I’ve been contemplating buying one and I greatly appreciate your transparency of your review. I’m so tired of a subscription-based services. You can’t go anywhere without having to pay for a subscription now. And I think the general market is getting tired of them too. Believe me, I get it it’s an easy way to make money. It’s a shame a company that you had such a great professional relationship with is having so many issues now. I wouldn’t mind you doing a review of the Bed-jet since it’s a cheaper option. Take care brother, and once again, you nailed it!
I've been on the hunt for climate controlled better sleep and it came down to the 8Sleep and SleepMe... I watched videos like this and decided to go with the Bedjet (cause it was much cheaper but I still spent approximately $900 for me and my wife to have it) Here's what I learned "the hard way": if you live in a hotter/more humid place it's NOT going to cool and it'll just be a fancy fan.. What's "too hot" for it to not be able to cool? 79 degrees fahrenheit... and you have to be 2 or 3 degrees under that for it to be able to cool or your humidity has to be low (I'm in Hawaii which isn't TOO hot-not like Vegas or AZ- but we DO HAVE humidity from the moist air so the Bedjet can't cool like at all) So now me and my wife are on the verge of returning it (I will give them credit for a 60 day trial) and getting ready to bite the bullet for the darn $2400 PLUS EXTRA HAWAII SHIPPING (8Sleep WILL NOT ship to me so I have to send it to a mainland friend first... Bedjet and SleepMe WILL send to Hawaii for what it's worth) So $2500+ is a HEFTY spend for me, but as everyone knows QUALITY sleep is priceless
@@BrandonTalbot and to give more info about WHEN it can cool (given the temp is under 76-79 degrees) you can Google "what humidity do evaporative coolers work in". Maybe it'll work for them
You saved me from buying a DockPro. Than you for the transparency and honesty. Sounds like SleepMe is on it's last legs and is trying to moneygrab before it goes bankrupt or is sold for parts.
They’re just looking for funding to expand or sell the business. VC investors love recurring revenue, so all these start ups find ways to push subscriptions.
Hey Everybody! If you have any questions at all let me know! (also at the end I said SleepMe sent me the Pod3) I just mixed up my words haha. 8sleep sent me their product not their competitor.
Just found you and subscribed - great candid reviews. I had to warranty my Ooler 3x but the last one I got is going strong. Any updates on how Chilisleep is doing as a business? Think they're around for a while?
Just got around to looking into these systems. Just to let you know, as a data engineer, data storage is dirt cheap. Absolutely no shot the reason for them upping their pricing is due to data storage.
I got the sleep me cube to save costs and so far so going crossed 🤞. Bought a timer to add. Paying for a subscription was out of the question for me lol
You can’t get away from the first year, at least. It’s definitely pretty sus that they force you into that first year now. Just… price it higher and offer the first year free or something. Rubs people wrong way this way. Terrible for the brand.

Sadly, my old Chilipad finally broke and your videos helped catch me up on the Sleepme company and helped me research the 8 Sleep product. I ended up purchasing a $200 Adamson mattress topper from Amazon that functions like the Chilipad. Ultimately, I did not see the value on the expensive 8 Sleep product and the membership seemed punitive. So far the cheaper Amazon chili pad is keeping me cool at night. Keep making your quality informative content!
@@maurelius135 still works. Just cleaned the unit for my first time since the purchase as I felt it was losing its effectiveness. After the cleaning I'm chilling like a villing.
I was getting ready to get the Eight Sleep after watching multiple reviews. But now with this subscription I'm not too sure anymore! I want to wait longer and see how this plays out.
Yeah if this is a new revenue stream for them... no way they're gonna go back on it... imagine Apple not charging something that's making them money lol Not gonna happen
Same, I don't mind the subscription if it's optional for something I might find valuable. The fact that it's mandatory and I don't want any of it is what sucks. I'm not gonna buy one just because of that.
@@jefe7987me and my wife have had it for over a month and I can tell you it's AWESOME and yes it's worth it... maybe other companies will get in this niche but for right now, they're the best game in town. And yes it's true, we can actually run the air conditioner less at night now!
