Britain is full of Churches, modern, gothic traditional etc. there is a t least 5 beautiful churches for each town in London. A bit less outside London.
I'm starting to wonder if the lady actually made the whole thing up when she saw a wedding going on so she would get a slice of the wedding cake, even though we don't see it.
Popish idolatry!!! Did the English man not drive Catholicism and the power of Rome from his land, at the price of so much worthy English blood? For why? So he could decorate his churches with such baubles and mammon worshiping tat such as that as I see in this church before me!!!???
The great thing about English is that long sentences like these can be condensed into a variety of other descriptive words that still convey the same message, due to our extensive, vocabularic language. A good alternative for this is "I'm a pompous twat"
I love that she specifically dressed up for this situation.
Well you can't be expected to show up at a wedding in casual clothes now can you
@@tomedy_official you never know!
Do you mean “especially”?😊

No I don't think he did.
I love this scene. it never fails to make me laugh!
I keep telling the story at weddings. Never fails 😉
It's hilarious!
Puddinghead 3434 The first time I saw this scene, it keeled me over in tears laughing
It's just perfect everyone was looking at her but the groom until the last minute

RIP Emma Chambers aka Alice.
Absolute genius writing. May well be the best comedy wedding scene ever written! 🤣
think this is the reason why mrs raven turned out so nasty?
This scene knocked me over when I first saw it....intense moments in the village chapel!!!
The look on David's face is priceless!!
Not to mention poor Hugo, who looks more flabbergasted than usual... 😄😄
Oh me as well.....WOW! It's like ok we all just experienced that.....good, it's all good reset!!!!?
One of the funniest scenes in British comedy imo.
It's pretty funny how Hugo just looks his usual clueless self rather than being infuriated as most men would doubtless be.
He probably thought: Oh? I’m married? I must have forgotten! Oops
Ikr blank AF 😂😂
To be honest it looked like he felt like the Cats out the bag
I very nearly got sick from laughing so hard!
All that time she stood outside, waiting for the right moment to barge in... all for nothing! XD
Brilliant. Absolutely classic scene
I love this British show so much.
I wish I could have been around for this to air live just for everyone's reaction to it 🤣
How many churches has she been to? Lol
Tomedy many
Imagine the catastrophe left behind in all those churches😂😂
Shes dressed as Mother of the bride , how come they thought of that but it works . Very funny
To this day, she is still wandering from church to church in the West Country, determined to find the right wedding to object to.
😂
absolutely brilliant
An oldie, but a goodie! I first heard this one in the 50s, and I'm sure it was around in Dad's war!
I love this British sitcom, it is brilliant :)
What's the name of the sitcom?
@@JulianSildenLanglo Sorry for the delay answer, the name of this excellent TV show is ‘’come fly with me”

The laughter at the punchline, its just soooo infectious!
I'm starting to wonder if the lady actually made the whole thing up when she saw a wedding going on so she would get a slice of the wedding cake, even though we don't see it.
Then how is she going to prove with a marriage certificate
Hugo's lack of reaction when she walks in at 0:17 😂😂
Simply superb!
They shouldn't have used the bloody punchline of this hilarious sketch as its title!
I love her!! Shes am awesome actresses!!!!🌈🌈🌈
The best clip ever
“Oh sorry! Wrong church!”
Hey at least she apologised!
Love how the groom looks so guilty
At least she said she was sorry
Brilliant show!
Just absolutely Bisto
Mrs raven from my hero lol I reckon she's wrecked piers's weddings several times lol
Geraldine McNulty (Bigamy Lady) in The Vicar of Dibley.
Mrs. Raven!
Thought this was WKUK I didn't see. Sorry, wrong vid.
I wonder how I would have felt if the title didn’t ruin it
Good thing you wrote the punch line in the title, would've been a shame if it wasn't ruined.
I'm pretty sure I've seen this trope repeated in other comedies since, but was it ever done before?
What’s the name?
Should've gone to specsavers
This show was so funny to watch. I been in that church to visit it. Its in Turville just up the road
Geraldine. Does anyone know any reason why this man and this woman may not lawfully marry???
Jim. No, no, no, no, no, no!!!
didnt they do this bit in Wayne's World 2
So did they get married after that or was the marriage ruined ?

I'm afraid you wandered into the wrong sketch. try Songs of Praise.
