Thanks for taking me on your journey. I so much enjoy walking along with you virtually while sitting at work. I would rather tag along here that actaully work. Onward through the Fog. Be Safe and Thanks for sharing.
If I may, a comment or phrase that you need to remember, believe in Yourself! You attitude is amazing, keep the faith. Where you are is the closest to heaven on earth. I wish I could do what you are doing. Keep your head up and enjoy where you are and what you are doing. Travel safely. Keep posting you're amazing.
Short sweet and informative :-) keep up the good work glad to see you resting elevate that foot, put some ice on it and remember we're here for you don't be a slave to RUclips, a little nice short videos it's all that's necessary thank you for keeping us posted and taking us along on your wonderful journey.
I’m a breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack bag kinda girl. Keeps everything organized but I liked being able to choose what I wanted at each meal. Even if it was oatmeal for dinner and lasagne for breakfast!
Subscribed! I follow about half dozen thru-hikers each year and I think you have what it takes. Looking forward to last "It's crazy" comment when you touch that sign on Katahdin!
These videos are cool and giving me more of a visual of the actual trail, but would have been cool to see town stuff too in this one. Zero day guilty pleasure lol.
Thank you for the update. I am one of those people who have each day's meals in a bag, But . . . then I saw a video of Tara Dower explain that they put all the breakfast, all of the lunches and all of the dinners in its own bag. This system reduces the number of bags, since I can put 7 days in each quart bag. So that is 3 quart bags instead of 7. I think that is the way I will go. I am not going through all of my drop boxes to change it now; I will wait until I receive it on trail, since I might change my mind again. I then have a no-smell bag in which I will put that day's meals, snacks, electrolyte drinks, tea, vitamins and meds. I am still in flux . . .perpetual.
I remember that. She merged with Ibtat for a while early on and then he was just gone one morning, lol. She must've slept in or something I can't remember.
@@tvtoms Her fiance showed up. He worked 14 days on and then had time to hike with her and then back to work. He must have walked close to 1/2 of the AT. IBTAT was being a gentleman. I followed more than 30 hikers that year. About twenty of them finished. Good Luck, Rick
@@richardross7219 Yeah I remember him showing up, but I also remember Liz being a bit miffed that he just took off. I've also followed a lot of hikes since 2009, but I quickly whittle down to just a few each season due to time and attention span. I don't watch selfi style videos, or ones with music playing all the time. A lot of people make those kinds so usually it's easy, but these days it's so so popular to vlog a hike.
@@tvtoms I'm retired. My wife died in 2017(2 weeks before our 39th) and I was depressed. Watching Scoutmaster on the AT 2018 helped me a lot. I then added a lot of vloggers. My interest in the AT went back to when my Troop section hiked several times in the 1965 to 1969 era. I was looking forward to a thru hike in 1975 but the Army had other plans for me so I never got to thru hike. I am now to old and worn out to hike so I watch others do it and sometimes give tips from my experiences. Good Luck, Rick
@@richardross7219 I loved Scoutmaster's video series too. Anyone who does a vlog series like that is a really good one to follow I think. I'm sorry to hear of your hardship, but I know how therapeutic hike videos can be. After a couple of heart attacks I became permanently disabled in 2016 and rely a lot on the calming walks. AT hiker subscriptions are the first things I check each day still.
I don't know if you can get something ordered ahead but if you continue to struggle with your ankle, I got my husband a shock Dr ankle compression sock and it's helping him tremendously. He broke his ankle in middle school and now at 50, arthritis is a beast.
It always nice to get a zero so when you get back on trail your ready to get back out there. Little breaks are good. Look forward to your next day on trail. 💟👍🙋🏼♀️💟
Take your time the first couple weeks. Build endurance. Listen to your body or it will be your downfall. Hikers younger than I gave up from pushing their miles. Take a couple zeros. Lighten your load and cut your hair. I’m serious. Lol. It’s freeing and It will grow back. God Bless
Hi "KNA"!!---I'm rooting for ya all the way! Actually, Ill be behind you in about 3 weeks---which is when I leave. But anyway, I did mean to ask you if have previous long distance hiking experience. The reason is this: I noticed you have been doing fairly high-mileage days---16+---and it seems to me that's kind of high for the beginning of the A.T. But as I said, I'm guessing you've got that high-mileage experience. But in case you don't, you may want to consider slowing the pace UNTIL the "true" Hiker Legs kick in---just a thought, as it may be what's causing the swelling you mentioned. In any case----KEEP IT UP---AND HOPE TO SEE YOU OUT THERE!---"REDFEATHER"

I sooo look forward to each video you put out!! Kool voice young lady!
That’s awesome you mentioned handstand, I absolutely loved watching her journey.
Amanda Coe and I have been watching every video you have been posting and thoroughly enjoy it. Hope your ankle is better.
I watched Handstand through her entire hike. She was organized. Funny to think that she thru hiked 4 years ago. Good Luck, Rick

Much needed rest for you. Take care of that ankle.
Da bag nd filter works great together
It's funny to hear you talk about Liz Kidder. Your dreds reminded me of her. If you can do handstands it would be like deja vous.
I loved watching Liz.
She was a treat to watch.
I found that I put all my snacks in one gallon bag, all my dinners in one and all the breakfasts in one. Worked great!
Liz kidder is one of my favorites to watch! you are doing great and I'm really enjoying watching your journey!

RICE that ankle (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation). Make sure you're getting enough protein in your diet, as well. Happy Hiking!
Outdoor 76 is amazing 🤩 Glad you enjoyed your town day!
Rest up. Let your body recharge. If you have extra, mail it to a hiker postal location where you can pick them up later down the trail.
Enjoy the rest time. 👍

I’m the “organized daily ziplock” kinda gal, which is funny because elsewhere in my life I am pretty disorganized:-)

You are doing great. Prayers for your ankle to heal. Have you found a hiking partner yet? You look fabulous. Prayers for your safe journey.
Glad you are not as organized as some. I am like you, never know what I want until the moment 🧀
We don't mind shorter vids on your town days; you need that time for yourself. Hope you got the body rest that you needed.
Rest. With the kind of insane milage per day you are knocking ot I am sure your body needs a good zero. My husband and I are loving your channel.
CNOC bags are sturdier for sure. Enjoy your well deserved zero! Mtn Goat
Get some rest...
