    Just did this project today and I wanna say thank you for the video. I knew being a BMW it wasn't gonna be a normal replacement. My friend is good to go with a new radiator in his 328i and I got $50 and all the beer I could drink!

    Thanks for the video. Both my upper and lower hoses were seized and the upper hose valve broke right where you said it was fragile. BapGeon had one in stock so no problem. It took about an hour and a half to remove and an hour to replace but it took three hours just to figure out how to get the broken parts out of the hose. Ended up grinding out the lower hose with a dremel. Crossing my fingers there are not leaks.

    Great video. Any tricks in swapping those sleeves for the drain plugs, like you said the right in the video - side of the screen. Do you press the sleeve in by hand only and then turn it clockwise when it's flushed or do you have to use a tool and use force to push it in before turning it to lock it? You didn't show that part in the video. Thanks.

    Thanks for the video. Only problem I ran into was the drain valve. My new radiator did not come with a new valve, so I had to use the old one. So, when I went to take the old one off the plastic seemed to crack. I installed the old one into my radiator and drove the car two thousand miles. Then it started leaking anti-freeze. I went under and looked and the valve popped down a quarter of an inch. Simple fix was to use safety wire and wire valve shut so it became impossible to pop down again.

    At 6:09 I noticed that the belt tensioner is a little bent. Mine was like that and it turned out that it was broken from the inside and the only thing holding it was the aluminium screw

    Hello, yesterday I was bleeding for 3-times and it's still "bubbling" behind the dashboard after start the engine (in interior). But I didn't to use a battery charger. It's an issue? I have an 318i N43 engine, what I should do next, please? And it's better to provide a second bleeding with warmed engine?

    I have an issue on my 2011 335i e93 issue is as follows: I get a coolant warning light saying that I need to refill the expansion tank however, my coolant tank is full. What do you think the issue is?

    • @Shamus71
      @Shamus71 5 лет назад

      Reverse Engineered possibly the level sensor in the expansion tank.

    People... Let me tell you something. If you are doing an automatic transmission e90 or e92 this job is much harder than you see here. Just getting the large bottom radiator hose off should have been the toughest part. But no!!! You have remove your intercooler and then the little hoses at the bottom on each side. At first you think you have to unscrew the little hoses from the radiator (because you can't pull it out without them off) but they do have the little wire clips and they'll come right off. But you're still not done! You have to remove the charge pipe connection on the driver side or you'll be battling to get it out. I've had to remove the electric fan before so I knew what I was in for but going in and out might cause you to pull your hair out even if you've done it before. My Behr replacement radiator fit perfect but getting that in was a blast too. Reconnecting all of the hoses was not a problem. Just make sure they are on firm. I just finished mine and was shocked at what a POS the intercooler was. Watch for lots of dirt and debris coming out with it. Good luck!

      I think you might be talking about a 335i because the n52 is n/a so no turbos (meaning no charge pipe or intercooler) also he did say that the vehicle being worked on was an automatic e90.

    • @TheFrenchPug
      @TheFrenchPug 5 лет назад +1

      @@JohnnyZ71 Correct. The turbos have the lower cooler hoses then.

    as soon as a used a flat head screwdriver to remove the blue drain plug, the head of the drain plug snapped right off. no fluid coming out though. should i use a 19 socket to remove the adapter the blue plug fits into? i assume the adapter will completely come out, true?

      Did you get it ? It looked like he had the same thing happen. Did you hold the 19 mil. and pry-turn with a screw driver jammed in there ? I'm getting ready to do mine.

    I am popping a P2570 code. Everything I've read online says I need to replace the radiator. Do I have to get a BMW OEM radiator or can I go with an aftermarket one?

    • @kayzrx8
      @kayzrx8 7 лет назад +1

      You will need the bmw OEM radiator specific for your car. your car is a Super Ultra Low Emissions Vehicle (SULEV) which has a smog sensor brazed onto the radiator. I not sure if the aftermarket radiator are compatible with SULEV cars.
