I wish he wasn’t so angry when giving message. Although its a good message.
Johns genius is needed worldwide. What a brilliant gifted ;gift" to the planet and humankind!
I have just revisited this guru. Again I am gobsmacked by Johns genius. I do believe his lectures , even though dated; should be shown and become part of a school cirriculum
Brilliant genius. one of the BEST lecture I have ever had the honor to hear.. end of
Such a great speaker, I'm glad it was recorded
This is so under rated. If it was a ted talk, there would be millions of views.
I believe it was a 7 part series originally, superb through and through ❤
This talk is like a gulp of fresh air
He is amazing!! This should be mandatory for parenting.
Both you and Gabor Mate have a pnenominal ability to speak the TRUTH. Lets start healing instead of spending our energy in shame👍 IT ALL NEEDS TO COME OUT OR WE WILL HAVE MORE MENTAL AND PHYSICAL ILLNESS. ❤️❤️
He certainly drops names.....the tiny mad idea made his research void
Superb.
These questions remind me of Jiddu Krishnamurti ❤
I watched it when it was broadcasted on PBS for the first time . As I was going through channels on TV, I got stocked to PBS and just the first minute of watching him then could not stop watching. He saved my life and proved to me how good I am and all the problems I have is not my fault, but from physical abuse I had in my childhood.
The title says this is Part 1. Is there another part that’s available to watch please? Any assistance is appreciated. Thank you.
I watched it when it was broadcasted on PBS in 1987 . there are as I remember 10 or maybe more parts, but there are other series he did, "The home coming" with meditations he did are excellent.

I posted a link. There are ten parts. The first video in that series is cut short. The video above is complete.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is one of the best and most important RUclips videos of all time. Esp at 35:00 mark.
The main point at this mark. The need to express and share our traumas and other adverse experiences. Well done sir! 35:00
What is the poem he is referencing? it went something like this: There are places in the heart yet unkown, pain must be in order that they be. I was curious to find it and read the whole thing.
I saw John Bradshaw in Santa Barbara many years ago I was already la therapist I was amazed at the truths he came from about the dysfunctional family I then bought his books of his and brought the information first into my own life and then my clients His work is still pertinent today I am grateful for him
I understand and appreciate what you say . Infact much of what you are sharing, I had also arrived at the same analyses in bits and pieces over my life of 72 years . But where the confusion arises is when there isn’t an unambiguous patriarchal structure. Where there is a mix of patriarchy and bits of genuine warmth. It confused the hell out of me, and am still in the throes of it . Extremely challenging to get out of it . But how much ever one does is a blessing ! Thankyou for your input Sir !
Thnx for uploading this series from John Bradshaw!
This is great
I cant believe this was on TV when I was a kid. I really wish my parents had seen this. It blows my mind that this was on TV back then. Why do I feel like this would never be on TV today? And have we made any progress in 30 years on any of these topics? Some of the audience shots show people looking really uncomfortable with what he's saying.
He was HUGE in the 80’s and his books popular. Somehow his message has been side barred. Glad to see this on YT. LIFE CHANGING INFORMATION!
Man, this was exactly the series I needed to hear this week. We were lucky to have John Bradshaw in this world, speaking so openly and eloquently to help guide us toward a better tomorrow. May we all be blessed.
Thanks for sharing 🙏❤️ 9:00 13:15 14:35
I started reading Bradshaw in 1991, watched all the PBS series. He gave me sanity by helping me understand my family's dynamics, I believe he saved my life. For me, I had to understand what made me who I am. 30 + years later, I am very happy, despite severe health issues. Thank you, John Bradshaw.
I just found his series and books now. I feel so grateful. Nothing has made more sense to me in my entire life.
Thank you for saying this. I will pursue those resources
I will live for eternity until the last person has seen my picture or spoke my name.
Life is not about what you take. It's about what you leave behind.
12:30 People are too distracted with getting their emotional needs met.
Blue Bell is my favorite brand of ice cream 🍦 😋
Euphoric!
My favourite person. Came across his resources on Amazon in 2020 while I was studying in India , being frustrated, alone and struggling. There is something liberating in his voice, that I sensed immediately after resorting to RUclips by that time itself ❤️.
Did it helped?
Sometimes your ahead sometimes your behind. The race is long and in the end it was only with yourself...
Most of life I have been told that I am a "nice guy". Well those whom are introduced to me are unaware that I am just merely respecting them like any human should be.
What charisma John had. I love listening to him talk.
I have gone to look for myself. If I should show up before I return hold on to me.
Those who stand still. Will forever miss the future.
We can't control what happens to us. But we can control how we react.
26:00 Within my 50 yrs of Life. I have come to not tolerate living in someone's life.
18:50 The parents are too distracted with getting their needs emotional needs met. To be concerned with the emotional needs of the child.
15:00 He would be showing a lack of confidence that he won't be accepted by his Peers.
13:00 That parent doesn't respect themselves. Thus they won't respect others.
You can never control what happens to you. But you can control how you react.
I can accept failure. But I can't accept not trying. - Michael Jordan
Those whom stand still. Will forever miss the future.
Most people view life from their own bias perspective.
Since man has been on the Planet. There has always been a Shame Based Childhood. 😕
