As a service technician who fixes robots - BPF doesn't do what he thinks he does. There is a major difference between service techs who handle minor breakdowns and follow LITERAL IKEA LIKE INSTRUCTIONS to build and disassemble robots, and service techs who handle major breakdowns, manage construction of those systems and oversee and train the lower tier service techs. What he says he does requires an engineering degree in either mechatronics, mechanics or electronics. What he actually does requires some kind of certificate IV/diploma in mechatronics.

Because we're such a mesh of everything, it is hard to find one common thing among all of us unless by common you mean that not everybody has this in common but most do. If we include every single American then I hope the English language. You probably can't even say school cause some kids probably never attended any sort of education ever, you'd probably find a crazy case like that.
The question should be "what SHOULD be common between all Americans?" Then we can provide many answers like Christianity, tradition, language, nationalism, white skin.

It helps to look at it in comparison to where they came from, England, and the rule of kings by birthright.
When the declaration of independence says "all men are created equal" that's more referring to the idea that no man is divinely appointed by God to be king, and that anyone can be president. Like Phanatic said, though, this was only referring to white people, for all the various historic justifications for racism that we already know about.
As for Jim Crow laws, that's just because it's still coming off the back of that long history.
So short answer: these people weren't just somehow ignoring a blatant contradiction, rather they viewed that imbalance in rights as justified, and ordained by god in some cases.

Destiny really doesn't put any thought into building up the working class. Saying just go to college is not a fix. If every person in the country went to college the problem wouldn't be fixed. There wouldn't be enough jobs for all of the graduates. Not everyone has the capability of going to college for financial reasons among others. His opinion is no different than the conservatives saying pull yourself up by your bootstraps. You can't say people don't try when the majority of people are on the poverty line in this country. Destiny’s counter was partly right, but he presented it really badly, especially when he mocked BPF. I’ve worked with Fanuc robots and you can teach them pretty easily. This is where BFP is sorta right; you just walk the bot through each step and hit save. Servicing machines is also teachable to someone with a HS degree and an on the job training cycle.
However, Destiny is right in that a robot properly implemented does the work of multiple people, and you need engineers to design them and often times fix them. Field engineering is a big sector. And BPF let servicing and teach robots go to his head and think he builds them. It’s like a Jiffy Lube tech saying he builds F150s

America was settled by mostly English settlers. Then slowly a small agreeable amount of immigrants mostly from Western Europe were allowed in. With heavy discrimination in order to keep the majority makeup of the country stable. Until the laws changed, allowing an ever increasing amount annually of different racial and ethnic groups.
