@@austinhall3937 that hasn't been my experience. I guess that could be true for some folks, but then again, perhaps you haven't slept on one that was properly filled. If you don't get that right, they sure can be.

I love my eight sleep. I've had to get my cover replaced several times due to leaking but their customer care got me a new one shipped out every time without any problems.
So I'm going through this now, my pad leaked but the issue is for 2,000 dollars your pad shouldn't leak ever and ruin your mattress

… a decent regular (king) mattress is 2k+. My sleep number mattress was 7k out the door… spend money on a good mattress and good shoes, it’s where you spend your life
I’d rather get 2-5 years of better sleep than 2 months of free rent.
The need for internet, / their servers is annoying and it honestly made me loose interest instantly
The mattress is great - life changing in fact. Their customer service leaves something to be desired, which is unfortunate with such an expensive product.
I signed up for the app, which is almost $200. I get a lot more value out of my Oura ring at a fraction of the cost. When you sign up, it’s clear that it’s auto-renew. I get that. But companies who offer excellent customer service will send their subscribers a reminder about their annual membership renewals. A great example is the Clear airport membership of similar pricing. They just sent me a reminder that my card will be charged.
I saw a pending charge on my credit card on Eight Sleep, contacted their customer service to cancel, and after several emails back and forth, they still won’t reimburse me for this year’s membership. So bye bye almost $200. Most other companies will reimburse you if you catch it early - not Eight Sleep.
For the price, I'm asking Eight Sleep to give excellent customer service - they didn’t.
Get the mattress, skip the app.
Every review is basically a sponsored 8 sleep review where they CLEARLY didn't pay a dime for the product and are getting paid to "review" it,
I bought this sleep eight super expensive mattress and it's been just over one year and the hub stopped working. I've contacted support but it's very very very frustrating so far because they have been zero help. I wouldn't recommend this mattress to anyone.
you mentioned that it won't work if the internet goes down. Does the MATTRESS cover need wifi? I called Eight Sleep - they said that once it's setup, if you turn off wifi and bluetooth it'll continue to work (e.g. internet outage, or even just concerns about lying 8hrs/day on top of a device (the COVER) emitting electromagnetic radiation). Can you confirm? TIA
Too many downsides. The other options with the DockPro seems kinda crappy aswell..
Strongly considering getting a one. Could you comment on how the cover affected/changed the feel/comfort/firmness of your mattress? Thanks!
Hey! Excited to hear it :) So the Pod cover pro didn't really do anything to the firmness of my bed. I prefer a soft mattress, but I have heard that their mattress' can be quite firm. So if you want a softer bed i'd say go with the cover and your existing mattress.

"No more input required." Uhh, yeah there is... the friggin subscription fee for your bed to work. So ridiculous.
For the price of the annual membership you can hire someone to patch a software bypass to not need it...
talking about getting better sleep, have you heard of sleep apnea? It's huge in sleep quality, and super important for health in reducing heart issues, etc.
80% of people that have it, don't know that they have it, and their life could be lengthened and improved if they just got tested and treated, just with an at home sleep study.

I'd say grab the waterproof mattress protector so there's no need to clean it. But if you mess up (I spilled on it lol) I luckily wiped it off without breaking it

I think that's probably the best sleep combination that would be out there right now. I worked at Purple and always felt like there should be some kind of partnership between the two.