I like someone who speaks his mind. Kudos to you. On the BedJet, I’ve had it for 5+ years and absolutely love it. Mind you, it’s more of a temporary fan that blows cool air or heat and feels good for a bit. Doesn’t stop a mattress from sweating and hence wouldn’t call it a substitute for Eightsleep.
Hey Brandon, I have a question about 8sleep that I think you're the only one can answer: The website says buying the "pro" subscription (annually) for $288 gives you a 5 year warranty. They also say you can cancel after you bought that first year... So if I bought that first year then cancelled and never got the monthly plan again... Would I still be covered for 4 more years after purchase (for 5 years total) or do they want me to have an active subscription the whole time? Or to have an active subscription at the time you make a warranty claim? Super appreciate all your efforts, thank you 🤙
I've asked this question before, and to my dismay... the answer is no. The total 5 year coverage is only applicable if you maintain the subscription throughout it. Cancelling the subscription cancels the warranty, and this applies for the basic subscription + warranty too. It's very shady and shows a lack of confidence, which is a shame for such a nice looking product.
@@robblly8112 WOW Robb 💥 thank you for sharing that info! That's powerful to know and I totally agree with you.. the product is ALREADY expensive and THEN they want the subscription AND THEN what you said?? Geez.. this company has lots of hubris
the problem with bed jet is that it still requires cooler ambient air. If you live somewhere or in a house that is VERY warm then it won't be as nice as the water chilled alternatives.
My pod 3 hub started leaking and I have to send a bunch of pictures of the pad, hub, connectors etc to get the problem addressed. I find their customer service to be difficult to work with and they want to make it as difficult as possible to get the hub replaced.
Everything has a subscription now. From spotify, to my fitness pal, but at least for those there was no upfront cost. I was really looking at these cool covers but I'm not paying double for a mattress cover then get soaked for a subscription too. Really great review I'm glad I came across you
As if Eight Sleeps required membership wasnt bad enough, I cannot stomach how they charge $108/mo more just for the extended warranty. Whats even worse, after it expires youre still locked into that membership tier. On the other hand, I have hardwood floors and dont want to deal with a Chilipad leak. The market is hungry for a new company who can offer eightsleep quality without their ridiculous membership price. I mean in 6 years, what was spent on the Eight Sleep membership, you couldve paid for a Queen Chilipad pro. Plus we all have sleep trackers already anyway.
Literally got off the phone with them and shared this very comment. I really tried to help Them understand that they have a wonderful product and a horrible membership requirement
@@BrandonTalbot Thanks for what you do! Its pretty obvious sponsorships are working out and allowing them to get away with this. And considering the comments all over youtube, its pretty obvious a lot of sales are being left on the table. That also gives the impression they'd rather be an elite brand than help people, which isnt a good look. A lot of us would even pay $3k for the pod 3. We'd suck it up and finance it. But Im not going to be bled for years to come. I'd rather sleep with an ice pack on my neck.
Awesome review/comparison, Brandon! Sounds like I'll be getting the 8Sleep Pod3 then. I'm wondering if the monthly subscription is worth it though 🤔 I don't really care about sleep tracking. I just need to cool the hell down here in this tropical environment.
I'll have to look into what autopilot is, but I use my Apple Watch's vibrating alarm so not having that isn't the biggest deal. But I guess I'll try out all the features when I buy it anyways. Stoked to get it! Thanks for making these 🤙🏼@@BrandonTalbot
I don’t understand how manually scheduling the temperature changes for the 8sleep would require data analysis and algorithms that need continual dev work and updating to justify moving it to behind the subscription.
If 8Sleep is trying to say that they need to charge subscription fees due to a massive influx of customers, why didn't they change the app to simply store data locally on a mobile device instead? I don't buy their excuse. They are simply taking advantage of their market leader position.
For what it’s worth, I called SleepMe on Friday 12/15/23 for help troubleshooting my Ooler, which kept flashing F2 after I had washed and dried the pad. I had to leave a message, but a lady called me back that Monday and very patiently walked me through troubleshooting the issue. (My Ooler is out of warranty and is being discontinued, so I was quite happy that she was willing to spend the time on the phone until I got it working again.) So maybe their Customer Service is good again? 🤞🤞🤞
My 8 sleep pod is a first generation and the wifi card is going bad according to support. It's funny that it didnt have an issue with the wifi until SUPPORT told me to do a factory reset and it updated the firmware. They want to charge me 500 bucks for a new one. It's only 4 years old. After 2 years the original pad started leaking and they replaced that with no issues.
