I am devastated. I always wished to see Whodini in concert. Born in the 80's Wodini was one of the groups I remembered most as a child and when I was old enough to find the music myself that's one of my favorite groups. My kids have been forced to listen but trust me they don't mind. GOAT. Rest in peace.
At 3:51 Dr. Ice and Kangol Kid gettin down with their dance moves. Real Hip Hop. Both became part of U.T.F.O. (Untouchable Force Organization) Rest in peace Kangol Kid, Ecstacy and Educated Rapper of U.T.FO. Long live Whodini.
Just saw this video in the documentary about the producer Connie Plank. Those Whodini guys were so nice and funny in that film. I used to listen to Rap Machine and other stuff like Kid Frost or Unknown DJ when I was 13 or 14. Rap and Hip Hop was so much better without that pimp & gangsta shit.
I watched that Doc on Friday last, and thought the same! Was also the same when 13/14, nuff Electro Albums and shit body popping/breaking routines... hah, alas... it was not my forte :)
You're lyrical geniuses, Prophetic, actually with truth to word! And your songs 🎵 will have a generational affect! Thanks for sharing/posting @WhodiniVevo. Listening still 03/30/2021, #RIPJohnEcstacyFletcher
It's pretty much here. Look up videos of folks using AI to sound like established rappers. There's one joint on RUclips where the artist used AI to imitate Jay-Z (as a feature) and you literally can't tell the difference between the real and the fake.
R.I.P. to John “Ecstasy” Fletcher another hip hop legend has fallen my father had the pleasure of meeting him along with Jalil Hutchins and Drew “Grandmaster Dee” Carter back in the Disco Fever in the Bronx NY man 2020 has been a terrible year for people falling down to this madness he will greatly be missed thank you for all of your hard work and dedication to the rap game.
I'm almost certain that the Rap Machine is busting a freestyle off tha dome, with his turn at the mic! That flow is reminiscent of that flow you would hear from the popular rapper(s) in high school, cyphering in the school hallway or during lunch period, back in the mid 80's-early 90's!
This Video is so cool. This track is mega! I like this kind of rappin. And Whodini did in in perfection! Whodini made some great Tunes with Robotvoices. Thanks for that. I love it!
Thinking back to 83, and what your loving cops were telling me they said "throw your hands in the air, and waive your rights like you just don't care" Had no money to pay my bail I spent nearly a month in a holding cell Spent nearly a year in and out of court, my so called friends gave me no support Dismissed the case after a while and never even gave me a jury trial and by default they had givin me, on my record a criminal history So just throw your hands in the air, (where I can see them) Waive your rights because you just don't care...
When mid school hip hop barely started. What a legendary track.
Nostalgic bro
R.I.P to John 'Ecstacy' Fletcher of the pioneering rap group, Whodini.

Rap Machine is becoming more and more eminent. AI is running a muck.
It's pretty much here. Look up videos of folks using AI to sound like established rappers. There's one joint on RUclips where the artist used AI to imitate Jay-Z (as a feature) and you literally can't tell the difference between the real and the fake.

Dismissed the case after a while and never even gave me a jury trial
