Imagine having having a DS Lite with a copy of Firered or Leafgreen in the GBA slot and playing HG/SS and when you make it to Mt. Silver the trainer you actually fight is yours from you FR/LG game that’s in the DS Lite
That wouldn't be possible and plus the ds lite isn't the only DS to a gba slot and ds slot the original DS had those slots too

Since you can transfer Pokemon from FRLG to HGSS, the game could probs, make a trainer, Red in this case, having the data of the 6 Pokémon in your FRLG Team. It would be, really fun.

If this was the case I'd have issues cuz I always ended the game with Max IV optimal EV pokemon so I'd have a challenge every time. It would be a constant headache for me but you would already know what to bring to counter your old team. Ya know
Fire Red/Leaf Green should have ended with Red heading to Mt.Silver.

@@endersaurpvps1586 this wouldn’t make sense. red just... leaves? but won’t you do post game things, or do trading, or catch foreign pokémon, and complete the pokedex? ending like that would disrupt the game’s functioning.
This should have been a standard thing in all games IMO. The protagonist of the previous game appearing as a post game optional super boss. A subtle way of passing the torch. Also a good way of seeing an older character in a newer animation design.
Would be hard to do with newer games, since the character customization is way bigger
It made sense with the first two games because 2nd gen is a direct sequel to gen 1, Red is constantly mentioned throughout G/S/C, Johto is right next to Kanto, you take all of the Kanto badges, and then you finish by beating Red. The thing is Gen 1 made huge success, so they made Gen 2 for those who played Gen 1, pretty much. Nowadays, games are independent from all the others and so it wouldn't make sense to have old characters return for the story the way Red did.
Nah, it just feels forced pandering to me. The guy before me perfectly explained why it worked well in in GSC and HG/SS and they could've done it in BW2 as well but there's no other reason to do it in other gens.
This would be cool but some of the games take place 3 or more years later not just that gen 1 to 2 and bw to bw2 made sense since both games say 2 years have past where the other regions you have to explain how they got there why they are there and pick a canon team

Honestly, Mt. Silver should've been in FireRed and LeafGreen. And you get a special item when you reach the top or something.

Well actually to all three of you it could very well be cannon.... in another universe lol. Remember due to the confirmations in USUM we know that there are multiple timelines. However, these two people are right. The remakes aren't the original timeline, not mention that HGSS was nothing more than a huge fanservice to players. You could get Arceus, at max (if you hacked) 2 sinnoh leggies on your own, you could get hoenn leggies, and then ofc your johto legendaries. It would be weird if they didnt have the kantonian Mewtwo. It was just another fan service to the people and an oversight to the timeline, but could use the power of alternate timelines to let their work slide
Man, hacks like this bring me back to the old days where yeah things were clearly hacks and even fakes trying to pass off as real, but there was a chance they COULD be real, like, it felt like if you just did certain insane requirements then maybe just maybe you got to experience a whole new side quest you didn't even know existed in the game. It's pure magic, and it makes me feel nostalgic for those days.

... The Sevii Islands are literally the best part of Kanto and you want them out of the game? They have original designed zones, a cool exploration, some dungeons, sea routes, post-League quests with another Rocket Hideout and Pokémon from Johto. Imho they're one of the best Pokémon Post-League in general

Wow. This Ethan almost had the exact same team I have. I used typhlosion, ampharos, scizor, umbreon, togekiss, and red gyarados.

It’s nice to see that Pokémon Hacks are still being made nowadays and it still receives a good amount of attention and praise. Being a hacker myself, it’s really fun and I wish it was as strong as it was 10 years ago. Awesome!

Would be amazing if you used Mixeli or Pokeli's interpretation of gold's theme and remix that into gba. I'd love to see that play out.
Was honestly kind of surprised at the team compilation for Ethan. I understand that it might be more accurate to what someone who actually played that game would have, but personally I would have tried to draw parallels to Red’s team: all three starters, then three iconic Pokémon from the gen 2 set.
The three Johto starters plus some plot associated Pokémon like Sudowoodo (as a paralel to Snorlax) and Togetic (The first pokemon you get as an egg) either Umbreon or Espeon as a referênce to evolution by friendship (maybe Umbreon since Dark type was a new type at that time) and either Steelix or Scizor as Pokémon of the new (at that time) steel type and because their pokemon that evolve by trade with an item attached (a gen2 mechanic)
@@Tomatrix shiny gyarados would also be a good fit since gen 2 introduced shinies and because it's a required encounter in gen 2's story.

After I saw Red's Blastoise out speed Gold's Typhlosion, which is 6 levels lower, I looked up their base stats and there's no way that should have legitimately happened, but what's done is done here. It's still a nice video btw.

I think it's cool that you expanded Fire Red like this, I dont see many people do it in such a way. All I usually find are Remix which are not that different sometimes to the original. Maybe you could expand the Rom to go into Johto as a small reverse Soul Silver and Heart Gold. I dont see many rooms go past the Lv.100 cap which would be cool to see. That or I am not looking hard enough so feel free to recommend me any rooms that do accomplish that please.
I know Pokemon Adventures does some of what I mentioned.
His Typhlosion with the correct moveset alone would put you to rest.

Legend has it that after Golds defeat Gold rushed to train harder once more to try to defeat Red on Mt Silver
theres some sayings that even up until now....theyre still taking turns battling and winning over each other.
You say he trained hard for a year but all his pokemon are the exact same level basically.
Ethan's team is Typhlosion, Ampharos, Heracross, Skarmory, Donphan, Tyranitar (i used Umbreon & Togetic before) but Skarmory & Tyranitar take his places.
I actually prefer Pokemon Red/Blue and/or Yellow evolutions over all the rest, call me oldschool, but all the others just seem so extra ...
I still remember the first Pokemon I ever evolved was my Squirtle in Pokemon Red, just imagine what it's like, buying a Pokemon game because of the anime, barely having any idea how the game works, only for the game to just freeze at the end of a fight while you keep pressing A and instead of the trainer screen ending after showing how much money you won, instead it says "What? Squirtle is evolving!" and he just randomly appears onto the center screen and starts turning into a new Pokemon before your eyes, you just see glimpses of it happening, just before it happens for real ...
You just don't have time to even fully realize what's going until it actually happens when the animation finishes ... And then all of a sudden there's a completely different Pokémon that you've never even seen the animation for before, it takes a moment before you truly understand that it was actually yours ...
Take a look at the first evolution in the video from Red and Blue, and take a look at what I mean. Look at it, and imagine for a moment that was YOUR Pikachu. YOU caught it, and if it was almost any other Pokemon, it would be RIGHT at the end of a battle, you constantly pressing A to get out of the battle, just after the trainer class sprite appears with some witty/funny text, saying that they lost, and "you got $[XXXX] for winning", before that message suddenly appears after the game freezes for a confusing moment, then the screen flashes out and it appears in the center ...
Just look at the start of the video again, and imagine that that Pokemon that was yours ...

Ethan's Pokemon party is kinda weird compared to Red's party though. Red's Pokemon party kinda makes sense, it's all the Pokemon that was given to him (minus Snorlax, but you had to fight and capture a Snorlax to get to certain areas so it's basically given to you). Ethan's Pokemon is just kinda random compared to Red's in my opinion.

The perfect team for Ethan would be Typhlosion, Feraligatr, Meganium, Ampharos, Heracross, and Red Gyarados.