Right now 8 sleep hands down. While it’s the most expensive and their subscription sucks, it’s far far more reliable than the SleepMe and their customer service is also objectively better.
Do you recommend it? I like the idea of the heating and cooling coming from underneath rather than air blowing into sheets so I'm a little concerned. Really sucks that all these companies are charging subscription fees this has really gotten out of hand in recent years
@@avinsamaroo1317I'm a super hot sleeper that will leave the bed soaked with sweat by morning and the Bedjet has been amazing! You definitely need to get it with the cloud sheet that they sell if you're going to try it though. It distributes the air way better instead of just blowing on your feet. I also found that I only need to set it to 73 degrees and 30% fan speed (can barely feel it) to keep me from getting hot and sweating. I thought I would need to put it to like max speed and 70 degrees, but that ended up being way too cold. One thing I really love about it is how quickly it changes temperature. I can set it to 100 and it'll get up to that in 30 seconds. I can then drop it back to 70 and a minute later it's cool again. It's great for when I want to jump in a nice warm bed (feels so cozy, like sheets out of the dryer) and then quickly want to cool it. With water based systems that takes considerably longer to do. The remote is also really good and super easy to adjust fan speed or temp without even having to look at it at night. The phone app is also great and makes setting custom schedules really easy. Best part of all is I got it through Bedjet's refurb store so the cost for everything was only $370. That plus no subscription and no chance of leaks is what really sold me on trying it. Overall, I highly recommend it and can't say enough good things.
Tried to buy a pod 3 from eight sleep but their customer service was terrible! After waiting about a month customer service manager told me I may have to wait another month for the product to ship. I canceled my order and I have been happy with the Dock pro so far. I took deliver about 3 weeks ago after waiting 2 weeks for it to ship. It's really sketchy that the customer service rep takes about 5-7 business days to respond but it is a useful response once they do! Their phone number doesn't work so you can't call them to get a quicker answer. Nevertheless I'm happy I saved ~$800 with the Dock pro over the eight sleep (adding in the two year $360 membership cost in order to get the full two year warranty for the eight sleep!
I bought this sleep eight super expensive mattress and it's been just over one year and the hub stopped working. I've contacted support but it's very very very frustrating so far because they have been zero help. I wouldn't recommend this mattress to anyone.
@@BrandonTalbot That would be appreciated thank you. I'm so frustrated by their technical support. They keep telling me to turn it on so I can troubleshoot it and I've told them many times that it will not turn on... no power. Then they tell me to turn it on again to troubleshoot. 🤦🏽♂
Latest from SleepMe - I sent Customer Service a question and they sent me an automated reply that a representative would be contacting me. They also wrote this: "Furthermore, we’re thrilled to share the exciting news that Sleepme has been acquired. This marks the start of a new chapter at Sleepme, and we are excited for a journey that will bring fresh perspectives, innovative concepts, and a renewed commitment to excellence in quality and service standards. We look forward to the privilege of gaining your trust on this journey of new beginnings."
Yeah I have written them off, and I’ve emailed letting them know they’ve blown they’re communities trust, and they’re don’t care about us who’ve been here, they could care less they expect us to leave, they want new and uninitiated
They keep sending me “we are working on it”. Pretty insulting and they keep charging me a membership I couldn’t cancel. Had to get my credit company involved.
If Eight Sleep did not have their suscription model, it would be an instant buy for me, but the cost for the subs is crazy and the simple feature for what you buy this matters are lock behind the pay wall...
The reason 8Sleep requires a membership and frankly got more expensive is because they got funded by VC (venture capitalists) which essentially required them to have an "expected" recurring revenue. It's unfortunate but that ended up being the cost they (now the customer) had to pay in order to get the funding to get their product to where it is.
Based on your timeline I bet SleepMe had to scramble to find a new cashflow source when Silicon Valley Bank went down. But still no excuse to go radio silent on existing customers.
