At first, I thought curved displays were cool and all. But now that Samsung is ditching them, starting with the Galaxy S24, I don't really care either way. I just want the least expensive phone that can do most of the things I can do with my current phone(Galaxy S23 Ultra), both for personal and work use.
The chip of the Pixel 8 Pro is a big downside for me. Heating up and getting what feels like a 1-2 year old chip. For that price, I'd expect better. Pixel photos are amazing but I personally prefer One UI and it's feature packed software. Despite that, I wanted to try something new (used a Note 10+ before this) and I came so close to picking up the new pixel this year. It was priced more than the S23 Ultra where I live and I absolutely didn't see it worth paying more than an S23 Ultra for.
Like with the iPhone 15 Pros there were some initial heating issues but both sorted these with software updates and heat is no longer a problem. I do not game on my phone though.
@@andyH_EnglandThermal problems are there in heavy gaming for sure with the Pixel 8, but it isn't sold as a gaming device. The Pixel 7 series had noticeably worse thermal control than the 8, so Google are going in the right direction. In every way to be fair.
10:15 Tensor G3 didn’t nail it at all, they just optimized on the G2 for Pixel 8/8Pro. Imagine how much snappier Pixels could've been with even SD 8Gen2-level optimisation and performance!
My issue with pixel is their build quality. First there was the defective fingerprint scanner on my pixel 6. Then on my pixel 7 pro my camera lens cracked out of nowhere. The glass covering it was fine but the lens itself cracked. Then the volume button fell out. Then I got a replacement and the screen died! And forget about getting it fixed, nobody repairs pixels (at least in my area) the only option is getting a replacement phone. I went to samsung and I can honestly say the only thing I miss from Google is the earth wallpaper that has live satellite weather.
I was ready for a new phone and got the cheapest new phone on Black Friday which was the Pixel 8 Pro. I will always prefer Android, and so far I love it.

Not true. Battery optimisation with the Chipset is still a huge hardware improvement comparing tensor and snap it's not close. Hardware optimization is still a huge factor
@@blakeolson2036 it just shows you have no idea what you're talking about. The power and the battery optimization isn't the issue. The only issue with tensor is this read. Write speed is really slow. So that's what takes everything so much time on the tensor. But in reality, 100% of the things we're doing on the phone takes no time at all, so it really doesn't even matter what you're talking about! Because the phone itself is vastly more powerful than what most people even use it for. And I only know this because I put this phone through everything and it does everything just as fast as a s24 ultra and an iPhone 15 pro Max. It's just hilarious that you people still try to say that it doesn't which shows that y'all don't even use pixels! And again, it's always you bots with fake profile pictures lmfao!
I had the Pixel 6 pro, 7 Pro, and 8 Pro and there was always something wrong with them. And the battery life hasn't changed. I had the 8 Pro recently and while I love the size, the clarity of the screen and the snappy software. The battery life still sucks and the connectivity is even worse. I was constantly seeing my Wi-Fi switching to 5G and then back to Wi-Fi and it would say "Excellent" for signal strength but also have "!" along with it. Restarted the phones Internet, restarted my router and nothing helped. Google customer support said it's a device issue. Returned it, got another one, started having the same issue! My Pixel 5a never had this issue! But then again ... My Pixel 5a has a mid range Snapdragon chip in it. Google should have never gone away from Snapdragon. Cuz I honestly think that Tensor chip is the issue!
Just bought the Pixel 8 Pro and I have to return it. Microphone issue. Really disappointed because I liked the phone. Going to go back to Samsung. Picking up the S23+ as I don't like the sharp edges with the Ultra.
@@JB-1184 I noticed that too when I had it. Some apps were consuming so much power in the background. Even if you have them set to restricted. The standby battery drain in the Pixel 8 series is terrible.
