- I love the waffle stitch and it’s perfect for my “Bring on Spring!”blanket made with Bernat Forever Fleece Finest 4 weight yarn.
I used about 3 1/2 (not 4 1/2 like I said in the video) skeins and a 5mm hook.
I also used some Red Heart Soft in white for part of the border and a 4mm hook.
I wanted a lighter weight blanket in a soft color to change things up for spring and summer decor.
How do you like it?

I mistakenly said it took 4 1/3 skeins, but it is 3 1/3 (not quite) skeins.
Great pattern! I started this waffle stitch blanket and think I’ll do your border idea. New subscriber…love your tutorial. Thank you !
@@janelange2368 I’m so glad you like it, thank you!! I gave this one to my daughter-in-law and she loves it. It’s holding up very well with daily use. What color are you using?
@@janelange2368 Thank you for subscribing! I have a couple of new patterns I’m working on right now and they should be out soon. Check out my other videos when you have a chance! 😊🧶
@@I-crochet Good morning! We’ve wanted a big, wool blanket forever to get us through a Wisconsin winter, so I am making this with a 5 weight yarn (Lion Brand’s Hue +Me). It’s going to be a yarn eater so I am using up my stash of Salt, Shadow and Whisper colors - off white, greige and brown. Your waffle stitch pattern is perfect with this wool/acrylic blend. It’s really a lot of fun now that a few rows are completed 👍🏻
@@I-crochet Great to know! I plan on taking some of this rainy day to crochet and will add binge watching your patterns. So happy I found your channel!
@@janelange2368 That’s going to be so gorgeous!! It is a yarn eater, but worth it because it will last a long time. Have fun!