Can they just cut the price down and give me a plan analog device without bluetooth or wifi or apps or any of that. I want to try something like this out, and it looks like it’s a mess. Features being added to try and sleep it. I have sleep tracking on my apple watch and my Ozlo sleep buds are supposed to be adding it.
I’d avoid SleepMe like the plague personally. The cube is the only product of theirs that isn’t riddled with malfunction. Not to mention their horrible customer service over the last year. Yes it’s the cheaper option, which you will most certainly have to repair within 4 months or replace.
@BrandonTalbot tempurpedic recently started selling one with fans that blow air through the mattress from a special adjustable bed frame required. All this together costs about 18k for split king. They also have a sleep tracker, but no information on the website about subscription cost.
Consumers, myself included, are suffering from subscription fatigue. We want to pay ONE price. Period. The average consumer has a point where they can't or won't take on one more subscription. I'm in the "won't" group. If a product requires a subscription to function, count me out. I recently stopped using 16 products and cancelled their monthly subscriptions. The value proposition wasn't there. Turns out life is just fine without those products and their on-going monthly fees. Great video review. You have a new subscriber.
I'm ready to purchase the 8Sleep Pod3...your comment has me concerned. Does this cool ENOUGH for you? I'm okay if it takes a little longer - assuming I can just program it to turn on earlier. Lastly - do you happen to have a code that can be used to purchase the 8Sleep? Everyone likes saving money and I would like to have you get the credit for my purchase!
Extremely cold. The lowest temp it hits is 55 degrees and that will freeze anyone out. Yup just schedule it to come on like a half hour before your bed time:) Yes there is a code in the description!:)
The letter you received "from Sleepme" isn't really from them. It's from the courts. It's standard procedure any time a company files chapter 11. Sounds like they got bought and the new management wanted to get away from the company's previous financial problems. Happens all the time.
Heck just for kicks, id like to see your review of BedJet 3 if you could get your hands on one. Seems less fussy this product & substantially more inexpensive. Apples and Oranges I get it. Sleep 8 is impressive, but so costly especially considering the monthly membership expense.
My Ooler just broke after about five years of no issues. Watched this video to get back up to speed on the market for bed coolers. I'd buy the 8 Sleep for $2,295 although that's pretty expensive. What I won't do, though, is pay an additional $300/yr to use it. I'm just going to have to watch YT videos to figure out how to fix my Ooler. Will reevaluate the sleep cooler market in a while to determine if a new competitor has disrupted the space without a subscription model or if Sleepme or Eight Sleep have ended their subscription programs.
You’re definitely not the only one who feels this way and I’ve had a fairly long discussion with 8 sleep conveying this sentiment, but knowing how most big businesses work, it won’t change unfortunately
I m in IT for more than 2 decades, i don't believe we need internet connected for the analytics except sw updates. Subscription is BS on top of the high price tag
Doing God’s work!! I bought the Chilisleep some time back and readily had leaking problems. I am sad to see I’m not the only one. I’m just glad I returned it when I could.
Very informative video unfortunately Eight-sleep doesn’t offer options for split kings which i have been asking for for over a year. I just reached out an hour ago from this post and nothing has changed which lead me to shop for and alternative 😢. I checked out the other forced air unit and wasn’t as impressed as the one you mentioned here . I do have a fear of poor quality product but eight sleep leaves me with limited options. I am Also open to options similar to these from other reliable brands the big ask is sleep metrics and reliability
@@BrandonTalbot it's the same 2x twinxl beds. They don't have a tin xl size so that is the issue and I am left with only the Chilisleep as the only option as well I am afraid
My ooler tube cracked and I legit can’t get a replacement from anyone. A $.50 tube is ruining my $2k purchase. Absolutely trash. Can’t even get a response on anything
I don’t know. I’m the one that sleeps hot and my wife cannot stand it when I try to cool things down (can’t even turn on a ceiling fan). However, I cannot for the life of me justify the 8sleep’s subscription, not to mention the fact that it doesn’t work offline. The Dock Pro is the only option of the two that makes any reasonable sense to me. If it breaks, at least it’s hackable, I guess? I’m also afraid that it all future sleep regulation systems, air, water or otherwise, are going to go subscription model. And I cannot, CANNOT abide by that. I missed out on the Oura Ring 2 and resigned myself to six bucks a month on the 3, and lord knows if I get N&D’d on ANOTHER thing for a good night’s sleep…
Have you looked at BedJet? Might not work with and individualized approach but worth a look. Here’s my opinion, if you aren’t sleeping well you’re paying for that too. Someways are obvious; some not so much. I understand subscriptions suck, but you’re already paying for some. Some are worth it, some aren’t and money isn’t usually the deciding factor. Instantly improving your sleep by a large margin over a long period of time, trust me you’ll look back and say “I’m being fleeced for this, but I can’t live without it now.” That’s how I feel about these systems.
