Thank you for teaching me this pattern.🙏 I followed along making it with a white yarn frame, and a Mandala ombré in bright ‘Easter egg’ colors. The brick ovals reminded me of Easter eggs sort of. That’s why I chose these color yarns. I do love your four color choices as well. Perhaps I can make another one!🤭
Thank you so much! I know the volume was low, but I’m using a mic for the newest videos, so hopefully that helps. I have a new blanket pattern/video coming out later today or tomorrow!😊
Oh goodness! Apparently they are discontinuing this yarn. I went on Amazon and they did not have Rose Hip. Then went to Yarnspirations and a new finer fleece is out. I really loathe when they change the yarn. I never worked with a chunky yarn and thought I'd give this a try. I will have to look for another yarn. But I do love how easy this pattern is. Thank you as I am new to crochet. My tension is awful. I'm making a temperature blanket @crochet with tiffany hansen here on YT and it is so wonky.😂😂Luckily, she will show us a nice border to straighten out the blanket. Whew.😮 Each month I learn a new stitch so it works for me. New sub!
Try the links I just added for each color of the forever fleece. The only one that isn’t available at that great price is chamomile, but they do have other links that are about twice the price. I hope you can find it! Chunky yarn is much easier to control. You could try Bernat Softee Chunky, it’s also nice.
What a beautiful stitch, and you made it very easy to follow. I have some thinner wool ( 3ply in Australia) and will try with a 4.5/5mm hook to see how that works, may have to use 2 balls together to get a nice blanket thickness.
Thank you! It will look amazing in a lighter weight yarn, I just love working with chunky yarn. 😊 Here’s a video on how to combine yarn to make it bulkier - ruclips.net/video/tieArIwQ9Vk/видео.htmlsi=bhjOt1OFJMNOo4-T
Excellent tutorial! Your explanations are clear, and you crochet at a speed that is easy to follow. I love this pattern! How much yarn do I need for an adult throw size blanket?
Thank you so much!! The yarn comes in a 2 pack, so I would get a 2 pack of each color and an extra of white, you’ll end up with some extra, but maybe a pillow to go with it? I’m working on a pattern for an even brick blanket, almost finished, and it’s about 45” wide by adding another 10 chains. A typical throw is 50” x 60”, but I tend to like mine a little smaller to fit a loveseat.

I’m so glad you like it! On row 4, the written directions say 2 sc at the end, total of 10(10 is correct), but it should just say 1 extra sc at the beginning and the end of the row. I hope that makes sense. Welcome!!!😊
Thank you so very much for sharing these beautiful tutorials and you make it so easy to follow along and I love it and thank you for teaching us how to make these beautiful blankets 💕💕💕 Love you and God Bless 😊
Thanks for sharing this beautiful pattern. I am making the pattern but using up all my scraps of yarn with every color imaginable! I am separating each brick with black! It is looking like stained glass and is quite nice!
Thank you! I’m pretty new at posting, but I have tons of projects in the works. Mostly with chunky yarn at the moment, because I love working with it, but most of my patterns are size adjustable, so if you use a lighter weight yarn, just adjust the width at the beginning 😊
Ingénieux et abordable! Ce point il est aussi très sympa pour faire un ouvrage avec plein de couleurs, quand on a acheté un peu de tout sans projet précis ou qu'on a plein de restes de laines.
Hello am Alicia I never saw that pattern before and I like the colors I think I mitt do it in Christmas colors as well my l but am differently going to make a blanket in those colors your right they look great together

I am making this! Just trying to think of colours. Your explanations are so clear. Just a little more volume in future videos please. Thank you very much.
Thank you for your feedback! I can’t edit the volume in this video, but I added a microphone in my most recent Finally Fall video. Would you mind checking the volume and giving me feedback on that? I really appreciate it!! I’m new at this 😊
Very beautiful Afghan! Your Afghan looks like fall leaves and I love it. One of these days I would like to try this pattern. Preferably when life isn't extremely busy. My aunt learned how to crochet by herself and taught five of us kids, boys included, how to crochet. I really don't know if my aunt knew how to read the crochet books or not. I don't remember her teaching us how to read the patterns. Just remember her showing us how to do a few different stitches. I think I knew how to do five stitches and that was it. If I watch somebody on a video I can completely follow along and do what they do but as for using a book and reading the patterns, I don't know how. So some of the initials you were using, I have no clue what they were. Like what is SP?
I’m so sorry, I usually put the abbreviations on the screen due to lack of space. Sp is space, like chain space. Let me know if there are others. I agree, I think it looks like leaves.😊
I just added the explanation for that abbreviation to my written pattern, which can be found in the link in the description (click on “more”) Thanks again for pointing it out😊
A pillow cover would be great! I used a 9mm hook, but an 8 or 10 would work, depending on how tight or loose you tend to make your stitches. Go to www.i-crochet.com to see the free written pattern. 😊
Just found your channel. So glad. Have subscribed and downloaded your crochet along. Going to look for the yarn here in the UK. If not will look for similar bulky yarn. Maybe Amazon UK. We have no babies in our family or friends but think it would make a nice afghan. Could you tell me the numbers for stitch repeat to make a bigger project please Lynne in London 😊
Hi Lynne and welcome!! Great questions. Mine is 35” wide, but you can chain multiples of 10 plus 2 more chains. I’m currently making another similar, but the bricks are lined up evenly (will be on my channel soon) and I chained 82 instead of 72 and it’s coming in at about 45” wide. I am using a 10mm hook instead of a 9mm for this. It’s the width of my loveseat. For length, I measured the completed blanket from this video and each brick plus borders on top and bottom, 2 rows of each, measure at about 4”. I hope that helps! I’m planning on making my current blanket about 45” x 60”. I’ll let you know how many rows of bricks it took. Thanks for subscribing!! 😊
This is a lovely pattern. I've never used this particular yarn. Can I ask how many balls of each yarn colour were used for blanket size you crocheted so I don't under order when I place the order from amazon. Thank you 🙏
Thank you so much!! The written pattern has an updated link in the description. I used almost 2 skeins of white, almost 1 skein each of rose hip, matcha and chamomile. Chamomile isn’t available at the really great price, but they do have links to other sources. There is a lavender shade that would look nice as well, but I don’t remember the name. 😊

A pillow cover would be great! I used a 9mm hook, but an 8 or 10 would work, depending on how tight or loose you tend to make your stitches. Go to www.i-crochet.com to see the free written pattern. 😊
End of Row 4 should be 9 sc plus 1 = 10 sc. Written Instruction says end with 2 sc.
Sorry that wasn’t clear, it does say 10 total. Thanks for the feedback.
