Enjoyed watching your hike. Great thing is you have all your videos to go back and watch. I wold encourage you to do so to appreciate what you did and get insight on your thoughts along the way. Wish you nothing but the best in the future.
As another viewer said, "It's good to see your smiling face." I hope you and yours are doing well, your videos are soo inspiring. Thank you! Much Aloha 😊🤙
I enjoyed your journey. Glad you listened to your heart. I’ve wanted to do a long distance hike. But I think I’m just destined for day hikes. I’m ok with that.
Omg! I’m so impressed with what you’ve accomplished. I couldn’t continue after 60 miles- my knee was strained. I went to Springer with my husband so I could see it - I had completed Maryland and 20 mi in southern pa - we also checked out Max patch and hot springs. On returning home, my mom suffered heart attack then stroke in one week - so that’s my current focus. BUT!!! I hope to continue my hiking on the AT- I have the gear! Gotta strengthen my knees and improve my balance. Section hiking will be my next thing! You ve been an inspiration. I’ve so enjoyed your videos. I will continue to look for you! Hike on, as you can! And continue to vlog- I’ve loved it!
Wow.. I’m so sorry about your mom. I hope she is improving. Yay! Here’s to section hiking!! We can do this..right!?!? Good luck in the future on your hikes and thanks for the encouragement!!👊🏻🥾🥾
Enjoyed watching all of your AT videos. I applaud you in even starting the journey. Hope to see you continue the AT maybe get back on soon since more people are coming through where you stopped. We were really thinking about you this weekend with all the bad weather wondering where you were and hoping you were safe. Looking forward to your next steps.
I was listening to an audio book while day hiking on my local mountain the same day you left the trail. The book Just Passin’ Thru written by Winton Porter owner on Mountain Crossings. A hiker named Billy Bumble Foot stated a rule saying “Never quit in Town, Never quit going uphill, Never quit in the rain. If you are going to quit it has to be on a sunny day on top of a ridge with the wind in your face. You never walk away weaker, you walk away stronger.” You did it right.
This is awesome to hear 👏🥾🎒 Can’t wait to see you do more of the AT! I personally would hate being by myself for as long as you were. I use an IPhone 22 pro as well for all my videos & pix… I will be watching for more videos… Happy hiking 🥾
I too will be doing my AT hike in sections. I have some long time friends that will be doing a flip flop starting in June so I'll have someone to meet up with and hike some. I live in TN so maybe I'll see you out there sometime. I look forward to following along on all your adventures. Keep up the amazing attitude and Throttle on!!
I liked getting my favored garments relined/sprayed. Some things lasted years longer than expected. I enjoyed your Apalachin Trek. Great to see such a renowned walk taken the way I'd have done it, back in my day. Measured, alone, out of season. looking forwards to going thru your back cat.
So happy to see you, I missed seeing you. Each day during my lunch I was watching your journey. 💜 Thanks for your gear update and soooo very happy that you are going to continue your adventures! Hike on! Throttle on! 🥾
You did an amazing job! On a recent section hike (we have a 10 year plan to section hike the AT), Tom from The Hike Inn in North Carolina said "everyone is a section hiker until they touch the sign at Katahdin - that's when they become a thru hiker." I thought that was profound and an encouraging way to think about "thru hiking". Looking forward to following on your adventures!
You look really glad to be back home. I enjoyed following your adventure and wish you many more. That said, if you'll forgive a little Monday-morning quarterbacking: in retrospect you started pretty early in the year, and I think that contributed to the things that really got to you (loneliness, crappy weather). Personally, I would have gone home way before you did. Great respect to you, walk on!
Have enjoyed all your videos and I look forward to future postings of your hiking adventures. You have offered encouragement each day you were on the trail. Thank you! -Jiffy Pop
Hey! You say you might want to hike the AT again, specifically not alone. Perhaps you should form a group?!. I'd be interested in joining if you do. I have wanted to do the AT for many years, but just not sure if doing it alone would be good at this point in my life. Watching you and Jay has really inspired me to want to do it even more. I'm thinking next year. 🤔
I got the bell sound ding, and I was like 😲😲😲 she's NOT done! She decided to throttle on!! 🤗🤗 .. I was excited!.. But, now that I see how happy you look and sound from the comfort of your own family and home, I'm even more excited for you.. You are truly one of those rare people that you stumble upon that just make this world seem like a much better place. Your heart and soul are both so completely pure and beautifully balanced. You're an inspiration to many.. Even the way you say "good morning" at the beginning of each video, tells me alot.. Eventhough you were embarking on an amazing solo journey, you still took the time to make sure to acknowledge everyone else was good and well (us, the viewers).. You're a rare breed. It's the ones like you, who keep the world spinning.. Your soul I imagine, looks like the way the world once did, before humans came along and destroyed so much of her beauty.. Just 100 percent amazingly beautiful... I've tried to explain, but some things are just felt to the point of no words, no matter how many times you try to explain it in so many different ways, you just still cannot fully explain it.. idk, now I'm just rambling on lol.. Thank you for letting us take part in your memories.. Enjoy the fam and keep throttling on! 💪🖤✌
Wow I’m blown away. Thank you. I never thought anyone would follow this journey. I actually thought I would have to beg my family to hahaha. This has been an amazing journey in such a different way than I expected! I had given up on people. I hiked and I went home .. rarely getting out in public. That’s why I thought I would love this adventure. The people are what made it for me! You guys are why I kept trying to make it work. So, thank you for being a part of it all. You guys will never know how all this has helped me. 😊✌🏼
Thanks for updating! We enjoyed following you on the AT and will continue to follow your adventures. I can tell you’re happy now and have a peace with the decision you made. That’s all that matters. All the best to you in the future.