@@BrandonTalbot BedJet DOES have individualized compartments so it's worth investigating. I've heard lots of good about 8Sleep and I'm in a position where I think I could actually afford it. Something about water-based cooling seems infinitely more appealing to me than air-based cooling (even if I don't watercool my own computers...yet). Honestly I think the part that throws me off with 8Sleep is the always-on requirement. Subscriptions are one thing, but I have Comcast and, well...Comcast. I get that the Internet connection crapping the bed (pun maybe not intended?) basically means I go back to the sleep I've had for the last who knows how long, but if I can't consistently get performance from a thing I both fork over $2.5K *and* $144/yr for, then why am I paying for either?
Yeah that I totally get so I’d put more effort into BedJet then to start, I’m one of the lucky bastards that has stupid good internet (2 different providers as safety net given what I do)
So I finally pulled the trigger on the Dock Pro and received it this afternoon. Initial impressions are good but I have been warned by you and other commenters, so we’ll see how it goes. Fingers crossed SleepMe finally has their shit in order.
I can sense Brandon's honesty and integrity. My only concerned would be rather the companies would cater more for him than general population. @Brandon- thank you for these review
I tried the Sleepme and hated it. I now own two Bedjets in my house, one in a guest room, and everyone wants the guest room with the Bedjet! Highly recommend it and no subscriptions!
It took forever to heat or cool down, the pad wasn’t comfortable and cleaning seemed to be an eventual nightmare if you’ve ever owned any water based unit before.
Avoid BEDJET... I am returning mine because it is NOT a cooling device. It uses the AMBIENT temperature of the room and then just blows that air into the bed. That means IF i want to take advantage of the low temp (which goes down to 66), during the summer I would have to turn my WHOLE HOUSE AIR CONDITIONER down. Boy talk about expensive to operate!!! So bottom line is that is is just an EXPENSIVE FAN. So you may want to think twice about saying it is an "alternative" to 8 Sleep or Dock Pro. Got any other recommendations that actually cool?
@@deweyjohnson783 no. Not at all. I am a huge fan of the 8 Sleep. But I am not a huge fan of their subscription service. I think it’s bananas. But I love the pod and cover
Really F-ing hate this subscription BS that not enough people are willing to not buy the products that demand it. The consumer just isn't willing to put their money where their mouth is and make these companies cave to what we want. They don't need more money for secure data storage when they shouldn't be storing that user data to begin with!
A few years ago I bought a used Ooler. Shortly afterwards it began making a horrible noise. I sent it to the manufacturer and after a bit too long they fixed it. Recently it stopped cooling. I reached out to them again and they basically said “tough crap”. So although I bought it used and am not out of TOO much money…now I’m sweating again at night. These systems seem like too much of a gamble. I feel like I would spend a couple thousand and get another year of cooling. I wish there were better options. These systems aren’t rocket science. I wish a major manufacturer like Samsung would start making these.
@@BrandonTalbot Yeah. I ended up getting the Dock Pro. With the 20% discount I got it for about $675 shipped. It was about the best I was going to do new without spending thousands more.
I don't want any AI features that need subscriptions. I just want one time purchase and a way to set a schedule for it. If the mattress has sensors great, but locking them behind a subscription is a scam. I own the sensors. I own the mattress. I should be able able to use the sensors to control the mattress. Really sad that all these companies try to nickel and dime people for using features that shouldn't need any service fees...
