Thank you for reiterating the importance of “for myself”
Yes, he is definitely the exception.
I would have anyone of them dogs
@@JoblessBuhdda
No, a grade three requirement is necessary to own either of these animals...you don't qualify.
[Hint : 6-letters - 2-words - not joined]
@@justplainbrad7713 here’s nine letters for you. No hint required kiss my ass.
I’ve told many many people that Maligators are NOT pets. I’ve trained 2, (starting at 15) and have the scars to prove it!
I have five German shepherds and I couldn’t imagine my life without them. Fantastic breed and would do anything for their family. They protect my teenage daughter from any bags flying in the wind, have to scope the upstairs out before she can go up and I find them constantly spying on her to check she’s safe. We are very blessed to have them.
You must own a lot of vacuums

I had a German shepherd for 16 years. And I never had another dog after him. He will always be number one forever. No dog can ever take his place in my heart. Ever!
Alice the German Shepherd is the only dog I have ever owned. Her ashes are in a beautiful carved box on my mantle. For me, there is no other dog.
Don't replace, add instead
My shepherd mix is on my dresser as well. I love my current black mouth cur but training is not as easy with him. Would definitely get another shepherd or a Mali though.
So cute ❤😊
@@juniorramirez9782same, wich also doesn’t mean we replaced them cause we live all of them for their quirks and I could never choose a favorite
GSD’s have captured my heart.
Their devotion to their family is incredible.
ive owned german shepherds my whole life. they are wonderful dogs, they can either be energetic or calm, depending on your mood. they are amazing dogs. cuddly and protective at once! 😭
Do you like them more than your doberman?
@@captainrogers2542 i love all my dogs the same. they’re both great dogs, i would definitely recommend both of them.
German shepherds are the truth! They are amazing dogs and I grew up with them!💜💜
My German Shepherd was one of the best dogs I ever had
I miss him dearly.
German Shepherd all day for the family in my opinion. They are loyal, loving, and a protector of the pack.
Yes but not a working line one also they need to be trained extremely well
@@joestead4060we have 2 working lines (one western, one eastern) and they are extremely loving and loyal. The key is they need a “job” of some sorts that keeps their mind engaged. Too many people think that they don’t need that much effort into training because they’re so intelligent when it’s actually the opposite. They want to learn to please you and when you don’t give them something to learn and do, they get angsty and destructive
@@mai-khanhhuynh8452 yes but most families don’t have the time for a working line
You need to get a ‘Murican dog
@@mrOGbobbyjohnson I have a dog
I love my Rottweiler. 130 lb. lap dog that makes me feel safe.
Single traveling grandmother here - my Belgian Malinois/Doberman mix from the county shelter is the most intelligent, fearless, alert and instinctive guardian I've ever had, with minimal training. I keep him separate from my younger grandchildren, he's on-leash when we leave the house.
My previous treasured dogs were a shepherd mix, and a boxer/Aussie shepherd mix (not by choice, but rescue).
Love this channel for valuable information - thank you!
Hope your malinois is happy 😵💫
Wow, what does the mali/dobi look like
Thanks for rescuing!
That's all we do.
Counties murder dogs daily.
@@pothszabinalook it up on google
@pothszabina there's nothing special about them they just look like a smaller Doberman with floppy ears because the Doberman naturally has floppy ears and both parents need to have a erect tears for the dog to inherit that trait.
I’m on my second Malinois. As a single women this dog is amazing, never leaves my side. The dream dog. She is walked everyday and taken to the dog park. Very diplomatic I just had my knee replaced. She stayed with me every single time I went up and down the stairs to guard me to make sure I made it. OK she’s an amazing animal. I’m so happy with her.
do top 3 hypoallergenic dogs
my top three are smaller-sized poodles, giant schnauzer, an any hairless hypoallergenic, though im also not allergic...
No such thing. All dogs are allergenic
For that category, I'd recommend the Yorkshire Terrier for those who want a smaller dog. Although I lean toward medium to large size dogs, I've had my Yorkie for 12 years and he's the boss of all my dogs and a great companion.
CAn add some black russian terrier if you want a gurad dog
Miniature schnauzer is a fantastic choice it’s been on a few of his lists and having one as family dog was amazing she was super easy to train great temper and the size makes them easy, after growing up around 7 German/American shepherds she was the easiest to train by far(grew up in 2 families)
Owned GS my entire life. They are definitely not a dog for just anyone and high energy but they always have so much personality.