I switched from the S24 Ultra to the Pixel 8 Pro and honestly I haven't looked back. I like the Pixel software so much more than One UI. I know the Tensor G3 isn't the latest and greatest but it actually works pretty good for me. Picked up the Pixel Watch 2 and the Pixel Buds Pro as well and the software on the Pixel Watch 2 seems smoother than my Galaxy Watch 6 Classic and I like the Pixel Buds Pro sound better than my Galaxy Buds 2 Pro in my opinion. That being said can't deny the Samsung hardware is stellar! But the Pixel software does it for me.
Had Samsungs for years and always tried a pixel and finally keeping it. Battery is as good now, and love no more bloatware like Samsung. Love the flat screen
I still miss the ability to adjust exposure and shadows right from the Google camera viewfinder. Instead, now they tuck it away under some separate mode, making the Pixel the only flagship phone without viewfinder exposure control by default. I don't have problems with teal, but my pixel does tend to make yellow, white..esp yellow LEDs like the McDonalds' sign..
I genuinely was not aware the the Pixel does not have exposure control in the viewfinder. I have been contemplating buying one, but this is a potential deal breaker. Thanks for the shout out. 👍
@pa-dn1vhwhile they are issues with the Pixel Line Up, I do think that people who live in cities will not have problems with the modem. The battery life is alright, nothing crazy but not bad as well.
@pa-dn1vh For real .. battery life and signal strength should be tested first before anything. Camera is subjective and most flagship cameras are great anyway and practically the same for the past 4 generations.
@pa-dn1vhthat's why Wifi Calling exists. My point still stands, if you live in a city, you either have cellular or wifi and are always available. The modem is not good, but enough for someone in a city. I mean I'm currently on a Pixel 6a with a worse modem compared to the 7. It happened sometimes, but not enough for me to switch.
@@hienho15not really. There were a lot of flagships (especially from Chinese companies) in the last years that had trash cameras. Besides you can say that it's also kind of objective when a lot of people agree on one being better. Tests done by MKBHD about cameras always had Pixels at the top. DMOmark is a ranking company and there the Pixel 8 is currently number 1 (tested on color reproduction etc, things that are not subjective).
Its good to have options now, between samsung, google and oneplus. I will always prefer samsung due to the great quality of the phones, especially my S23 ultra, but that pixel 8 pro looks GOOD!! Also id love to try out the oneplus fold phone!
I currently have a P6P. Prior to that I had a Pixel & before that a Samsung Galaxy. 2 days ago I dropped my phone, not hard, but the screen cracked in 2 places; so far it's still usable but I'm sure that won't last. Being it's a Pixel, that means I need to get a new phone. It's the same reason I got the 2nd Pixel, the 1st one's screen broke. In your video you mention you're more worried about the Samsung breaking. My understanding is that a Samsung screen can actually be replaced whereas a Pixel's cannot, because it's not a separate piece (the entire body is made at once). Am I correct in this? If so, I'm leaning towards going back to a Samsung. I like my Pixel, it's been easy to use. I'm a pretty "basic" phone user in that I don't take fancy pictures, I don't watch movies or play animated games on my phone ( Words w/ Friends, Wordle, Jigsawscapes are about the extent for me). I text, call, check my email accounts, do my banking, vote on The Voie and AGT. Pretty basic. I'm not a clutz but I do drop my phone every now & then; doesn't everyone? What phone would you recommend for me now? I am NOT willing (able) to pay for the best of any brand.
Despite the banger processer the s23 ultra is not as smooth as the pixel. They just cant do it for whatever reason. Let it lay awhile and after the pickup it will always stutter. OneUi6 December Update here. Camera wise yeah... P8Pro is way more reliable for me.
Had my 6P for a year and a few months (probably two years) and this thing over heats so bad I can cook food (hottest it has gotten is 130F) and the battery life is so poor
13:33... Uhh. I really relate to the people who, "want to measure the temperature of... things." I don't have any application for this in my life. I just like the idea of measuring the temperature of the wall occasionally.
