- This healthy orange fish curry, made with easily accessible ingredients, is bright, fascinating to the eyes, fulfilling to the tummy and is perfectly able to trigger bouts of nostalgia within a Goan-not-in-Goa or an ‘outsider’ who had once-upon-a-time visited this land of fish, coconut, cashew, sun and sand!

Just wanted to make a small correction....the red chillies you mentioned are not "Bedki" but its correct name is "Bedgi"....
Sooo beautifully shown! Wish you also spoke to us. Don't Goans use Tirphala (Teppals) to cut the fishy smell?
Lovely.. u definitely deserve more subscribers...👍
It's kind of you to say that, Geeta :) Thanks💫
So simple & easy, no oil or tempering?
can you share the recipe of fish curry from Aunty's thali at candolim, behind decathlon, best ever fish curry i had ...
Hi Florency, liked your recipe very much. A small suggestion, whenever you add any ingredient to the recipe, please show the quantity to the camera so that one can visually see it how much you add other then writing.
Add a bowl of steaming hot rice to this curry & you've got yourself an awesome meal!
Hahaha! True that, Winnie💫

Hi Gaikwad, thank you for your sweet comment as well as for your suggestion which I have noted down.
@@FlorencyDias thank u 😊
I am coming to eat
You are most welcome dear!
Hello Florency, I tried this curry which I grew up eating. It turned out well however, my currey was not orange, but more brown- why do you think? Also my curry was more of a thick gravy rather than flowing liquid- where am I going wrong?
Is it tamso and if so what is it called in mumbai as am unable to find tamso here in Mumbai
Soup😁😁😁😁
Can you post a recipe on lepo curry please
Did not use oil at all? If the masala paste is not fried does it not retain the raw smell OR does boiling remove it?
Was additional water used for grinding??
Hello, Jerome, thanks for your interest in my recipe :)
Water can be added if necessary; I suggest dry grinding first (the soaked tamarind+its water may suffice for the initial pulses) and then, if the need arises, add water to form a thick, smooth paste.
Hope that helps💫
Would the weight of fish be 1/2 kg ?
This curry is for how many servings
One cup of coconut would be how many grams
Can i use kokum.instead of tamarind?thk u
Hey Khursheed, you can use whole kokum, but don't grind it with the masala. It will change the colour of the gravy.
