Awesome pushing on today in the rain. Thank You for sharing your dinner options too, it’s really helpful for us to plan our thru-hikes. Hope your shoes weren’t frozen!
I love that you show the trail more than the town days and just simply walking and letting the sound of your feet do the talking. I would love to see you make your meals. Might seem silly or easy but I’m genuinely curious to see the process of making a hot meal
First, do not think you are too chatty. I know I’m no alone in being fascinated with everything you share even mundane stuff. Second, got to give it to you girl! Day in and day out in the rain…you are one tough lady! Do throttle on and be thankful always. I’m thankful you are sharing your journey and thankful that you have a husband to encourage and spur you on!
I always remove the insoles from my shoes/boots to let them dry. I also wear all my clothes until they dry out, even if it means sleeping in them. Of course, I never wear cotton. The best pair of socks I've ever found are Hanes Vent. They keep my feet really dry. No blisters and even when they do get wet from rain, puddles or stream crossings, they dry out really fast. Putting things in the bottom of your sleeping bag at night also helps to dry things out and keep them from freezing overnight. Stay warm and dry.
Love following along on your hike. You are so courageous, being alone in the shelters must be peaceful but I hope you find a few companions to share the journey with.
I finally understand what causes the odd background noise in videos where you are hiking. Your microphone is rubbing against the pouch on your shoulder strap. You might try wrapping the cord once around the handle of your trekking pole as you record. It might keep the microphone from swinging. I prefer the longer videos where you talk more. I’ve seen a lot of videos of the trail. What draws me to these videos every year is to see and hear how each kicker experiences the trail. It makes the trail and your journey along it come alive for me, makes me feel like I’m hiking it with you. Sharing the random things that pass through our minds is what we do while hiking with others. It’s nice that you share yours while hiking alone.
Another great video!! Tomorrow will be a good day! You have angels watching over you! Hope you get a good nights rest! Throttle on one step at a time to get to Maine!! 😊❤️🙏
Ahhh my main hiking area of East Tennessee and sorry I missed the you with trail magic. Great views from Beauty Spot on a clear day and the Emerald Forest walk is a treat. Clear and warm days are just ahead. -Jiffy Pop
Nothing but gratitude - thanks for sharing your hike. I know I’m going to buy an umbrella!
Thanks for showing ALL aspects of your hike. It helps those of us who hope to do it someday understand what it is like. :-)

Thank you for the views and for allowing us to hear your true story on the trail
It helps me and others to prepare.
You're doing great! I have become convinced it rains more on the AT than anywhere I've ever been. Being wet and cold is hard but you are so doing it!
thanks for showing us our Beautiful Nature
What rain jacket and pants are you using? My husband and I have been following from Day 1, we love your humble down-to-Earth attitude! ❤️🥾
I started the trail with Marmot Precip jacket and replaced it with Patagonia Torrentshell. My pants are Columbia.
I laugh every time you guess the pronunciation of place names. Keep on keeping on.

What umbrella is that? Is it made to attach to the backpack for hands free?
Zpacks and yes you can get clips that attach to your backpack strap that hold your umbrella.
Do you think being ahead of the bubble and being alone is making it harder mentally?
If you think of it when editing your daily videos, you might mention what state you’re in.
Cherry Gap shelter is in TN🙂
Hey gal build a fire and dry out your clothes. We did it all the time.