Hi 😊 Do you use the HDR Ultra settings on or off what's your thoughts please, also the colour enhance? Not sure whether to leave on or off, HDR Ultra seems to make the sky too bright and glary looking but does little to brighten the pic overall. 8 Pro Max. Thanks ❤

I moved from the s23u to the 8 pro, first time ive actually wanted to use a Pixel. Ive gotta say the experience has been overall pretty positive and I do enjoy the camera a lot. I am however going back to my s23u and then likely to the s24u on release. I just feel Samsung offers more as a package, for what I like anyway. Customisation is amazing on Samsung, especially with good lock and also the 8 Gen 2 I found gave me better performance (pixel doesn't lag, just one example is I edit a lot of photos on my phone and the 8 Gen 2 is much quicker at dealing with these on Lightroom etc). I also prefer the screen of the Ultra and the battery life was quite a bit better. But ye, ive enjoyed the 8 pro, just isn't enough for me to keep using it long term.
@pa-dn1vh ye that's a shame man. I've had no hardware issues. But I've experiences some software bugs, things like my home screen layout disappearing for a second or two when coming back to the home screen or an app not opening on the first attempt. Never had any issues with my s23U so I'm looking forward to going back to it
@pa-dn1vh ye it's crazy that the s23U came out a year ago nearly and I don't think anything has beaten it overall in my opinion. The s24 ultra is gonna take it up a level too, can't wait for it.
I was on the same boat! I have an S23 ultra and got the pixel 8 Pro to try out and I went back to the S23 ultra within two days. Pixel 8 pro is great but the chip is a massive L as everything takes forever to load, especially editing on the photos app. And also Samsung offers an insane amount of customization options that Google don't. I can only imagine what the S24 ultra will be like because so far nothing can beat the S23 ultra overall. I do gotta say the pixel 8 pro's video boost is awesome.
I was pixel fan in the early days, I skipped 6, got the 7pro (which I still have) Like the UI. My S23 ultra blows the hell out of it. 7pro feels cheap compared, camera is great, but so is S23U. I got the iPhone 15 pro max, returned it. S23U beats it still.. of course just my opinion and for my use.
Have nothing the Pixel 8 pro and iPhone 15 pro max. Can make it all day with IPhone. On P8P I make it a little over half a day doing the exact same thing
I’ve got the s23 ultra looking at it now about to return it. It’s just like a slab and feels clunky. The software doesn’t seem smooth. I’m not into cameras what would you suggest?
id suggest iphone!!! samsung uses inferior processors if your not in the US...only the US gets the snapdragon chips...others get the crappy exynos crap!!! plus their batteries swell up even forcing the phone case to open up!!! i wouldnt have that even near my house!!!
My Pixel 8 Pro also have the color shift issue. My bedroom has very warm lights and the walls should have a slight yellowish tint. But the 8 Pro just completely changes the wall to a grey, white and cool tone. It also depends on the distance. If I move closer to the wall, it will color shift but if I am farther away, it looks true to life
This is the problem I'm facing and it's making me think if I want to return and wait for the 24 Ultra. A lot of my photos come out very blue/white and washed out and my room is warm as well, it doesn't make sense. I love the software so much but this color shift problem is annoying me
Using both, I still prefer my S23U due to the better integration it has with with devices (Windows and other Samsung devices), shared clipboard, better gallery app, better files app, Samsung Calendar is more useful, Samsung Health is more pleasant to use than fitbit (plus no additional cost). I feel Google is not putting enough in to sway other Android users to switch to Pixel. In terms of AI, Google need to work on the fundamentals first of making this a smartphone for all users, not just for the US. Even here in the UK, the Pixel I feel isn't good enough, and their ecosystem of devices needs to improve, massively.
I have both and am glad I do not have to make a choice, but if I did then the Pixel would nudge it as I use a lot of the AI especially dictation, & recorder.
I had both, and returned my Pixel8P because it got hot, battery was OK. But my biggest problem was that I had to click on airplane mode one or twice a day because o would hey (!) On my signal bar.
