I just got my permit Thursday and I’ve never driven anything before. This morning my mom had me drive up and down the driveway to start teaching me how to drive, well at least starting it, braking, and the gas. The break and gas has been my main problem. I’m always pressing it down too hard despite it feeling like I’m barely pressing it down. I think I may be anxious or something. Im 214 and I just learned how to drive. These videos have helped me so much in my journey to learning how to drive. My driving skills are now driveable and allow me to drive. Thank you so much. 😏😏😏😏
I'm 24 and just now learning to drive- on top of that I was born with a clubfoot and although it was fixed for the most part when I was a child- I cannot bend my right foot at all. The bone simply isn't there... this has been a huge problem in my learning journey and has been one of the things deterring me from learning for a long time now. I've been having to keep my foot slightly lifted and bending my knee to press the pedals and it's been a whole nightmare. Although I will be getting a left foot accelerator in my own vehicles to try and make it easier It's just been a whole struggle for me.
as someone who is taking in person lessons semi-infrequently and who doesn't have access to a car, this helps me a lot between lessons Would love to see more about stopping at stop signs and when to slow down/how to slow down to a complete stop ON TIME and not too early
got another few lessons under my belt and curious about how to know you're at a comfortable position with the pedals before beginning as I feel like it's a struggle whenever I'm driving a different car
I think every car (model) varies; you’ll find certain cars barely need an an accelerator push to go fast. Always test a car in suburban or calm areas before going into full traffic to just get a feel, never is it a silly idea
Thank you so much! All of these videos have been extremely helpful! I am a visual learner and I like to take things step by step so this has been very helpful. I appreciate you
I just have to appreciate how straight to the point this channel is, if I didn't come across this channel idk if I'd ever have the guts to actually get behind the wheel and learn to drive. I did it my first time today and it's actually much easier than I anticipated, I def have a long way to go of course!
Thanks so much for this video! 😊I’m a beginner myself and I’ve been having some trouble differentiating between the brake and the accelerator and I even had trouble controlling it but I think that this video was very useful and helpful and I will also take up your tip 6:25 of practicing getting a feel of either the brake or accelerator before driving, thx again 😊
Thanks for mentioning that mistake that beginner drivers always do when pressing the pedal, and lifting up your foot while pressing it. Now I know that your not supposed to do that, And to relax your foot on the floor while pressing the pedal on the floor. Now I what mistake I did while driving for the first time. Also I won't do that anymore, and now I know how to do that. Thanks for your advice, this video were helpful. I learned so much about driving, while watching this lessons thanks a lot, I will also share this with a beginner of driving.
I’m still trying to figure out how to not accidentally hit the break to fast. Like I start slowly pushing but the speed doesn’t seem to change until my foot is practically pushing the pedal all the way down, what am I doing wrong?
You have to put pressure on the brake pedal, but when you feel the car stopping more and more, you let off the brake pedal gently until the car stops. You have to feel it, it's muscle memory. You don't have to hold the brake pedal until the car stops, because it will stop suddenly, when you feel it stop more and more, release the brake pedal slowly.
I’m 26 and learning and never have been more exciting after being so scared for years and never thinking I would. I love these videos. Also the music in the background is by Roa for those wondering I actually listen to that artist
Hi how are you? Question 1. Is it ok always to be accelerating? 2. maintaining the speed I want in my driving 3.if I'm on way what to do if someone want to over take me is it ok to be free from the gas pedal
I failed my first driving test by pushing the wrong pedal I did my parallel parking right and reversed to the a parking spot but I pressed to the wrong pedal
@@internetlover4806 Yes indeed. My instructor told me to use one foot and pivot back and forth using the ball of my foot...without actually lifting my foot.

Dude same I'm also autistic, driving is so scary there's so many things to process and everything is unexpected its terrifying I'm currently practicing cuz as soon as I turn 17 my parents are making me get my license.
I have a doubt, but I don't know how to explain it, my thing is that I can't make that movement. I mean by having my heel on the ground and then moving just the front of my foot from one pedal to the other, I need to lift my foot and then place my heel on the ground to hit the brake. I don't let my raised foot just lift it and then put my heel back on the ground. If I don't, I feel uncomfortable. 3:11 to 3:17 that's the movement I'm talking about. The person heel was on the ground and she or he just moved the front of the foot. I can't I need to lift my foot end place my heel back to the ground and then push the brake. I don't have a very large foot. For that movement.
I started to watch your class today and I enjoy watching it. I am now learning to drive and I does get confuse with the reverse especially of turning the steering wheel right or left for the back of the car the way the back have to go I do get confuse. Can you please help
My dad told me you should keep your foot in between the pedals (brake and gas) and to always remember where ur pedals are and find ways that work for you where you will be able to get to your pedals quickly
A lot of beginners would start out first lifting their foot between braking and accelerating. I don’t recommend doing that because it takes too long & you’re more than likely to press too hard on the pedal. I recommend keeping your heel part of your foot on the floor as much as possible (you’ll know once you adjust your seat before driving). Glide the top of the foot from left to right - right to left or until you’re comfortable with knowing where gas and brake should be at. Hope this helps!
