Romantic Garden is so underrated!! it goes well w/ almost every pack- and differently from the plant kit, it comes with actual fun gameplay (Wishing Well)
I got it for free right after downloading the game for the first time. Maybe it's because it's one of the very few packs I have but I can't imagine landscaping without it! The wildflowers are so beautiful and make an appearance in all my builds now.

Fellow anxiety gal here. I love of how open you are with your mental health struggles. It's so important to try to remove the stigma around mental health issues and talk openly about our struggles and our progress! Proud of you for stepping outside of your comfort zone and experiencing new things! (driving anxiety got me real bad too, I didn't get my license until I was 26 and driving to the airport is scary!!). Keep living your best life and rescuing cats ;P (side note, fund-raiser for local animal shelters? You could have people make their rescue pets in sims and tour them like you do builds!)
I, too, would like to see sales data (especially sales data over time) for TS4 and its DLCs. You are so right that any survey is subject to bias problems because the data is confined to people who find the survey (so where the survey can be found is restricted) and to people willing to fill out surveys (which is often a skewed subpopulation.) But the sales data is more pure when it comes to that, because it's blind to things like "who saw it" and "who talks about it."
We really need spiral staircases! We can use the toret spaces and make use of the small curved walls. Also more curved wall windows as well. Ever since high school years, we really haven't had any and when the castle kit was announced, I hoped we would at least get more curved windows or a spiral stair case. A missed opportunity maybe?
Honestly, having two secret doors, one leading to the actual room and one being a death trap, is absolutely something I would expect to find in a castle.
as a VERY casual sims fan (my only exposure to the sims "community" is your videos), i own jungle adventure, luxury party, fashion street kit, desert luxe kit, my first pet stuff, and romantic garden all from when they were free, i got the base game when it was free in like 2017? and the only pack i have EVER bought is cats & dogs when it was 50% off last year because i finally gave in

As someone who used to have A TON of driving anxiety: it gets better. When driving is so necessary to get around in most places in the US, it can be really hard to have driving anxiety both because getting anywhere is a pain and because I found that the people around me got frustrated really fast. I'm so excited for you that you're doing better with it! Going to the airport by yourself, in the dark, to a new place is a lot and you were really brave. Great job! :D
Yess with it getting better, a few months after I started driving I had to go literally 15 minutes away but there was a big road, and I almost had a panic attack. Now, less than 4 years later, I can drive around the big city near me (Memphis) without hardly any anxiety. The only way to get through it is to get through it, and it sucks but you’ll be glad later

i would love a vampire castle! i hear so many simmers say they don't like occults, and every time i wonder to myself if they realise that playing with an occult doesn't mean you have to revolve your storylines around that theme. the best stories, whether they're about humans or vampires or w/e, are about the same things-- love, friendships, inner struggles, goals to achieve, etc... i tend to gravitate towards ordinary family gameplay with a mix of occults (maybe 20%) and plain sims, and the occult features are just a bit of spice.
loooove the tiny castle. The hidden little tv in the bookcase fits in so seemlessly actually? The seance room is beautiful too. The kitchen is too perfect.

I’d love to see a video where you can only progress your sim’s life with the wishing well. Like the only way to get a spouse is with the well, the only way to get a child, wishing well. That could be some good chaotic fun!
FYI IRL do not leave a crystal ball out on a table in the sun like that uncovered - because it can do the magnifying glass trick that can start a fire :x Genuinely surprised this isn't a mechanic n the sims given how much the sims likes things to get set on fire

One castle for each occult could be cool. An abandoned werewolf one, dark and moody vampire one, a paranormal pack ghost one, a mermaid one with a large moat etc.
The door leading to nowhere made me think of the Winchester Mystery house, which would be such a fun build idea. It would be super annoying to play in though lol. Also I relate on the concert anxiety. It takes me about two songs to actually calm down and enjoy it. I went to Japan over the summer and I honestly LOVE the concert culture there. Everyone has their own personal space and there are designated areas for mosh pits and crowd surfing. I really like punk music but often can't go to punk shows (way too overwhelming). So, it was so nice to feel safe while going to a concert with rowdier music.

the windows and door from the castle estate pack remind me so much of the neo-gothic architecture on the campus of the university i'm attending! i'd love to see if you can use that as inspiration for some non-castle builds using the pack. i'd look at any of the original gothic universities like oxford or american universities in the collegiate gothic revival style
The University of Britechester already looks like it's supposed to have a collegiate gothic aesthetic, so combining Castle Estate with Discover University for UBrite builds would be lit 🔥

the fact i was at the same olivia rodrigo concert as Kayla is crazy 😭😭 also i also get overstimulated at concerts! i use Loop earplugs which help so much to regulate the noise for me!
My favourite are the Romantic Garden and Jungle Adventure I use them all the time. What I do sometimes with those bookshelf doors is that I jut out the wall so that it can align a bit with the reg bookshelf, and I will put a staircase on the outside to the basement and hide it with a wall as a feature to the house or with garden stuff around. I love this build thank you

I would probably rank Tiny Living over Crystal Creations or Paranormal (or even Home Chef Hustle) just because of how useful the tiny homes are for gameplay. But the newer stuff packs are definitely the best

I used to be a quiet casual player when I was younger and didn't know people made sims content, but back then I didn't know ANYTHING about the game (I didn't even know you could build mode existed). Now that I watch sims content I grew a deep obsession and I own a good chunk of the packs My friend is a casual player, plays like a couple months out of the year and drops it. She does not own any packs. My sister is a casual player, has probably played like.. 3 weeks out of the year. She does not own packs either. Idk if that helps your question but I don't think the casual players own any packs lmao

I love mermaids in ts4 but they are so "unfurnished". So I have to use spinning plumbobs's mod. Hope we will get a refresh, as well as aliens.

I would probably rank Tiny Living over Crystal Creations or Paranormal (or even Home Chef Hustle) just because of how useful the tiny homes are for gameplay. But the newer stuff packs are definitely the best

I used to be a quiet casual player when I was younger and didn't know people made sims content, but back then I didn't know ANYTHING about the game (I didn't even know you could build mode existed). Now that I watch sims content I grew a deep obsession and I own a good chunk of the packs
My friend is a casual player, plays like a couple months out of the year and drops it. She does not own any packs. My sister is a casual player, has probably played like.. 3 weeks out of the year. She does not own packs either.

The castle kit would be perfect to create a castle wedding venue! While using the wedding stories pack and romantic garden pack maybe.