I had the Pixel 7 Pro and it felt extremely stupid going to study abroad in Japan and randomly losing features. Especially because Pixel’s are the 2nd most popular choice after iPhones in Japan now in 2023 (crazy, you see them EVERYWHERE). So I agree they really need to work on getting stuff to work for the world not just the US. At least make stuff work in the markets Pixels are sold smh.
MY 2023 list : 1. Huawei mate x5 foldable 1 tb simply brilliant 2. My glorious incredible Samsung s23 ultra 3. ONE PLUS OPEN 4. XIAOMI MIX FOLD 3 5. PIXEL 8 PRO 6. Iphone 15 pro max 1 tb Too many limitations with the iphone . I started with the iphone Years ago . I first transitioned with the samsung s10 plus and then now my s23 Ultra and next year z fold 6. The s pen gestures and utilization of camera from a distance , multi tasking, 10 x zoom , samsung dex and flow , Nintendo emulators of super smash bros ans Mario oddyseey, astrophotography of constellations, better photo editing, customization of theme and keyboard, copy and paste clipboard, better AI capabilities, things like micro sd card, music ring tone customization, how you can download anything from anywhere at anytime , foldable innovation etc . Thats why Samsung , Huawei, Xiaomi and Google Pixel 8 pro are superior to the iPhone. The iPhone is based on simplicity which is good for infants and the elderly but for me IOS is too boring and ill never find an e sim by force to go back to it.
I love a review with an honest pick from the creator instead of just said "it depends on you both options are great", I have the piel 8 pro and agree to all except for screen bright, is something I really love and can notice the difference. Another cool feature is video boost, the difference for night video between raw vs boosted is just mind blowing
Went from Samsung to Pixel 7 pro. I like the software better but the touch screen freezes pretty regularly, making it unusable for a couple of minutes at a time. I'm going back to Samsung for the next phone.
Hi all! I need a new phone and I have a question (you might even want to make an article for your website about): I'd love to get the Samsung S23 Ultra (because of the S-Pen)..but I really don't want to miss out on all the awesome stuff only the Google Pixel series gets. What do you think? What would I miss if I got the Samsung device? Maybe Google AI features only the Pixel devices get? Would love to receive a reply :-) Werner from Austria
If you never owned a pixel, then there wont be a problem for you to miss something, but if you want an experience close to google’s ai, get the S24 ultra, it has similar ai stuff, but no all of them.
Felt the same way. Been a pixel user since the pixel 2. The pixel 6 and 7 pro honestly erked me with their terrible battery life and overheating issues to the point I made the switch to the s23 ultra. It far and away is the better phone, better battery life, better display, faster speeds with no hiccups. But even after a few months of using it I felt I was still missing the pixel due to software. Waited for the Black Friday deals but sure enough I'm back to a pixel 8 pro. Still gets warm, still not as good battery life or processor speed, but fits my day to day. Have noticed some weird camera stuff too but mostly with the selfie camera. It's been happening since the 6 pro but inside selfies always look terrible. I always look like I'm sick. Not sure if anyone else notices that.
This was me last year. Got my pixel 7. Liked it ALOT untill it was time to video chat with family. Phone constantly heated up. And Then summer of 23 came. My phone was always hot! And the glass back made it Annoying to hold or place on a surface without fearing it would slip off. And I hated how long it took to charge. And I ALSO missed having specific time/location based DND/work/play/exercise modes like on iOS and Samsung. Then I got the s23+. I've always hated Samsung since the touch wiz days. For the obvious reasons....but I was REALLY impressed with one UI 5. And I like One UI 6....and I love how fast it charges.but honestly I've been a Nexus/pixel fan for as long I've had a smartphone. And I really would like to come back to pixel. One UI is great...but it's not naked android and I miss that.
The truth is the S23 lineup is far more superior when it comes to processing speed and everything else, but the software. The Pixel lineup would've been if Google had stuck with Snapdragon processors instead. Their slow like a $60 budget phone.
