I love the colors I chose (vintage white, stormy green and terracotta rose) but I can also see it in holiday colors or team colors.
I used 3 skeins of the vintage white, 1 skein each of the stormy green and terracotta rose.

    Is this yarn the chunky really soft kind? If so you make it looks so easy to crochet with. I sometimes have a hard time with certain softer or funny types of yarn. But i love it so much. I cant use the feather kind at all i wish tho😊

      @@MsLori1973 Yes, the Bernat Forever Fleece is the softest!! It doesn’t split. It’s easy to work with and I love the colors. They have increased their price, so I’m not happy about that, but I’ll still keep using it. I’m not crazy about the lighter weight yarns because they’re harder to work with and take longer to make anything. I am using a 4 weight right now to make a Christmas tree skirt. I started over got me a 9 hook cux i think i crochet too tight still. I stared iver n now i can do it way better. But i think im gonna do these carpets until i get used to it and then try again on the sweater. And maybe ill add the x stitch too. I kinda like that one. Im not good at the keeping the endges straight, so im gonna rewatch this again cuz id teally like mine to look as straight as yours n not have a curl either. Lol thanks hun i appreciate it 😊😊 ya know i never crocheted u til i was in my late 20s or 30s hahaha im 50 now ans im picking it up again. I miss it n it mskes me happy. @@MsLori1973 Hi! It’s the bean stitch. I love how it zig zags. I just made a pattern for a mini bean stitch blanket. It takes less yarn but still looks like a bean stitch. When I crochet (not when I’m making a video) I sit back on the couch with my feet up and keep my elbows close to my side to keep my arms and shoulders from hurting. When I make videos, I have to crochet at my desk. That’s hard on my back, but it’s only for a short time. I use this rug daily and it washes up nicely. I was afraid the backing would come off, but it’s nice and secure. 🧶

I love my dog but he diesnt leave me alone for 2 mins its like having a 2 yr old or 3 yr old crazy 2s. But i wanna leaen n i get so frustrated. I gotta rewind so many times make sure i got the stitch right n i get frustrated l. I learn feom seeing not reading. So its harder for me. Always been that way. This blanket is so so beautiful. Thank you n btw your thumbs i have lines n indents on min3 n my toes. I dont know what they are. I used ro day my dad smadhed my hands in the car doors too many times. But how would my feet get up there? Lmao 😂 i used ro be embarrassed they are paper rhin so i gotta be carful buffling them when i used ro go get them done at the salon...i even had planters warts on both sides of my thumbs as a kid. It was in my blood they said n i tried everything to get rid of them. One day i sat down with an ashtray rubbing nailpolish remover pluckers twpe bandages and ear cleaners. I would soak them over night with these wart removers tape them.up n come morning after my coffee or tea id pluck all the dead off. Until i could see these red roots. I plucked one by one n they bleed like a stuck pig. But i twped them uo n did it again. Before i did this i woukd oaint my nails n remove the polish. Dont ssk me why but i did. They began to get smaller some were gone eithin a day or 2 n my mom almost fell over. All my life i tried everything. I was 14 starting high school and they were finally all gone. I was so afraid ppl would see rhem. I could finally get w job too. I worked in wll the restaurants n i was proud. Well growing up i met wll kinda appl and some had the same thing or soemthing different l. But ya know i never even noticed. Ya just do t notice. My duaghter has a lazy eye and yw dont even notice it. I didnt until you mentioned it. I think you have beautiful hands and i do t notice snything im paying attention to you. If anything you look like you have soft thimbs n finger and hands and thats nice to have. So dont even give it another thought. Those who have a uniqueness abou them some way or another are alwaye truly the most beautiful ppl inside n out, and that makes us digfernt than the rest in a very special way. Update: I washed and dried this cardigan and it came out great! Even softer and no wrinkles! Just remember when you wash and dry crocheted items to keep them separate from anything with hooks, Velcro or zippers and dry them on a gentle cycle, low to medium heat.

      @@I-crochet Good morning! We’ve wanted a big, wool blanket forever to get us through a Wisconsin winter, so I am making this with a 5 weight yarn (Lion Brand’s Hue +Me). It’s going to be a yarn eater so I am using up my stash of Salt, Shadow and Whisper colors - off white, greige and brown. Your waffle stitch pattern is perfect with this wool/acrylic blend. It’s really a lot of fun now that a few rows are completed 👍🏻

    If you don’t want to use that thick of yarn, how many should you chain for your blanket?

    • @I-crochet
      @I-crochet 2 месяца назад

      @@patanderson7136 I’m sorry, I haven’t tried it with a lighter weight yarn. Make one chain about an inch longer than the blanket, weave it through and it should lay flat with just the tail ends hanging over a little. I just had to keep trying until I got it right and then I made all the other chains the same length. Good luck!! What colors are you using?

    • @ladykathall
      @ladykathall 2 месяца назад

      You need to chain an even number to get your mesh to work out. Chain whatever length works for you. I did 224 with a 4weight yarn and 6.5mm hook it looks about twin width or a good Throw size.

    I’ve actually started this blanket; have received the white and am waiting on my other two colors. So, while waiting, I thought I’d do the required number of white chains but I cannot locate anywhere in the transcript where you mention the number of chains needed for the completed blanket. Is there a recommended number of chains? Or did you just make the first chain to fit the need once the filet portion was complete and then count the number and replicate that for the balance of the chains needed? (Gosh, I hope my question makes sense-it’s a bit convoluted).

    • @debbieedwards9508
      @debbieedwards9508 3 месяца назад

      Ah, I just remembered you gave the dimensions of the completed blanket so I can use that as my guide…I do like a definite # of chains, though; so if you have a number to share that would be awesome. Thank you for sharing this pattern-am so excited to get one made for each of my sons for Christmas!

      @@debbieedwards9508 Around 16 minutes, 142 chains worked for me. Maybe a little more or less depending on how loose your chains are. It’s also on the written pattern i-crochet.com/crochet-a-modern-farmhouse-plaid/ Make 20 of each color, 5 for each block, 4 blocks total. I hope that helps! 😊 Let me know how it goes!

      @@carolynmills513 Thank you for your feedback! Weaving in ends is time consuming, but pretty easy with this type of yarn. I’m always learning new techniques and try to keep my patterns as easy as possible. If you don’t want to weave in the chain ends, you can work them in under the first border row.
