I like the stock sounds with resonator better... at least on the video. Maybe in person its different. But guess the extra bit of torque makes the mod worth the exercise if you have the desire.
just a bit of info on your jacking point, I have steeds jacking rails, simply unbolt 4 bolts hold rails in place and bolt back up, you can then jack car up anywhere along under the rails, initially designed for fox body race cars to stiffen up the body because apparently they suffered with a bit of flex , hope this is helpful 🙏
I have 2021 Mach 1 , I work at Ford Dealership, another customer bought a Mach 1 and had the H pipe installed before delivery. We put them side by side and the mechanics were split on which sounded better. The majority felt the slight difference wasn't worth cutting out resonator. Just my 2 cents.
Odd because it’s a huge difference in sound especially at high rpm like 6500 to 7000. The resonator was the first thing I removed for my Steeda Hpipe. Even with OEM mufflers it was huge difference in sound.
@@OEMPlus no. With the oem and hpipe it’s was very nice even at highway speed it’s barely noticeable till you step into it. With the Steeda aggressive time it’s loud even at idle then when you are wot it’s extremely loud. But again it’s sounded fine just cruising deep sound not crazy.
I'm a little skeptical on that torque increase. I mean, those guys are selling their H-pipe, so I'm not convinced that it's accurate. Seems like too much torque gain for such a basic modification.
I see what you mean. But the way it tapers off seems to make sense. It is also possible that maybe on their first pull they rolled into the throttle. I believe older generations came with an h pipe stock. I wonder why ford got away from it

I've already got an h pipe sitting at the dealership where it will deliver to get put on before I even pick it up, knew I wanted that sound and torque right out of the gate. So, I have Steeda's X-pipe. I really don't know a lot about the gains... BUT... The sound is absolutely without a doubt my favorite change to my '22 Mach 1!!! THE BURBLES!!!!! For instance... easy acceleration in 3rd (man pedal) about half throttle up to 35ish mph and roll out of the throttle and those burbles sound off. With just the addition of an x-pipe (everything is drivetrain is completely stock) this is the best sounding V8 I have ever owned. It was a waste to purchase the BO sound system because the music from that active exhaust in track mode is one the the best parts of this vehicle!!!!!
I agree these cars IMO sound perfect from the factory. One of the main reasons I left my exhaust stock downstream of my twin turbos. Eventually Id like to add electronic cutouts just so I have little to no back pressure but otherwise absolutely perfect as a daily
On my 2020 csgt I went through to exhaust setups a custom one with xpipe from a local shop and then a borla atak catback and that thing sounded amazing.. but my new 2022 mach1 with this adaptive exhaust sounds ridiculous stock. Thinking bout an xpipe and just a axel back setup. Idk though. It sounds perfect in track mode.

Honestly the muffler setup from the factory is glorious. Check out my latest video of me racing my wife and the camera from inside her car when shes chasing me sounds fantastic. I used to not like how the 5.0s sounded but as long as you dont make them too loud I think they are Ok.
I deleted my resonator and did custom pipes and i took airflow restriction out cold air intake to gain back my 10hp loss on my 2022 mach 1 10 speed auto.
To be honest it doesnt pop and bang that much. Now with the turbos I get a little bit if I do a pull, let off, and the wastegates dump. All and all a pretty tame exhaust. Older i get the more I want to be seen more but heard less
What I want to know is how to replace the headlight bulb because there is no opening or nothing so I guess you have to buy the whole headlight assy when one goes out how dumb is that? Maybe you can advise us new owners. Thanks
As someone who's ran x-pipes on my German car, I thought I made the hard decision to go with the H-pipe on my Mach 1.....and then I came across the double H pipe. And now, I'm going t to spend $640.

Two very different cars. Biggest selling point for ZL1 is torque everywhere anytime. Beyond that maybe also superior steering feel but Mach is better on track, more comfortable, more modern feel inside. Its a car you could drive more often for sure

Yea performance should be the same on any 2018+ GT. X pipe is where you will really see solid gains across the rpm range. Id expect a shop to charge 2hrs labor. So under $250
They are back at the mufflers in the rear of the car. So you could do long tubes, mid pipes, even upstream cutouts, etc. and still retain functionality. The beauty of the resonator delete is its not obnoxious but gives you a meaner sound so you dont have to constsntly drive around in Track mode if you wanted to hear it growl
Yea im sure they are saying it is for emissions but I bet when they release the S650 Mustang it will have 480hp in the GT. That way they can say it is a 30hp bump (GT gets derated to 450hp for 2022). I wouldn’t let it deter you. Youll never notice 10hp in the seat of your pants

Yea I wouldnt overspend on something like this. Theres no magic for this part at this level. Pretty much a resonator delete x or h pipe is the same as the next. Now, if one is stainless vs steel or aluminized steel or wtv you could decide if that matters to you. Otherwise save your money and get the cheap one
@marktarascio4766 it has been a minute since installed but I believe it was either a low grade stainless or aluminized steel. Either way it should last for a while. It definitely wasn’t plain uncoated mild steel.
You’re not gaining 40tq with an H pipe any where in the power band. Sorry it’s not possible. More like 5. Also I don’t know if you’re aware but the specific unique sound Ford gave the Mach1 stems from the resonator.
@@TheCdM1981 they key is “where” in the rpm range. Im not stating it makes 40ft lb more of peak torque but its gaining around 40 ft lb lower in the rpm range due to the exhaust change. Steeda has done the dyno for us. The facts are there. It picks up torque lower in the torque range.

Nope no droning on the highway. Its only loud on a cold start where the idle is high. After that it quiets down. Has a bit more of a muscle car tone at WOT especially in track mode
@@douglasborden3938 except its loud(er) lol. Im not saying h pipe effected the high idle at start but rather it just amplifies the noise without a resonator. I typically set it to start in quiet mode and then flip modes to sport or track once im out of the neighborhood
Sound is subjective for sure. Check out some of my newer videos with the twin turbos installed. Ill be dropping a video this weekend after installing cutouts with the turbo system too.

This is the exact way I'm planning on ordering my Mach 1. So nice to see an actual Velocity Blue and not a FJG Mach and non hp
fjg is really nice, which is what i have one thing for sure i dont like the stripes on the side. ill be removing it soon

Install jacking rails if they are available for the Mach 1, Steeda probably has them. Then you can lift anywhere along the rails on each side!

The steeda is more money because it has a higher grade stainless steel 304 versus 409

Where are the Active Exhaust Valve Modules located? Just wondered you can upgrade exhaust and keep the factory Active Exaust?

The spoiler can be bought for 575. The splitter is gonna be a nightmare on the street and parking. I actually find the non handling package rims nicer

A $150 mild steel pipe will rust and ruin the stock pipes not worth it.

The claim comes from Steedas testing on their chassis dyno. Check out their video if you are skeptical of the claims