The only thing that keeps me in the Apple ecosystem is my Apple Watch Ultra, which I truly love. It’s a great watch. I would love it if Google made a pixel watch that was like an ultra that would be very cool.
I Just Switched from the iphone 14 Pro and applewatch and got the S 23 ultra and the watch 6 Classic and the watch is better overall and the battery is better in that I Can wear It Overnight without having to worry about it dying that and the apps don't freeze up.
I once had an unknown number call me and I screened it, and it was a _bounty hunter_ looking for someone who had skipped bail (called the wrong number) and the reaction to getting the AI was *hilarious* "WTH is this bull, how am I supposed to do my dam job with this kinda thing" Had me absolutely rolling 🤣
Hey guys, id need some advice over here. Currently i have a note 10+, have had it for 4 yrs and its been annoying recently as of the phone getting slower. I have till monday to choose a phone which can vary from: s23 fe to pixel 7-8pro. Help me please as i have been not able to choose these last few days and, times running out.
the s23FE hands down loses it against the 8 pro, even 7 pro prob gonna do its job in terms of camera at least, & depends where u live u might get the Exynos chip in the S23FE instead of the Snapdragon. (its not a bad thing since Pixel are modified Exynos chips too but for the same price having massive performance differences selling Exynos & SD is kinda scummy - also heard they get way hotter and throttle more compared to the modified Pixel ones - but cant confirm) If u care about updates the Pixel 8 lineup offers way longer feature & secruity updates than the S23FE. so if u are a long term user that takes care about ur phone and keep them usually for a long term its worth (also repairability is "easier" on the pixel) Technically speaking from Hardware: the Pixel 8 (non pro) is "higher or has about the same" spec than the S23FE (but smaller) - the pixel 8 non pro has no tele lens tho but idk if the 8mp in the samsung makes even sense. Same thing with the Pixel 8 wifi 7 capabilities - its there but nobody used it yet. S23 Ultra vs P8 pro on other hands depends on what u gonna like more i guess - Hardware S23Ultra its better, Software prob Pixel a bit better in terms of features & upcoming features
@@marcinchyla9355 prob pixel or the new early 2025 lineup of phones -> they will prob be on the same level if not better. in the end it comes down to the user what they want obv. & also careful decide where u live. Google is good if ur living in America - any other country they somehow still dont care about customer or delay features if u care for those however they still advertise those. - like in the recent Pixel 9 & still 8 - not all AI features are available if ur in the EU for example.
In reality the Samsung it's better then the pixel but to think that pixel it's catching up I give pixel 2 to 3 more years to be in the same league and I mean as equal and that's only because he is improving his hardware
I thought S23 camera was the better...but after comparing photos with my sisters Pixel....I'd have to side with Pixel. But good thing we can get Gcam for the S23
All those people who are commenting how they are happy with their Pixel , just give it a few months and the Battery Life and performance will hit a new low. This is coming from a Pixel user. I wish Pixel had TSMC make their TENSOR chip instead of Samsung Exynos which totally ruined the processor.
I just can't stand how "stiff" one ui's animations feel, having used a friends s23 and having owned an s20fe for 3 years. Google and Apple's animations feel smooth to me, espicially the aod -> lockscreen one. That alone makes me choose pixels
I have the Pixel 7 Unlocked Edition - "Adaptive Battery" setting turned on - "Standard Battery Saver" setting turned on - No issues said in video or been reported, smooth since day one - Battery lasts 6 to 10 hours average on screen time, moderate to heavy use Best phone $500 spent 💯
Always appreciate you stating your choice at the end of videos, instead of the usual RUclips cop-out of "well... it's a matter of your personal preference".
Hi Jon, as always I enjoyed watching this video. You've made a mistake while describing about the chipsets in 09:52 while talking about the pixel. You said "the pixel 3 has their own Tensor G3"...😅
I can't handle bloat, I simply loath it which makes Samsung a non-starter for me. I'm fine with Apple vs Android but Samsung trying to gain market share with redundant apps is just silly to me.