Yes these dogs are for special people who know what they're doing.
He did mentioned "I'd get as a professional"
especially the belgian malinois, if they dont have discipline trained into them they will be on a warpath through your house all day because they never tire
@yimpyoi9808 Yes! A family member of mine has a Belgian Malinois and attacked my dog twice! The second and last time could've been deadly but luckily my dog was fine. Needless to say, they need to be handled by professionals.
@@jesserojas9763 yep, they are a very smart working breed with and extremely capable at it, but without work or play they can get bored,
anxious, and destructive. ive met some that were absolute nightmares, but many police use these dogs as k9 units and they are some of the sweetest and most well trained dogs you will ever see. still would recommend a german shepherd over a belgian malinios to first time dog owners, as the GS is much more personable and can actually turn off work mode
@@The_Movie_Thieves mention*
I'm a pomeranian man myself. You know you're bad to the bone when you can admit you love your pomeranians.
Sure, you're a badass.
Watch girl with dogs pomeranian puppies. You're welcome!
❤ I love Pomeranians too. Such a spirited & smart little dog, & far more athletic than most small pets. They were bred down from working sled dogs so they retained good IQ. Ours can do over a dozen tricks, from roll over to stand, speak, spin, crawl & even fetch different objects like a retriever.
Some poms don’t have a strong retrieval instinct & may need to be trained with a clicker in phases. First u reward when they look at the ball, then when they walk towards it, then they sniff it, grab it, carry it, bring to u, then finally drop it- the most difficult part! 😂
If you like Pomeranians get a Keeshond instead and thank me later.
Ended up with a working line German Shepard. Woah the energy! But the smarts, the loyalty and dedication to our family. What a fantastic dog
Had a Cane Corso for 8 years. Once, during that time, my housemate tried to pick a fight with me while he was drunk and heard one singular bark from around the corner. He was no longer trying to pick a fight after that. Tremendous lovely dogs that give you everything they have :)
Got the number one choice dog chewing on my slipper right now best decision ever
They arent tired enough so you gotta be more active with them physically and mentally
@@S1ck0fant very true. If we don't play tug or burn some of his energy off before we leave, he's GONNA chew something lol still a great and well behaved dog, though.
That's a training issue, i trained mine not to do stuff like that anymore
I’ve had 4 German Shepherds, 2 passed on and 2 still alive. They are unbelievably great family dogs. If you want a dog for protection and for kids to enjoy, GSDs are your go to. You can always count on them.
The 3 breeds that I would choose! Had a GS many years ago, what a dog!!! 💪👏💙
Our cane Corso is the sweetest dog. He’s a year old now and he’s an incredible family dog. He’s excellent with all of our children and a new born.
all he is saying is he doesnt recommend them for *most* families. not everyone is good at training dogs
also most families dont have time to train a dog@@BonesMalon3

@@marilynwillett804 infants fine as long as you don’t try to kidnap her. Then he’ll kill you. Excellent dog
Any tips on training?
I have 2 Working Line GSD’s. One is just shy of his fifth birthday and our puppy is 17 weeks. They are amazing. I wouldn’t trade them for the world. Even though they are a little bit more low maintenance than a Mal they still require a lot of work and training but if you put the effort in you get an amazing friend and pet back. We love you, Thor and Apollo you are a joy to our family.
I have 2 female German Shepperds, 3 years old both, and a male Cane Corso…😁 Just love them! Never had a Cane Corso until now. He’s 9 months old…and never had a dog that learns so fast. It’s been amazing seeing the 3 growing together. I wish I could have them forever! ❤
I have 2 German Shepherds and a Collie. What I love most about German Shepherds is their emotional intelligence, it's on another level. I'm young but had a stroke, they 100% know my left side isn't the same and are completely different towards that side when I'm playing with them. When I needed to sleep more cos i was healing they would do quiet barking when ppl came to the door when I was sleeping.
They're amazing, I love them more than I can even put into words 😊
Love how you specified "working line." Usually a healthier blood line on all these working dogs and more prone to do their job.
We had a Belgian Malinois that we purchased from a great breeder in Texas who bred for competition in conformation, obedience, and agility. He was beautiful, extremely smart, and energetic. He had a pretty strong prey drive, though he mostly got along with our three cats. He loved adults, even strangers, but I was wary with him around children. He wasn't ever agressive with them, but something about the way he carried himself when children were around kept me from letting him interact with them. He was my husband's favorite dog ever, and we still miss him 12 years after we lost him.