Aw man, I fell behind a couple of days on your videos (only because I went out of town to say goodbye to some family) and I feel like I missed so much! I'm sorry that I won't be able to watch your A.T. videos anymore. I feel like I know you even though we've never met. I sincerely hope that you keep your head up and don't beat yourself up. You are a gangster and a badass in my book. You've accomplished SO much, experienced so much and seen so much. I believe that you got what you came for from the A.T. You may not have summitted Katahdin but you successfully reached your destination, always remember that. That, my friend, is a win. Thank you for all that you've shared with us and thank you for being genuine and transparent. Your husband and family seem awesome too. THROTTLE ON!!
I’m excited for you. Can’t wait to follow!! The emotions…. It’s like everything comes to a head. It caught me off guard! You’ll be prepared though. It’s so cool to be out of control for a bit. You know what I mean.. there’s so little out there that we can control. You just take it as it comes. It’s a beautiful thing.. but tough as hell. That’s why it’s worth it! 👊🏻
Was hoping to meet you in Maine. But, something's things are not meant to be for now. I'll see ya! You will make it up here some day and you will love it. I'll be doing the AT SOBO in 2024, maybe see you on the trail. Best of luck to you! Throttle on and always trust your gut feelings.
You did a longer LASH than I ever did (PA) and I finished on Kathadin last year after @ 18 yrs.at 72yo. You did GREAT under challenging circumstances and have nothing to feel bad about!! Mtn Goat
Good for you, Looks like you are in your happy place. Just think, it takes some people 2200 miles to find what you found in 400....Thanks for letting us share your journey, Take care.
Loved watching you on the AT (in AWE of your hiking distances!) and will continue to watch future videos. I live in Upstate SC…so look forward to seeing hikes in this corner of the world! Linville Gorge….love it! Did Daffodil Flats this time last year! What an amazing wilderness area! Best wishes!!
It's true, you have to hike your own hike, what ever that looks like for you. Your channel can become what ever your doing, travel, hiking, outdoorsy fun of all kinds, or whatever your hearts desire. Thank you for bringing us along your journey. 🙋🏻♀️💟🌄
Great to see your update & that you didn’t just disappear 🙂 Sending our love & best wishes from the UK for your future adventures, its been awesome sharing your journey. All the best, Throttle
So good to see you in your happy place and see you throttling on even with the changes. I’m really glad that you are at peace with your decision - can see it in your eyes. And I’m glad that I got to see that it really is okay to change courses. Thank you again.
I've followed you from the start from Newfoundland. The important thing is you made the right decision for you, not for anyone else or anyone following you. You learned something about yourself that you can take with you for the rest of your life. Do the things that brings you joy!
Its good to see your smiling face! I loved watching your adventure everyday out on the trail. I cant wait to see what you do next. Good luck out there an see you soon!
You're a tuff lady to do 420 miles on your own you keep the throttle on full tilt you have a lot of hiking to do. I don't know how you did it in all that rain and cold. I did enjoy your trip keep posting your short hikes best regards to you and your family
Was so surprised to see you on here tonight! I’m so happy to see you again all relaxed in your home with your family. You look great. I have no doubt that you will be back on trail at some point! But family first! Stay well and keep smiling. Throttle on!! 😊❤️🙏🌻
I'm glad to see your doing what makes you happy but I have to admit I'm going to miss the videos. Hopefully you'll continue to film your other adventures
Sorry you had to change plans. Understand that it wasn’t what you expected . Question if you had done fewer miles in the beginning do you think that might have helped? Hope you try again with a couple hiking partners.
I don’t think it was the miles. I was ready to hit 20 mile days. I was prepared physically.. just found that I didn’t like spending all that time alone. We are social creatures whether we like it or not. 😜 I do plan on doing some small sections soon and then probably a LASH after the crowds pass. I think I have some people that are interested in going with me this time. 👊🏻
It's so very nice to see you again. I really didn't expect to see you so soon. As mentioned before, reading your followers comments is heartwarming, you've attracted a wonderful group of YT friends.
The jacket was good. The pants had slashes in the legs the first day from branches that I passed in the Smokies. $20 dollars for the whole suit..not bad though lol
Awesome update! You went a long way solo. 👍🌲
Enjoyed watching your hike. Great thing is you have all your videos to go back and watch. I wold encourage you to do so to appreciate what you did and get insight on your thoughts along the way. Wish you nothing but the best in the future.

🙏🏻
The jacket was good. The pants had slashes in the legs the first day from branches that I passed in the Smokies. $20 dollars for the whole suit..not bad though lol
Nothing wrong with section hikes. Take a look at the Ouachita Trail in Arkansas…..223 miles long.
I would walk with you anytime 😃
