I started reading Bradshaw in 1991, watched all the PBS series. He gave me sanity by helping me understand my family's dynamics, I believe he saved my life. For me, I had to understand what made me who I am. 30 + years later, I am very happy, despite severe health issues. Thank you, John Bradshaw.
I just found his series and books now. I feel so grateful. Nothing has made more sense to me in my entire life.

I watched it when it was broadcasted on PBS for the first time . As I was going through channels on TV, I got stocked to PBS and just the first minute of watching him then could not stop watching. He saved my life and proved to me how good I am and all the problems I have is not my fault, but from physical abuse I had in my childhood.

I saw John Bradshaw in Santa Barbara many years ago I was already la therapist I was amazed at the truths he came from about the dysfunctional family I then bought his books of his and brought the information first into my own life and then my clients His work is still pertinent today I am grateful for him

Most of life I have been told that I am a "nice guy". Well those whom are introduced to me are unaware that I am just merely respecting them like any human should be.
I cant believe this was on TV when I was a kid. I really wish my parents had seen this. It blows my mind that this was on TV back then. Why do I feel like this would never be on TV today? And have we made any progress in 30 years on any of these topics? Some of the audience shots show people looking really uncomfortable with what he's saying.
He was HUGE in the 80’s and his books popular. Somehow his message has been side barred. Glad to see this on YT. LIFE CHANGING INFORMATION!
I was lucky to watch this when I was a teenager in the early 90's. Though the language has evolved a bit since, it is still spot on! So happy to have access to this! Thank you!
My favourite person. Came across his resources on Amazon in 2020 while I was studying in India , being frustrated, alone and struggling. There is something liberating in his voice, that I sensed immediately after resorting to RUclips by that time itself ❤️.

I understand and appreciate what you say . Infact much of what you are sharing, I had also arrived at the same analyses in bits and pieces over my life of 72 years .
But where the confusion arises is when there isn’t an unambiguous patriarchal structure. Where there is a mix of patriarchy and bits of genuine warmth. It confused the hell out of me, and am still in the throes of it .
Extremely challenging to get out of it . But how much ever one does is a blessing !

I watched it when it was broadcasted on PBS in 1987 . there are as I remember 10 or maybe more parts, but there are other series he did, "The home coming" with meditations he did are excellent.