Working line shepherds are my #1.
I have a Belgian, and he's such an amazing dog that is very protective and still in training. Hes a big baby 😂❤
Cane Corsos have grown on me a lot ever since a puppy started coming into the boarding facility I work at. He's super smart and affectionate. When outside in the yard he likes to stand right by me and just watch the other dogs. It feels like I have scary dog privilege lol. Originally I only took an interest in him because he was young and I didn't want to be on a Cane Corso's bad side (also so he wouldn't tear us apart in possible medical situations or upkeep like nail trims). Now I adore him. I still don't know if I could make the commitment to owning one, but I do agree that they're great dogs.
I have a working line gsd and she is an absolute joy to work with. I adopted her five months ago from a woman who only had her as a companion and didn’t train her at all.
We have a lot of catching up to do since she is behind in her training but she is a force of nature and I could not have asked for a better dog. ❤
Poodle. Always willing to protect and love.
I had a Corso for 15 years, what a fantastic dog.
The working line GSD can be a fantastic family pet. My guy is a beast but we imstalled a off switch and he is lovey boy. I will say there is a difference between a true working line and a GSD that you get from your cousins pal upstate. It may have a pedigree but real European working lines are intense.
So most gsd that normal civilians have aren't working line gsd's
Gerrman here. May i ask what you mean by european working line? We have West German Shepherd but they have big problems with their lowered bag and often times HD. And then there is the East Geman working line who have been bred for the GDR Military during the cold war. They are way healthier and athletic but unfortunately the gene pool has become verry small since many breeders stopped after the wall fell. Because people wanted the one with the lower back because they look like a Porsche (horrible, i know). Yet I am a little confused when u talk about euro working line bc i think: which one? they both european...
@@artk8639 mine is a czech working line so it falls in line with the DDR dogs. When I say European working lines I simply mean non American. Most American lines are diluted comparatively with European lines.
I had 4 german shepherds and now i have a anstaff /german shepherd mix,more powerfull, quicker,bigger endurance,very stubborn.
@@shlimey04 most GSDs in the States are a muddled mix of working, show and back yard breeder lines. There are many reputable breeders breeding working line dogs but buyer beware and really do your research if that is what you are looking for
Poodle are sweet, calm and tractable.
I’m on my second working line German shepherd. Truly amazing dogs
I own a working line female GSD adopted from the city shelter. Best dog I have ever had! Absolutely perfect
I love my Dutch Shepherd. So smart and willing to do anything I asking him.
My favorite dog I’ve ever owned was rat terrier. He’s super smart great personality and very healthy. Plus he keeps everything out of my garden.
I love my Malinos X and my GSD they hold the house down and work as a unit. Smart and Loyal
I have 2 corsos and they are the best dogs ever. Great with kids and could handle strangers if needed. Awesome dogs period
my family has had 2 shepherds, one is 13 and one is almost 2. so smart, so fun, so crazy, so cute and faithful. Can't imagine life without one ever again❤️ your training videos are really inspiring me to work with our younger dog. she was absolutely meant to be a police dog and I feel so bad we don't have a "job" for her. but I know regular training and finding new games besides fetch will help her a lot. it's not easy with a newborn and husband that works nights though. but I have to make it work
Love your videos. My first dog was a Woking line German shepherd. A retired policeman started to breed dog for the service and my dog failed because it was too friendly as they said. I was the most beautiful and smart dog I've ever had and my best friend as a teen! I will never forget him. You are absolutely right, it's not for a new dog owner! Lot's of comments, lots of training, also lots of love in return ❤
I miss my Ferro! Best Cane Corso, best dog, I ever owned. One of a kind. So smart. So gentle.
I’ve got a Kangal Pyrenees mix.
Best dog I ever had. Stoic, friendly but protective AF.
That crossbreed would be a sight to see
I’d love to see that crossbreed fr
Got a boxmas he slays me 4 months old and stronger than I ❤
Wow! I have a large male Great Pyrenees. Couldn't imagine one mixed with Kangel.
must be an absolute unit
i have a cane corso and he’s the biggest lil sweetheart, but if my dad gets too rough with us kids he gives him vocal cues to back off and it makes me so happy i took the time to train him.
AS A CANINE BEHAV... oh sorry, wrong guy.
Nice to see another will fan.
