Just wanted to say I swear videos like these help me out so much..use to go days & weeks without combing my hair cause it was so painful & I was so lost on what to do with my hair period..but now im finally getting everything thanks to yall !! I finger detangled my hair like some days ago & it was so relaxing me and my scalp loved it the time was so worth it and I had less shedding & less shrinkage that's a big plus I will only be finger detangling on wash day tho had just wanted to try it out been seeing videos like this I thought yall was crazy like what yall done use combs..now I see why I so recommend this LETS PUT THE COMBS DOWN LADIES!! And actually take the time to feel our hair ourselves f the combs lol !! Unless needed for parting..that's all im gone be using it for..but let me go lol I can ramble all day..God bless you for reading all that thanks!!

Finger detangling is a nice way to start the detangling process, but it is necessary to go back in with a detangling brush or comb because fingers don’t get all the tangled out. I’ve had several women come into the salon and tell me that they only finger detangle and it shows by the amount of time it takes to actually detangle the hair from so many knots that have never been combed out 😕. Just a suggestion.
It could be possible that those women could be doing it wrong. When I used to finger detangle, I could tell when I didn't detangle a section well/thoroughly.

This my first time seeing your video when I saw your hair I whistled. Is your hair low porosity? I have been finger detailing my hair and it has helped. I never thought to use oil very good info thank you! I will subscribe to your page because this is hair goals for me. I have a long way to go . I used to avoid videos with ladies with this long hair because I said I could never grow hair this long but I soon realized I could learn a lot from someone who has mastered it😊

Finger detangling is good. Have you tried using a mixture of marshmallow root, slippery elm and fenugreek powder to detangle your hair?

If the hair is stretched not much detangling is needed. Im going to look for detangling coily hair videos.

That's not true I've seen people with a lot of shrinkage use the same technique

I haven't used a comb to detangle my hair for almost 3 years now. 😄 I only use my fingers.
