Side trip.a great idea, a break from the AT. Your smile is back which means your spirit has been given a full day to recoup. Continue your safe travel.
Please keep posting your day and section hikes 😍 you look so much happier and I find you to be a very peaceful person to listen to and I love seeing the footage. Thanks for sharing!
Lovely daffodil flat. We have a similar one about 5 miles from my home at Wye Mtn. The yellow flowers have their big moment of glory then sleep for a year
Very cool. Thanks for sharing. You must feel super strong hiking with a lighter pack. Love seeing y'all out and about and so glad you are doing what you love!
Wow! I've been to Linville falls in the gorge via the Blue Ridge Parkway. Will definitely have to check this out. Surprised so many flowers are blooming already with as cold as it has been.
The gorge is incredible! Oh, and the daffodils are so pretty. And there are so many of them! You made the right decision to stop your thru hike. You look so happy and relaxed. I'm sure your family is thrilled you're home. Good call!
I’ve been watching along with your hike, it’s very inspirational to me & been keeping my vibes up during a rough time ☺️ I used to hike ALOT. I live up in the front royal virginia part of the AT & would be happy to help you in any way when you make your way there if you need anything! Thanks for your beautiful videos definitely makes me miss my trail days
I don't know if I was on the Pinch In or something else close, but just remember saying to myself "wow, I don't have to bendover to touch the trail, I just have to reach straight out in front of me". Rough is right! :- )
Nice hike. I bet the reduced load feels like your not carrying anything at all. What is attached to your left shoulder strap ? Its black and looks like it has bat wings.
Been to the Gorge a bunch of times. Last trip was a 5day giant loop. When people ask me what the gorge is like, I tell them it is tough, but to me it's worth it. Not an "easy trail" I'm that place. There is one easy section of the lgt, but it doesn't last long 😂 glad you got to experience the flats, it's pretty cool, but also gets a lot of foot traffic.
I would love to backpack the loop! We have hiked up all the peaks and when he hiked through on the MST we crossed the river but I’ve never backpacked in there!! Goals!
Comparing this video to your AT hike is like watching 2 different Keenas. From what I've seen, you are a physically strong hiker and would have completed the AT, barring injury, of course. But, on the AT, you never really looked as happy as you do now. The AT revealed a bit more to you about who Keena is. I don't know when you'll do it, but I hope you jump on the AT, again. But if not, daffodils will still bloom. Be well.
The daffodils are so pretty! I’m scheduled to do this hike 3/21 but afraid the daffodils might not be still blooming, especially after all the rain this week. What do you think?

Beautiful scenery and daffodils 🌼. You are glowing and it shows. Happy trails.
Beautiful area. You look so much happier since you got off the AT. So many smiles.
What a beautiful place that daffodil flat is. I have never seen that many in one place. You are so lucky to have such great hiking!
Beautiful place, wonder if there used to be someone's home there and all that's left is those daffodils?

What a great hike! I did that trail last year when the daffodils were blooming. You look so happy!
Looks like fun.
Wow! This trail just went on my list for next spring!
No Daffodils in Connecticut, but I did see some crocuses this afternoon.
I did the Pinch In Trail out and back to Daffodil Flats earlier this week. It was rough but worth it.
I don't know if I was on the Pinch In or something else close, but just remember saying to myself "wow, I don't have to bendover to touch the trail, I just have to reach straight out in front of me". Rough is right! :- )
👋
When I move back to NC, it's going to be on west side of the state. Greenville NC was wonderful place to live but I think the west is calling me.
Nice hike. I bet the reduced load feels like your not carrying anything at all. What is attached to your left shoulder strap ? Its black and looks like it has bat wings.
Hahaha my daughter gave me that. It’s hand sanitizer. I love vampire movies. 🤷🏼♀️

Follow the Linville Gorge group.. you can kinda keep an eye on them. There sure are a lot of them!
Where can I find info on how to get to the trail head for this hike.
Google maps, Pinnacle trailhead parking
when in march did you go?
UNNAMED IS A BEAST. AVOID IT.