The required subscription has stopped me from purchasing an 8sleep for me and my wife. It's a shame as many popular RUclipsrs reviewed 8sleep a year or more ago when there wasn't a required subscription, and gave it good reviews, and it seems like a bait and switch now.
$2500 is a ton of money for a bedding product… that being said I’d probably get one if it didn’t require the subscription… if it was like a $2 option for tracking, ok. screw companies that won’t let you use the normal functionality of a product you’ve already purchased. Manually adding Schedules for temps and alarms isn’t something that requires $17/month when my $40 coffee maker can do it.
I'm am not paying a membership for something I bought. Also why would I give them access to personal information like this? Insane. I won't be buying this product now. I was really excited at first...yeah nah mate.
I've had an Ooler for several years and it's been incredibly buggy and unreliable. Read some reviews about the DockPro and seems like they didn't fix anything. 8 Sleep with a subscription on top of already pricy hardware in absolutely ridiculous, so pass on it too. I guess Bedjet is the only option now
I would honestly still stay away from 8sleep. The fact that you have to pay the subscription to be able to use the hardware you already bought (especially manual temperature schedules and the vibrating alarm) and requiring internet for basic functionality is honestly an insult I hope 8sleep goes bankrupt
SleepMe and the Ooler product is horrible. Terrible customer service and a waste of money. When it worked it was great, but once you have trouble the only option is to buy all new again.
Along with everyone else with subscriptions being stupid I want to know why they can only run with wifi. What does a climate control mat need to have internet for? A simple remote or bluetooth are the ONLY way these things should need to operate. Also, way to go being another ad for 8 to try n push people to throw away their money
I was literally just about to buy an 8sleep. Yeah it’s overpriced but if it gets me better sleep that’s priceless… Then the prices jumped up £290 at checkout… those monthly costs for data tracking are crazy. Slapping AI on something gives companies the ability to rip you off apparently. There’s no way that amount of data should cost £24/month… maybe if the cover was free. Absolute daylight (or probably night time in this case) robbery. Cancelled until they come to their senses.
complaining unfortunately isn't working. they're stupidly set on this subscription plan, even if it's driving away customers. our only hope, in my best judgement, is a new competitor designing a comparatively good product that doesn't include the subscription. what a godsend that would be.

I was getting ready to get the Eight Sleep after watching multiple reviews. But now with this subscription I'm not too sure anymore! I want to wait longer and see how this plays out.
They will not. They have always had some sorry of subscription.
Yeah if this is a new revenue stream for them... no way they're gonna go back on it... imagine Apple not charging something that's making them money lol
Not gonna happen
Same, I don't mind the subscription if it's optional for something I might find valuable. The fact that it's mandatory and I don't want any of it is what sucks. I'm not gonna buy one just because of that.

Hey Brandon, I have a question about 8sleep that I think you're the only one can answer:
The website says buying the "pro" subscription (annually) for $288 gives you a 5 year warranty.
Super appreciate all your efforts, thank you 🤙
That's a question for 8sleep, cause you got me there. I'm stumped. Thankfully they're pretty easy to get a hold of.

Everything has a subscription now. From spotify, to my fitness pal, but at least for those there was no upfront cost. I was really looking at these cool covers but I'm not paying double for a mattress cover then get soaked for a subscription too. Really great review I'm glad I came across you
Yeah it’s rather annoying glad you found it helpful
I really tried to help

Trust me, it makes no sense to me either
I'm new to this channel but I thought this was a video about whether the chill pad stuff works or not what's up with the sleep tracker?
I explain SleepMe's Sleep tracker in the video.
If 8Sleep is trying to say that they need to charge subscription fees due to a massive influx of customers, why didn't they change the app to simply store data locally on a mobile device instead? I don't buy their excuse. They are simply taking advantage of their market leader position.
I don’t either.
Love to hear that they helped you out!
Do you know if there was a smart mattress presence at the 2024 CES?
Truthfully I was underwhelmed by CES.
There was one that I saw though. Can’t remember the name

I have personally not used it, but lots of people through comments have mentioned if you live in a moderately hot or humid climate it’s pointless.