Golden lol
we had a cane corso, she was the sweetest dog ever, not the brightest, but the sweetest
Hell yeah GSD for the win. Moss mine so much
100% agree with this list. I have owned 2 corsos and a German Shepherd. Best dogs I’ve ever owned hands down. So intelligent they are a joy to train. My friend has a malino and they are amazing as well. Would definitely recommend
I just got a German shepherd puppy and it has so much energy it takes my entire family to get her tired enough to sleep 😂
What it looks like to live your life vicariously through your dog.
Italian mastiff is a must for a family. Great loving family and protective dog.
We have a GSD Malinois cross and a working line GSD. They’re crazy outside but so loveable in the house - like Jekyll and Hyde! And they just had puppies - my house is mental 😂 but I wouldn’t change it 😊
I have a GSD/Malinois/Dutch shepherd puppy, 9 months old. Craziest dog I’ve ever had, but also so loving and smart. I also have a GSD that I’m not sure about his breeding background cause I got him as an adult. He’s also super protective and intelligent
Totally agree !!! My male is 75 percent Malinois 25% GSD, my female the opposite. 80 GSD 15 Malinois and 5 ck. Wolfdog… so very different but both of them so protective!!!!!
As a kid that grew up with a father that trained K9 police dogs I love and appreciate your videos
Love my Cane Corsos ❤😂
Me too I have 2 small children and she does great with my kids super calm and loving couldn’t ask for a better dog
@@CHARLIGHTER mine is the hell of dogs, ive bull terrier cross and a collie cross but that dog has too much energy...it is like they are not those mastiffs that lay down night and day
Thank you for this video. I like that you " warn " for basic family
Had a Female Cane Corso for 7 years. Got her at 8 weeks and she never pooped in the house once since I got her. Smartest dog I ever had.😊
German shepherd is literally my dream dog
my facvorite breed is a chiweenie. i know it's two, but it's the best combo for someone who wants a best friend and shadow that's extremely smart and sensitive, and also playful and funny, but can be chill too
YES I HAVE ONE HE IS THE BEst. You are so correct ❤
I have a Cane Corso. We have to stay consistent with him every day, but he is a really good boy and listens very well. He’s also great with the whole family including the cats.
The cane corso is one of my favourite dogs but I settled for a Mali thinking it would be easier 😮😮 fml how wrong was I
@@Jake-wm4dw awe good luck with ur dog!!! I rescued mine from Romania she was five months old… she got on great with my other two, bichon frise and chihuahua, took her first season then went all private Benjamin on me although she is THE best guard dog and loves the kids too ❤️❤️
Every breed is near and dear to his heart.
Right there with ya on the working line GSD. My first is now 18 months old. I’ve learned so much about training both from your videos and a local professional (police dog trainer). She is an absolutely amazing and magnificent creature and I can’t believe how lucky and honored I am to have her.
………even though I’m now broke and exhausted 😂😂
That German Shepherd was stunning!
Think I will stick with my Welsh Border Collie 😊
Cane Corso’s are just beautiful. I work with a half cane half mastiff and she’s ginormous but thinks she’s a lap dog. The sweetest baby around tbh.
Note he is a professional dog breeder so no single parents do not get these to be around your children
They are fine around children if you train them properly, most people do not know how to train. So with that said you should not have a powerful dog if you do not know how to train
@@caressjohnsonI've got to agree with the other comment. I really really really would not recommend 1 or 3 for kids unless the kids are trained as well as the dogs.
No dog should be around small children. Children often hurt the dog and then when the dog responds... The dog gets blamed. Small children have no respect for animals.
A new family has zero business owning a working dog, it’s setting them and the dog up for failure
My parents got a Belgian malinois when me and my brother were both old enough to understand how to handle her. We were both almost teenagers when they got her. Most Mal’s aren’t great for families with children, but they will dang well protect those they’re close to. The breeders we got ours from said that this specific one was good for our family and with us kids. The breeder was a good family friend of my Dad’s so he trusted them and their judgement but they’ve stopped breeding Mal’s because there aren’t enough people that want them that they know are going to take care of them and work them how they’re supposed to be.
We've had dachshunds for 32 years, fun, trainable, great for families and a great alarm system
I have a puppy whose dad is Great Pyrenees and Lab. The mother is German Shepherd and Malinois. He is training to be my livestock guardian dog. He has never chased the chickens. He sits and watches. He's very smart.
We've had 2 pointers now, and we love the breed. Super friendly, lots of energy, and are one of the fastest learning dogs i've ever had. ❤️
I have 3 German Shepards, the first ones I’ve ever had and man are they smart. One of the first things I noticed with them is why they’re used as service dogs.
