Liked the way you attached the interfacing before ironing. A really clean finish. Watching these videos makes me want to get back into making my own clothes again.
Loved this style of video and these two tops look absolutely gorgeous on you. I could see that tabbed sleeve option looking really cute in a light blue and white striped cotton shirting type material.
Tis interesting what you find out watching sewists. I am from New Zealand and have never heard of this pattern company. I find that sad. Will now look at the options, so thank you. An informative video all round.
I love the interfacing trick! I just made a dress with a v-neck and a facing and I wish I'd seen this before. In other news, I had to pause this video several times because I thought the background music was an ice cream truck 🤣
Love the style of this top, and will put it on my eventually list. Particularly liked the second one, because I'm all about a comfy, loose sleeve. I haven't even made a garment yet, so this is feels a little bit away for me, but very glad to have it on my radar. Watching you do the facing was actually fascinating to me, as someone who's still learning basics. I appreciate the way you showed a lot of what you were doing. I feel like this could be a resource for me to return to later.
That is the goal that it is a resource for people, so I am glad. Its a closer project than you think! I do think it would be a good beginner project because the instructions are quite thorough, it tells you all the adjustments you might need and you could make a bunch of different versions. Maybe a basic skirt, and this is a project no. 2 or 3.
Because I was making as part of a test for the pattern company, I needed to make it like the pattern says. The second and subsequent ones I have made I have just done a back facing.
I can't sew but I'm here because your shorts drew me in. Your style is so beautiful and gives me outfit inspo!
Aww thank you! I am so glad to hear you found me through shorts! It means all that work was worth it to help people find me.
I liked your neckline facing trick. Thanks
Most welcome 😊
I like both versions of this top that you made. Nice job with you facing too.
Thank you! ❤️

Im glad! Yes I love that trick.
That facing/interfacing trick is BRILLIANT! Thank you!
Glad it helped!

I am so glad! They were super nice to work with also, very professional. It is always nice to see a new brand in plus size.

I hope it wasnt too distracting! I just am trying to fill the dead silence. I am glad the trick was helpful
@@ashleymainmakes I wouldn't say distracting... It just highlighted that I was hungry 🤣🤣🤣
I now want dragon wings. 🐉
You totally should! I am so tempted
I have used the interfacing trick myself. Anything that makes it look neat is ok by me.
Its a great trick!
They both turned out great 😍
Thanks! ❤️

This was a very nice review and tutorial. Is that a Pfaff you are sewing on? I have the 7510. It has been a real work horse for me
Thank you! Its actually an older Janome excel that was my Nanas
nice sleeve options. Why didn't you just make a back facIng? I dont like the binding use myself. cute x 2.
