    Reliving my childhood memories.. thank you do much for the upload... unfortunately I wasn't tall enough to ride this one when I went.. but i always was so jealous of my parents.. I loved batman... i looked up to him and being able to ride his ride would have made me feel even more like a super hero! I wish I could have.. but the line que was absolutely amazing.. super stunning.. i wish they did more with the que lines nowadays.. they used to go above and beyond.. it was something to remember about the ride.. especially since you spent so much of your time in the line que.. also... the stunt show was waaaaaay cool! It trumps any theme park show I've been able to see in a while.. super cool old Hollywood set type shit.. can't beat that!

    The scariest part about this ride, for me, was the climb at the beginning. I wouldn't know about the rest because my eyes were closed. Felt scary though.

    • @tolatalyrealvillan139
      @tolatalyrealvillan139 6 лет назад +2

      This thing would cost well over 5 million, one because they don't have any mechanical parts for it, and intamin does not make these, second it's completely rusted and would require a refurb from B&M, third, new trains no one would want the stand up trains so they would have to buy floorless and those would cost 4 million alone, forth they're getting a eurofighter but at the time you wrote this comment you didn't know that

    Another great video from Anton's collection! :-) I was wondering how the shoulder restraints worked on the Intamin Stand-up coasters. One side of the shoulder restraint opens and closes while the other half is connected to the seat, while the whole seat moves up and down to adjust to the riders' height until locked, obviously! ;-) That's quite odd and neat at the same time how that restraint system works. Thanks for uploading Steve! :-)

      John Brooks Shockwave at Drayton Manor is another of this type of Intamin Stand up with the split shoulder restraint. I have video of that which I'll be putting up sometime soon in the future.

      John Brooks why does this intamin track look like b&m track?

    • @johnbrooks715
      @johnbrooks715 7 лет назад +1

      The Intamin track looks like B&M track because Walter Bolliger and Claude Mabillard worked for Giovanola who supplied rides for Intamin. They left in 1987 and founded B&M in 1988. They used the track design which Intamin/Giovanola had designed in order to create their own coasters. :-)

      +creeperboom gaming Hi, yeah it is Intamin. Perhaps this explanation will make sense. The first four abreast box section tracks where fabricated by Giovanola originally for Intamin and at that time it is my understanding that Walter Boliger used to work at Giovanola where he developed the box section track. Soon after that he set up his own company and then the classic four abreast box section track became the property and trademark of the B&M company. Hope this makes sense.

    • @bubbasboutit1

    formerly Shockwave at Great Adventure. Isn't it wierd how they removed a stand up in the 90s, and in 2011, the new ride announced was a stand up?

      they took out an ok stand up for the time in the late 80's and replaced a custom epic arrow looper with a terrible, painful B&M stand up in 2011. Worst Six Flags Great Adventure decision ever.

    • @psyclonesteve
      @psyclonesteve  9 лет назад +5

      Lorean Lerma Well, according to RCDB. Serial Thriller is now at La Ronde as Ednor L'Attaque. Batman is in storage at Darien Lake. Greezed Lightnin' is in storage at Joyland Amusement Park.Excalibur, after sitting in storage, the trains were sent to Six Flags Over Texas, the rest of the ride was scrapped. Ultra Twister went to Six Flags America, I don't know what happened then and I think the Texas Cyclone was demolished !

      Ultra Twister was stupidly damaged too much to repair so in 2010 it was scrapped and taken off site of Six Flags America. Batman: The Escape was supposed to go up quickly at Darien Lake but then six flags sold it too and as a resulted it rotted on site and is probably beyond repair now too.