I’ve been thinking a lot about this. I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max and I’m truly bored. It’s the same thing as the iPhone 13 Pro Max. It’s the same thing as the iPhone X basically and I think I’m really looking for a phone that’s intelligent that’s smart they can solve problems they can save time and I think this is where phones are going and I think that the pixel eight Pro, is that phone?
It really really depends on your use case. I have an S23 Ultra and an iPhone 13 Pro Max. I switch back and forth, but after the novelty of the Samsung goes away, I miss things like iMessage, Facetime, and other features. I love my androids, and always keep one from a recent generation, but the gimmicks get old for me.
@@gcforrealI know plenty of iPhones users that made the switch. Some came back and some didn't. It all depends on personal preference. After two months, I went back to being the green chart bubble, happily.
No No bro!.. All it's AI 'magic' has to happen off device as it's chipset isn't good enough to do these things on device. Your IPhone is so much faster and powerful than any Pixel 8 Pro. The Pixel flatters to deceive. It takes superb photos though to be fair. On every other level though you will be buying an inferior device that you will SOON grow bored of and frustrated with..
It's not as bad as these comments I made the switch after using iPhone since the 4s up to the 14 pro max. I went pixel and haven't regretted. It those little features and ai that makes the experience great. I do miss the apple watch though can't lie. Plus apple will integrate RCS chat next year to make it easier to text between android and iPhone
Bought my S23 recently and I just wanted to say despite how great this phone is, I wished I wasn't locked into Samsung's ecosystem. I think the regular Pixel 8 just looks better in terms of design and there's just something about their software that makes it so simple to use and appealing.
@@srortiz87 That's what I'm talking about! If only I hadn't already spent so much on the ecosystem, Google seems to provide a better all-round package that's more reliable, easier to use and more stylish.
I'm fixing to upgrade to the 8 pro from the 6pro. I never cared for apple or Samsung myself. My wife uses Samsung . It has strange quirks I guess that I never cared for. However that is only my opinion.
Samsung camera is not terrible, but if there was ever an overrated camera system hyped by affiliated Samsung YT channels, the S23U would be right up there. It's good, but no where near as good as some people claim, mainly due to aged out of date sensors that are uncompetitive versus the hardware of Chinese flagships.
I don't think the P8P is even comparable to the S23U. It's a good phone, but not in the same class as the S23U. There are just too many things you can do with the S23U, that you can't with the P8P.
The pixel has a ton of real life useful features, i think thats what got me over my S22 Ultra. The Samsung's are nice and whatnot but alot of the features are mostly just a gimmick that i used once or twice and never used again.
Yeah. I enjoy using a phone that doesn't turn into a toaster (because of how much the Pixel overheats) & doesn't have constant bugs/hardware issues. I'll choose the S23U every time.
Can you clarify on bugs and hardware issue's and have you even used the pixel 8/pro it does not over heat at all there was a bit of an issue with that for the 7 but not the 8
I have s22 ultra, and it recently started guvubg trouble wint stay in network. I look it up multiple people with different providers who have s22 and s23 are havi g same issue and samsung is not resolving and providers can't. Im now looking at reviews for google phones cause i hate iPhone
Sure, you may want to pick up the Pixel up off the table now but after it breaks down either hardware or software wise a little later you'll realize you made the wrong choice.
Pixel 7 Pro here... Still going strong. It's going so well, I passed on the Pixel 8. I'll wait until the 9 to upgrade or when they dump the Exynos based Tensor for a total in house designed chip.
Got an S22 Ultra when it first came out...didnt like extra vibrant photos it does and missing Ultrawide Correction and less battery...so I went back to my old LG V60. S23 came out and still did not like the camera and STILL missing Ultrawide Correction so I didnt bother checking it out and kept using my V60. Was interested with the Google Pixel 8 Pro and its camera but battery was not as good as the LG V60. Then there was the Sony Xperia 1 V...which have everything I was looking for including no camera hole on screen ... And its awesome!

