You know - the reason this dropped today is reminiscent of how Apex originally launched - no warning, just a trailer and the game. I’m pretty sure they were trying to replicate that same moment, especially with the “launch” themed game mode
I think it was mostly the strike but that also came to mind yeah, and that was pretty cool but it's different to get a game out of nowhere than getting a season
The problem now is that we know the state of Apex and how it has fallen. It worked the first time since it was released, and we had to play the game to know what it was like. Now, we have already become aware of the cheating problem and horrendous matchmaking. It's mainly microtransaction and late to no promises being delivered.
FOR THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW!!! the voice acting academy has an ongoing strike against the industry for some time now. ...so that means no voice lines could be rendered in this time. Apex will probably drop a trailer with little to no legends voice lines beside ones they would have had recorded already
Nah honestly I saw the 3 stories on the challenge menu and they are not even animated anymore. Hopefully Apex ends and Titanfall 3 begins after gta6 and battlefield release
read the patch notes and honestly my only issue is moving E-District out of map rotation when it's only been here for one season, really don't get why Storm Point has been in rotation for nearly every season the past few years but as soon as we get a golden map, it's gone after just one
E district was so bad. No clear lines of sight for sniping. No good POIs. And massive walls allowing for excessive choke points and pointless engagements

there's no way you're still on the bp split. they changed it from the original plan, it's literally better than what we had before in every way. with all the issues the game has, this is definitely not one of them

Not to mention, all in all, you have to complete 120 levels rather than 110. They force you to play the game more consistently, but people with.. y'know, actual lives don't have time to play this game 24/7.

But I'm sure that most OG players forgot about this game already. I will do the same. It was a fun journey. (1500+ hours) but I can't keep supporting this game. EA's deathly touch has gotten to it. I don't think blocking the Linux OS was a bad idea, Fortnite and Valorant banned the Linux for the same reason. People can Dual Boot their PCs to both acsess Windows and Linux so they can cheat at ease.

They have just given up on this game. Read the patch notes. The LTM is so OG that Legend abilities are back to square one with no upgrades, weapons are either OP or garbage, no Evo armor, and ofc, OG KC is back whether you like it or not.
I've loved apex for what they have done so far. I appreciate thier hard work and support them in thier hard times. They are not perfect but I'm hopeful they would do better. We demand more from you cause we know you can do better. The only game that I've ever played for so long... You got this. 😊
Ive noticed they will put a few 3 stack preds in even casual lobbies while the rest are solos and duo bots. They get to run around, tear it up, then they buy more skins because they think they are beasts
This is why we always come back to this. Because there's so many details that we missed out on that we can never replay no matter how much we try to stop ourselves.

You want to announce your product ahead of time to get people to talk about it and build hype. It’s official, this trailer was not trying to emulate their release with hype. - They just couldn’t record voicelines, so had to go as barebones as possible. Better to release it last minute than earlier.
Was there something more, because from the trailer alone. That was disappointing. Their big answer to all of the changes and updates is basically, "go play Vanilla Apex". Thats not a solution to any of the problems people have been wanting. OG Apex is going to look way different from the way we remember because of how people play the game now. The Lifeline rework seems nice, but it doesnt fix any of the core balancing or primary issues in the game. And I dont understand the grenade or plasma launcher weapon. You can shoot people with it, but you can also shoot yourself with it to gain a jump boost?? Why was this added? Why not just improve or enhance movement in the game in general? This entire trailer was a massive letdown and disappointment. The only saving grace are the patch notes at this point.

The EPG-1 only appears in the unranked mode from the 'Rifts' because it isn't a permanent weapon.

STOP SPENDING MONEY ON APEX LEGENDS. We need to show their executives that adding more ingame purchases does nothing for the game. We want real changes that help the playerbase. please spread the message
they’ve done a lot of changes for the playerbase. y’all still complained, they changed matchmaking to exactly the way people crying about it wanted, and those higher level players spent unreasonable amounts of time queueing into one game and people still complained. it’s funny because people always bring up the issues that there can be nothing done about. if you complain about anything complain about 20 tic servers.

@@Restlessx no yellow knocdown revive, no digi optics, no balance in mm you play vs pred every game, no attachments on wingman best gun for me, nerf on almost all guns only flat and havoc are good now except care package ofc, cheaters in every rank game above D4+, no separate lobbies for casual for example pubs and ranked (changes on 2 modes should be separate!), no new engine, bad battlepass changes, bad legend changes, bad servers and more and more i can give you even more reasons that they did nothing in 2 years :D

Why? This is exactly what Fortnite does and they're massive.
@ first of all, Fortnite is massive with kids under 10 and gamers who have spent way too much time and money to ever quit. Second of all, it’s basic marketing. You want to announce your product ahead of time to get people to talk about it and build hype. Sometimes a surprise release like Apex’s launch can work because everyone’s talking about what a welcomed surprise this new thing is, but we knew the new season was coming for months, so they just completely failed to build any sort of excitement or interest

The marketing team is so sad now. I doubt a lot of ppl even know there will be a new season in 2 days. Kills the hype with everything the whole team did for the last 8-9 months

Y’all have to remember when Apex launched, there was no marketing prerelease. The release Apex the same day they marketed it, and since we’re getting and OG season, they’re releasing the promotional content with the new season

It’s official, this trailer was not trying to emulate their release with hype. - They just couldn’t record voicelines, so had to go as barebones as possible. Better to release it last minute than earlier.

Was there something more, because from the trailer alone. That was disappointing. Their big answer to all of the changes and updates is basically, "go play Vanilla Apex". Thats not a solution to any of the problems people have been wanting. OG Apex is going to look way different from the way we remember because of how people play the game now.
The Lifeline rework seems nice, but it doesnt fix any of the core balancing or primary issues in the game. And I dont understand the grenade or plasma launcher weapon. You can shoot people with it, but you can also shoot yourself with it to gain a jump boost?? Why was this added? Why not just improve or enhance movement in the game in general?
This entire trailer was a massive letdown and disappointment.
The only saving grace are the patch notes at this point.
