Crochet a Long Wave Infusion Cardigan (PERFECT for IV infusions, Chemo, Lab Work…stay WARM!)

I made this sweater for my daughter-in-law who requires weekly IV infusions. She gets very cold during the infusions. I did get her a hoodie that zips at the sleeve seam, but I felt a sweater would be cozier (and cuter!)
You can make the sweater without the sleeve openings by simply sewing the seam closed.
Becca also likes cuffs with a thumb hole so she can hold her hand warmers, which is great during infusions or other cold events. The sleeves with a cuff are a balloon style. You’ll need to go to my website to get the instructions for making the cuffs. All my patterns are free and there are no ads on my website.
The cuffs are optional as the sleeves have a finished edge.

I used Lion Brand Heartland 4 weight yarn in:
Petrified Forest: about 4 1/2 skeins (for a size 2X) amzn.to/3Oz7N7g

Yosemite : about 3 1/2 skeins amzn.to/481zOuU
I did include average measurements for sizes XS-5X, however I don’t have the yarn amounts for sizes other than 2X.

Thank you! You can do this with any pattern, I just thought the waves made it easy to hide the buttons. Becca wore it at Mayo Clinic last week and she said it was perfect. It was also a hit with the nurses!😊 Thinking good thoughts for you!❤️🧶

You can make this sweater with/without cuffs and with/without sleeve openings for IV infusions or lab work so you don’t have to take off your sweater. I enjoy feedback!😊❤