GS lover here! Had one as a child, ex police dog injured in line of duty. He was the most sweetest teddy bear but would turn into a ferocious protector when it came to my brother and I. He actually saved the both of us from harm a couple of times, we are Gen X kids who rarely had human parents at home after school, our fur parent would step in and guard us with his life ❤
Had a working GSD who sadly passed away 5 years ago. I put enormous effort and time into training him. Best dog I've ever had. Nothing he couldn't do and had the emotional complexity and vocabulary of a 4 year old kid. I will never get over losing him. Never.
Dutch Shepherd!! Kind of a mix of these and incredibly smart and kind. Ours is not hyper; she can chill all day or play for hours. We picked a gem😊
My friend's son has a cane corso.. he tries to act tough with me, but then runs and gets his toy, playing it off like he wasn't serious... lol he's awesome.. I love him..
I grow up with a German shepherd and he was the best dog ever playing the role of a nanny if we got to close of the street he was pulling ours diaper to get us away from the street and protecting us fiercely again stranger that was coming to close of us ❤❤❤I highly recommend German shepherd for a family dog !!!
Great Pyrenees Dogs is what we have had for my whole life. They are great dogs, big, playful, not typically aggressive, good with kids, and are just generally really good. One of them passed just recently, but she lived 13 1/2 years.
Literally do anything any other dog can do...
My Dachshund heading down a rabbit hole "follow me then big guy"😂
I can see the love and they so look like you! It’s true, it happens, it’s you all around: personality, loyal and looks
I have a Doberman, 1st time Doberman owner, and omgoodness, so far the best breed I have had. My Akita was smart, Shepard mixes great, I've also had a cocker spaniel growing up, and before that my parents had Malamutes. I absolutely 💯 love my Dober-dork. So smart, keeps me going and surprises me almost every day. But amazing information here, thank you 😊
I love Australian shepherds because they're super smart, trainable, high energy dogs with a lot of personality, and they still make great pets for the average high energy dog owner. Mine is very cute and curious, and he's surprisingly gentle with smaller animals like cats and frogs, despite his strong instinct to chase and herd. He's a very smart and sassy boy, and he's got to be the smartest dog I've met.
Scared to try a malenois or Corso, but the working GSD is a true blessing!
Love those dog breeds
I had a working line shepherd named bronson he was amazing. Such a good protection dog but an amazing family dog. Cash in transit people used to hire him because he was so good. Miss him. Such a handsome fella.
I have a Belgian malinois and she is the sweetest thing ever! Only problem is that she can literally run and play for hours without stopping, really an energetic breed but I still love her all the same
We have a Malinois she has been the best dog I’ve ever had she’s fun and playful listens well is a great guard dog super protective over the kiddos and extra gentle with my autistic daughter. Also she just beat cancer!
I have an italian mastiff, dude is the best dog ive ever seen, great personality, and great bite, like a GOOD bite
Very glad you put in,not for families, it's very important to realise these dogs need total dedication and not just walk them a mile before and after work
We had a Border Collie/German Shepherd mix…he was quite a handful but the loveliest dog ever
My first dog was a German shepherd and the way he protected me no man has
Forever a pocket bully fan always been my favorite tied with pugs
My family has always been a Doberman family. We currently have a 4 year old female Goliath sized named Josie & she's bonded to me. She's a sweetheart, but protective of my family. No training at all, but she listens. Socialized with kids like my nephew. She stays with me when I have a seizure or go anywhere.
That Jump bite off the wall is insane that Belgian dog take his jump bites seriously.
I love my rottie corso ❤ hes amazing with my kids and myself. Hes 8 and i wish he could live forever. His litter was an accident but i felt like he was meant for us 😊
I have a GS. She’s a beast!
I have an 18 month old German Shepherd-Cane Corso mix rescue who is a HUGE challenge in so many ways but very loveable, very smart, and very trainable.
All fair points. And all correct
My girl is a German Working Line GSD. I've probably not been the best trainer, but she's been the best dog ever. Beautiful, sweet, loving with her family and very, very skeptical about outsiders.
Miss my GSD😢 I trusted her more than any human with my kids, farm animals, and me.
It's sad how so many people get one of these with no idea. You're so right. Not for the extreme majority of families.
Loved my Belgian Mali. Sadly she got a spinal tumour at only 4yo and was put to sleep as the cancer had already metastasised in several organs by the time her primary tumour was diagnosed and her kidneys and liver were failing. Absolutely broke me.
