This movie in the beginning truly emphasizes Robocop's a machine. The woman is running up to him in tears and he gives her the most robot response lol -- it's truly a masterclass how each scene little by little he regains his humanity back.
Originally, this scene was meant to have Robocop shooting at the rapist's head, missing the woman by mere centimeters. This was also to emphasize Robo's aiming precision. However, director Paul Verhoeven noticed that the stunt-woman playing the victim tended to spread her legs while trying to free herself from the actor playing the rapist. Verhoeven thus changed the script, and the result is one of the most satisfying scenes in movie history....
