Ian, I have to say all your content is great but the ones that I like most are the introductory/summary style videos that I’ve been coming across lately. They’re real gems. Especially to share with friends and family that anyone could use to persuade them to get into the hobby/game. Thank you sir. Please keep the content coming.
This was really interesting to see, a compact and good summary of spread out information I already knew. That being said, I REALLY hope you make one or more videos about what you teased in the end, because that is stuff I know little about! Whole arms not investegsted yet? Species and civilizations only teased about? I need to know more!
Fantastic and concise. Also great production. Your videos are the ones I send to people when they want to learn about warhammer. Keep up the good work.
Very good and comprehensive introduction, thanks. I think the Farsight Enclaves also deserved a mention since they've been a variant army list ever since the debut of the Tau Empire in 2001.
great video ian. I also liked that you included the voltaan. While there may be alot of videos like this, your quality is unmatched and you might just be the first one to include the Kin!
Your videos are exceptional. I’m a long term MTG player who is new to Warhammer after playing the Warhammer MTG Commander decks. I’m really enjoying learning the lore.
When put in such a trite and condensed way, i suddenly realised... " what am i doing, playing with these expensive figurines?" I felt an intense moment of questioning my time and choices I've made with it? I am sure i will justify the childhood romance, escapism and a very special sort of magic world i have with this bollocks. One that has lent me, albeit now seeming quite ironically as i stare at my pile of shame from the corner of my eye a wonderful relief at times. The friends we've made along the way speech perhaps? A sad but adult moment i suppose.
I think this is a healthy perspective. We spend all this time on something really, really, REALLY stupid. It's pointless. Can you imagine how bad it would be if we took it very, very seriously? 😂
I’m just getting in to 40k and this was really helpful thanks mate. Leaning towards Astra Militarum, there’s just something about being basic humans and basically saying “come and have a go, if you think you’re hard enough” to all these genetically enhanced species 😂
Masterpiece summation! I’m familiar with 40K but I’ve never understood the big picture especially the vastness of the Horus Heresy. Thank you soooomuch for the time and efforts compiling this history. You are Legend in my book! 🙏
I have never played WH40k, but I wanted to know more about the world because I will play Rogue Trader. This video was perfect: clear and succint. Thank you!

they don't have a separate army book unfortunately - whilst the world eaters are on the horizon (as in have been announced) - so not a 'faction'. Rumours are that that might change though.
Ye Emperor's Children are just some units in the main book and don't have their own codex. You can buy Noise Marines as an Elites choice and upgrade units to have the Mark of Slaanesh, but that's it. Rumors are they will get their codex in 10th. Edition (which is just "lol" that people have already accepted replacing all of their 9th. Edition books).