@@FeelingPeculiar I think I'll be switching to Samsung myself. Probably get the S24+ with 12Gb of RAM. Cuz I multitask a lot
@@JB-1184 I noticed that too when I had it. Some apps were consuming so much power in the background. Even if you have them set to restricted. The standby battery drain in the Pixel 8 series is terrible.
I've been having a good experience with the pixel 7 pro.
@@Lunarpollo5622 I did too. But I don't know what happened after I updated to Android 14. The connectivity started messing up bad!
Software is more important to me
@pa-dn1vhwhile they are issues with the Pixel Line Up, I do think that people who live in cities will not have problems with the modem.
The battery life is alright, nothing crazy but not bad as well.
@pa-dn1vh For real .. battery life and signal strength should be tested first before anything. Camera is subjective and most flagship cameras are great anyway and practically the same for the past 4 generations.
Software is the number 1 reason I don't like pixels
Is the dress blue/ black or white/gold?
I love my Samsung and feel it gives me everything i need. 0 issues or problems in the past 6 months and that is why Im keeping it.
S23 ultra all day. Those ai features ain’t that groundbreaking enough for me to switch.
Despite the banger processer the s23 ultra is not as smooth as the pixel.
They just cant do it for whatever reason.
Let it lay awhile and after the pickup it will always stutter.
OneUi6 December Update here.
Camera wise yeah... P8Pro is way more reliable for me.
Just got rid of my pixel 8 pro in favor of the s23 plus. It definitely lags behind the snapdragon 8 gen 2.
Love my P8P, no over heating issues and good battery life. The December drop is awesome as well, video boost and the selfie light is a nice addition.
Had my 6P for a year and a few months (probably two years) and this thing over heats so bad I can cook food (hottest it has gotten is 130F) and the battery life is so poor

I upgraded from the 6 pro to the 8 pro. The overheating issue is gone I can assure you!!!@@Kovick01

13:33... Uhh. I really relate to the people who, "want to measure the temperature of... things." I don't have any application for this in my life. I just like the idea of measuring the temperature of the wall occasionally.
You can measure your body temp now
Hi 😊
Do you use the HDR Ultra settings on or off what's your thoughts please, also the colour enhance? Not sure whether to leave on or off, HDR Ultra seems to make the sky too bright and glary looking but does little to brighten the pic overall. 8 Pro Max. Thanks ❤
ip15pm - iOS, loudest speakers, best battery in video playback
S23U - best screen, best speakers (quieter than ip15pm, but livelier), no throttle in gaming, spen
P8P - best natural photos out of box + that google voice transcription
I would love to see your approach on the premium Motorola Edge phones or the ThinkPhone. They definitely coming back.
@@PlaticusLOL damn all it took was 2 days 😂 good thing I got the s23 ultra best phone ever period 👌
I had the same issue as you described with the p8pro. It's horrible. Google's software optimization doesn't impress me, like it used to
wait what? didnt he just say he'd opt for the p8p over the 23ultra?
Love my Pixel 8 Pro, ending the day around 20%, no more heating issues like the 7 Pro. Kudos to Google for this one.
same... came from the 23u too. have 0 regrets
Pixel 8 pro is like 50% off too
Have nothing the Pixel 8 pro and iPhone 15 pro max. Can make it all day with IPhone. On P8P I make it a little over half a day doing the exact same thing
Audio quality differences? Wireless, wired, speaker, call quality?

You saved 15 Minutes of my Livetime ❤
I’ve got the s23 ultra looking at it now about to return it. It’s just like a slab and feels clunky. The software doesn’t seem smooth. I’m not into cameras what would you suggest?
id suggest iphone!!! samsung uses inferior processors if your not in the US...only the US gets the snapdragon chips...others get the crappy exynos crap!!! plus their batteries swell up even forcing the phone case to open up!!! i wouldnt have that even near my house!!!
