It has been 4 years since I stopped combing my natural hair, I made the decision to stop combing my hair out of a necessity! And I have no regrets whatsoever.
In this video I will give details for not combing my 4c natural hair and how it has improved the health of my hair, helped to grow thicker and longer natural hair. I also share how I detangle my hair since I stopped combing my hair in the last two years.

I’ve been finger-detangling throughout my hair journey. Currently I’m 3 years .No combs. The length retention is mind blowing. My fingers and hair are now used to it. I do it effortlessly. It’s fun passing my fingers through the reward of my patience and consistency 😊

I'm a lazy natural, and what I've learned is that using the right detangling solution is key. You'll need to create your own honestly, but you'll know everything in it is healthy. Plus the correct combs and brushes used at the correct times is key.

First here!!! Great content as usual. I have decided to go without combs ooooo, I went to cornrow my hair. I didn't go to a salon because I knew salons won't listen to me not wanting my hair to be combed. I went to a hairdresser without shop and insisted she mustn't comb my hair and she adhered to it. I'm super happy and this is what I'll be doing moving forward. I'll continue to low-manipulate my hair and leave them in for long and not comb my hair at all. I've been natural for more than 10 years but this hair on my head is just about 3 years (cut my hair even though it was natural to start over again because a new me was starting). Learning and relearning and loving it all. Finger detangling is bae but no comb method doesn't work for everyone sha. I don't brush my hair though, just fingers now. Great content as usual girl and good to see progress.

I’m glad that you finally found someone that listens to you and cheers to your “new” hair journey. Honestly! if I had the time, I would finger detangle more but I have to stick to brushing for now. Thanks for always watching and leaving a comment. 💜

I totally agree with afrolique but when I first stopped using tools on my hair it took me hours to detangle my hair now I just detangle every now & then

@@lilianjoseh I stopped using wide tooth combs four years ago after which I only finger detangle my hair for about two years but for the last one year is so, I started using tangle teezer which is a detangling brush. I hope this is clear?

You gotta do what works for you! Using a brush gave me great curl definition, but ate up my ends, so I switched to a long-toothed wide tooth comb and things are going great 😊

I wait with anticipation every week for your videos.
I have been noticing that I don’t loose a lot of hair when I detangle with the brush.

    I have a question
Please so what detangler can I use to detangle my hair cos right now I use a conditioner to detangle but I doesn't have enough slip that I need because my hair is very hard and coarse also low porosity
Can you please recommend a good detangler either store bought or DIY ?
