welcome Queen 👸🏽 I will like to know your thoughts when you finger detangle.

Nice job, but does finger detangling get all the knots out ?
It is possible but this depends-on how thoroughly you detangle, it is why I do not over manipulate my hair.
I do finger detangle my hair but if I feel a knot that I cannot get out I will try using a comb but most often I just work and work to get out the knot and if I cannot get it out, I pull out as much hair as possible from it, then cut out the knot.

That was well presented, pretty girl! Thanks so much!
Thankyou. My hair hate combs. I finger comb ❤
You’re welcome ☺️
I Tried To Comb My Hair Because It's Hurts Really Bad Of My Dry, Frizzy, Breakage, And Heat Damage For My Scalp

Please how do I finger detangle short afro?
for me it's will be 3months. and they grow better.
I’m glad you finger detangle too! 😊
Mega growth and Shea butter is really great to soften the hair.
So you don't wash after conditioning??
Thanks, please could you recommend a conditioner that has slip.
I decided to stop combing my hair too.
I rarely wanna rake through mine. I been neglecting it since 16 or so maybe earlier due to depression. I began cutting patches out of my head
I hope u get better with the patches and I pray it all gets better for you with depression 😇🙏🏽