@@timekeeperg2112the s23 ultra uses snapdragon only
Sigh . low-key feeling left out with the regular pixel 8.. but pixel 8 pro is not worth more than 700usd imo
I love the software so much but this color shift problem is annoying me
My Pixel 8 Pro has the same color shifting issue. I noticed mine when i was recording a video.
Will you review the Lucid Gravity?
MY 2023 list :
1. Huawei mate x5 foldable 1 tb simply brilliant
2. My glorious incredible Samsung s23 ultra
3. ONE PLUS OPEN
4. XIAOMI MIX FOLD 3
5. PIXEL 8 PRO
6. Iphone 15 pro max 1 tb
Too many limitations with the iphone .
Ouch
To be fair as an Apple fan, we have known about and asked for RCS for a very long time.
Would love to receive a reply :-)

If you never owned a pixel, then there wont be a problem for you to miss something, but if you want an experience close to google’s ai, get the S24 ultra, it has similar ai stuff, but no all of them.

And you know that I have a Google 7 pro. A galaxy s23 ultra. A one plus 8 pro. And a galaxy A9+ tablet. Which one is the best?😊
Realisticly... I wouldn't pick either of these, not my style mmm
Transcribing audio is extremely important to me. I go to a lot of meetings and this is a game changer. Pixel 8 pro here I come
I've gone from a iPhone 14 Pro to the Pixel 8 Pro, and I don't regret a thing.
So which one have better battery ?
Leaving my 6 Pro, and going back to Galaxy. I've had this since launch and Pixel's software is so boring
Which one do u recommend to buy?
I own S21 ultra... Thx
S24 Ultra
The only thing that keeps me in the Apple ecosystem is my Apple Watch Ultra, which I truly love. It’s a great watch. I would love it if Google made a pixel watch that was like an ultra that would be very cool.
What do you like so much about it? I have the ultra and the pixel watch 2.
I Just Switched from the iphone 14 Pro and applewatch and got the S 23 ultra and the watch 6 Classic and the watch is better overall and the battery is better in that I Can wear It Overnight without having to worry about it dying that and the apps don't freeze up.

(its not a bad thing since Pixel are modified Exynos chips too but for the same price having massive performance differences selling Exynos & SD is kinda scummy - also heard they get way hotter and throttle more compared to the modified Pixel ones - but cant confirm)
If u care about updates the Pixel 8 lineup offers way longer feature & secruity updates than the S23FE. so if u are a long term user that takes care about ur phone and keep them usually for a long term its worth (also repairability is "easier" on the pixel)
Technically speaking from Hardware: the Pixel 8 (non pro) is "higher or has about the same" spec than the S23FE (but smaller) - the pixel 8 non pro has no tele lens tho but idk if the 8mp in the samsung makes even sense.
@@Vss077 but which one is better to making photos?
All those people who are commenting how they are happy with their Pixel ,
just give it a few months and the Battery Life and performance will hit a new low.
Can’t wait to text all my friends with “Rick’s”. Gonna be so cool 😎🤣

Hi Jon, as always I enjoyed watching this video. You've made a mistake while describing about the chipsets in 09:52 while talking about the pixel. You said "the pixel 3 has their own Tensor G3"...😅

Loving these detailed videos about the pixel 8 pro and the samsung galaxy s23 ultra. I am so done with Apple products .
Honestly no , you'll probably miss the iPhone after the initial honeymoon stage .
I switched to iPhone for a good two months in order to really get into it. I never felt intrigued by it. I felt like I was controlled and limited.
I've been with Samsung for a long time but I'm switching to google. Less bloatware, faster updates, AI...
@@srortiz87 That's what I'm talking about! If only I hadn't already spent so much on the ecosystem, Google seems to provide a better all-round package that's more reliable, easier to use and more stylish.

Pixel 7 Pro here... Still going strong. It's going so well, I passed on the Pixel 8. I'll wait until the 9 to upgrade or when they dump the Exynos based Tensor for a total in house designed chip.
That temperature sensor on the Google Pixel is a big party trick. If you have the extra money, Samsung S23 Ultra is the way to go.