@@BrandonTalbot what brand would you reccomend bc i live in sg and its very humid here
Right now 8 sleep hands down. While it’s the most expensive and their subscription sucks, it’s far far more reliable than the SleepMe and their customer service is also objectively better.
From what I've heard about these companies and the way they are operating, im pretty sure I'll never do business with them. Thanks for your insight.
It’s not ideal that’s for sure
Have you seen any of these used on a sleep number bed?
I’m positive they could be unless it’s a bed that adjusted
My issue with 8Sleep is you can not use it on an adjustable bed (split head king)
Yeah no luck on that…yet👀
Is there any thermal bed cooling/heating that doesn't require a subscription?
Bedjet
Do you recommend it? I like the idea of the heating and cooling coming from underneath rather than air blowing into sheets so I'm a little concerned. Really sucks that all these companies are charging subscription fees this has really gotten out of hand in recent years
I've not used it personally so I can't give you a recommendation. @@avinsamaroo1317
Glad you found a good solution!
I bought this sleep eight super expensive mattress and it's been just over one year and the hub stopped working. I've contacted support but it's very very very frustrating so far because they have been zero help. I wouldn't recommend this mattress to anyone.

I don’t know of a mattress that does the cooling.
Bed jets are good, I own one. It’s great on shooting warm air and good on fanning cool air for the summer time.
Sweet! Glad to hear from someone with personal experience
Yup just schedule it to come on like a half hour before your bed time:)
Yes there is a code in the description!:)
I’m working on it actually:)
You’re definitely not the only one who feels this way and I’ve had a fairly long discussion with 8 sleep conveying this sentiment, but knowing how most big businesses work, it won’t change unfortunately
not joking around, Amazon sells mattress cooling systems for £150 only without an app, and then you can buy Amazon 4 year insurance for like £30
For sure there are cheaper systems.
Hey Brandon, great review! What kind of hat are you wearing in the vid? I'd like to order one.
I m in IT for more than 2 decades, i don't believe we need internet connected for the analytics except sw updates. Subscription is BS on top of the high price tag

When you say split king what are the dimensions? Cause that’s what we are using at home.
@@BrandonTalbot it's the same 2x twinxl beds. They don't have a tin xl size so that is the issue and I am left with only the Chilisleep as the only option as well I am afraid

does anybody care about apps when they are just trying to stay cool?
I’d suggest watching the video about what it is, and that will explain why the app is needed and wanted.
My ooler tube cracked and I legit can’t get a replacement from anyone. A $.50 tube is ruining my $2k purchase. Absolutely trash. Can’t even get a response on anything
It sucks to see how many people are just getting fleeced by a once great company. I’m sorry to hear you’re having a horrible experience

I tried the Sleepme and hated it. I now own two Bedjets in my house, one in a guest room, and everyone wants the guest room with the Bedjet! Highly recommend it and no subscriptions!
Why did you hate it?
It took forever to heat or cool down, the pad wasn’t comfortable and cleaning seemed to be an eventual nightmare if you’ve ever owned any water based unit before.
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for this. Seems like a decent product without the forced subscription could win some fans.
Right now unfortunately we’re limited to Eight Sleep and SleepMe which I’d avoid at all cost.

Really F-ing hate this subscription BS that not enough people are willing to not buy the products that demand it. The consumer just isn't willing to put their money where their mouth is and make these companies cave to what we want. They don't need more money for secure data storage when they shouldn't be storing that user data to begin with!
It's true, until the customer really backs their complaints with their dollars not spent, companies will continue this trend.
The Ooler compared to an 8 sleep from a build quality and reliability standpoint is a night and day difference.

@@BrandonTalbot i really hope so... my story is similar, and i'd take any excuse to buy this product but so far they're giving me none. they could even keep the subscription but limit it to the AI. i don't get why they need to lock it's basic functionalities.
thanks for the help ❤
Yep, I don't know why they went from what they had to what they have now...@@robblly8112
Please Brandon do not promote eight sleep!!! For such a premium product that you pay so much money for it should not take a month to receive.
I’m sorry that was your experience.
Will never buy products with subscriptions.
You probably already have some.
