I am so enjoying these videos. They are places I have been or want to go. I was here last spring. I like when you show the signs and tell the names of where you are or going. It puts me there!
Glad to see you took it a bit easier mileage wise this day. Don't want to go to hard too many days in a row and get burned out. Keep it up you're doing great!
10:12 good for you 11.8 +/- miles :) following along I had to load the new phase of far out :) yes very nice site good miles on your first day back slow and steady yet you're knocking it out in 3 1/2 days in the Smokies WOW I still amazed at that,
Heard you mention Max Patch and a smile crossed my face. I hope it’s a clear day when you get there. I hope all good things for you. Love to you and yours!
Just saw you on Kelly Hays live and commented that you are killing it. Enjoy watching you knock it out of the park every day. Keep it up and thanks for recording and posting for enjoyment
I love your videos. I thru-hiked the AT last year and loved it. It was hard but so worth it. Did Liz Kidder (handstand) do your hair? I think you mentioned her in one of your previous videos. One thing I would suggest. When counting days for a thru hike, most people count ALL days, including zero days in their total. I noticed that you have decided not to. It’s just a little confusing when you hike day 16, take 3 days off, and then hike day 17. IMHO a nobo AT thru hike is the total number of days from Springer mt to Katahdin. In the end it really doesn’t matter how you count it and as always you should HYOH. I just wanted to point out how it’s normally counted. Again love your videos and can’t wait to see more. I agree that day was super boring. It was the only one where I think I didn’t bother getting any video footage, I was so over it and just couldn’t wait to get to Max patch and then Hot Springs. I still can’t believe you got through the Smokies in 3 1/2 days! (It took me six.) I bet that pace helped you stay warmer!!! You’re doing great. I am enjoying following along. :-)
I really appreciate that you've shown the white blazes so well, that's a huge help for us who will follow in your footsteps, THANK YOU! And, I was wondering if you'd changed any gear while you were home those three days. If so, what and why.
Mainly just unloaded the extra sleeping bag I carried through the Smokies..I bought a Nalgene bottle and Crocs for camp shoes. So I added things that are slightly heavier but more durable.
You are coming up to one of my favorite places - Max Patch. I’m from Haywood County and spent a lot of days there. I hope you are there on a clear day so we can enjoy the views! Take your time, enjoy the journey!
***** HAY ! Take a stick about 15" long and stand it up under the middle tent draw string on the side wall of or your tent. The line is guided over the vertical standing stick and it will pull that sag out of the tent giving you more head and foot room.
So here’s the thing, once you injure yourself it takes a long time to heal if you are able to heal because you’re gonna be hiking for a long time. Don’t be in a hurry, hike smart or you won’t make it. Also we always counted our days from the day we started until the day we finished not just the days on the trail?
You are doing Great! Don't push your self too hard and damage yourself, I did that on my hikes and I am still trying to get my right knee healed, besides that you are in God's Country enjoy His Creation and the Views that Come from Him! You are defiantly doing Great! Just remember you can miss a lot if your speeding through. Praying for you always! Happy Trails!!
Your definitely doing great really fast but you are missing out hiking fast an alone you will get tired of being alone and regret running through this and not experiencing the people an places that make the trail. Tell your brain it's ruining your trip. 😆
Yeah...Kelly Hays gave you a shout out and encouragement....you are an inspiration. Thanks

Beautiful day and beautiful views. Keep on stepping 😀
Glad to see you took it a bit easier mileage wise this day. Don't want to go to hard too many days in a row and get burned out. Keep it up you're doing great!
Nice "seeing" you last evening on 9-Lives final AT video! It was party time!

Yeah that was crazy trying to plan with only one map or the other at a time on FarOut.
@@KNAOutdoors2022 you’re clicking along with every step. In no time you’ll have to be jumping to another map very good for you

We love your videos! Thank you for sharing your journey
You can put a stick under those storm cords to lift them up a bit. It would give you a better angle and pool the outer layer away from the netting.
🙏🏼
Try making your tent poles higher also
So enjoying your journey! Find the balance and don’t wear yourself out!

Cool, I've never seen where the AT goes under I-40. I wonder how old those stairs are. Glad you had a good weather day!
You’re amazing to finish Smokies only in 3,5 days. Congrats. Beautiful trail I hope one day I’ll walk. Keep on!👏

Looking good gal. In my day the saying was "No Rain, No Pain, No Maine" Enjoy the color that comes out in the woods when it rains. Pacer AT 1992

Beautiful day and nice start back after a couple well-deserved days of rest.
Good video with some good views, so let's keep on hiking

It is a journey, not a race.
You said you went home for a few days after you got through the Smokies? Where is home may I ask?
NC
I would love to know how you fix your hair like that. Looks like a lot of work.

Also, you never mention that you are hiking with anyone. Are you always by yourself or? You and Jay Wanders Out should be close to one another.
