Thanks for the great review! You convinced me to get the Mach 1 as I have been on the fence. It's great that you explained that the Mach 1 is a comfortable daily driver, and doesn't beat you up.
You purchased a fantastic Mustang. My first new car before college was a 1969 Red Mach 1 with a 351 Cleveland. The Mach 1 came with a black fixed hood scoop setting on a black full length hood decal. Not a shaker. Most shaker hood options were found on the Cobra Jets and Boss models. I think your beautiful Mustang's long hood looks better without a Shaker. This is basically a GT350 with a Coyote. Great looking Mustang that offers luxury and a large dose of performance. Personally, if I was buying a Mustang. It would be a Mach 1. Congratulations and enjoy.
Very nice hello from the UK just subbed as you doing something with the fogs light cutout is interesting. I have a UK spec one fighter jet gray coming in November plus have a steeda H pipe and PP front splitter and spoiler and some odds that are coming off my GT rear light/sidelights.

I just discovered you and your videos today. I know you picked up your Mach 1 a while back but belated congrats. She is a fantastic car in every respect. I, too, am a Mach 1 owner since May 14th, 2021. I didn't have to order mine. A dealership in Virginia near DC had one in the showroom and I drove there to get her. But it took an exhaustive search over 2 months before I found her. I lucked out because I found her the first day she was advertised on cars. com ...........This is my 3rd Mustang (2019 Race Red GT, traded for a 2020 California Special, then traded that for the Mach 1). First two were 6 speeds with the tranny you hate but honestly I had no issues. They both shifted smoothly. Do they compare to the Mach 1 Tremec? Of course not! But it's not a fair comparison. Although I had a Tremec in my 2016 Challenger Hellcat and no way did that shift as smoothly as in the Mach 1. That Hellcat is now a 2021 Hellcat Charger Redeye and, as most everyone knows, Chargers are always automatics. I almost bought a Mach 1 in Velocity Blue but in the end, I had to have her in Twister Orange because OMG she just really pops in that color and I remember the grabber orange 1969 Mach 1's and to this day I still worship that car (and in Calypso Coral too). I will agree with you regarding your choice of wheels, because it's definitely a really nice, sharp-looking wheel but I went for 5-spoke black because I just liked it better than what you have. TEHO, right? You picked the same seats as I have (no way cloth and def no way Recaro -- no power, no heat/cool, and uncomfortable) and of course the 6-speed. I have no idea why anyone would buy a new Mach 1 with an automatic transmission because the thrill of owning this car is the shifting, but again, TEHO. It cannot be overstated how amazing this car drives and handles. Your video shows that off quite nicely. And the exhaust sound is phenomenal. I only drive mine in sport mode. And it changes the dash display to something I like a lot better anyway. I took her to car shows in 2021 and I can honestly say, it was something of a shame whenever I got to the car show because it meant the ride was over until later. I never wanted to stop driving her. I am 5' 10" and i'm very comfortable behind the wheel. But I think much beyond 6' tall and it might not be as comfortable for the driver. But it's not a Charger or Challenger cavernous interior and wasn't meant to be. But compared to my 2017 Camaro 1SS I used to have, it's a heck of a lot roomier and not all the blind spots. Farthest I drove her was Akron area to Cincinnati and I was comfortable there and back. There's a lot to love about the new Mach 1 -- power, handlings, looks, interior, sound, speed, and much more. You can even race it stock and she'll do low 12's in the quarter. But I didn't appreciate that Ford didn't put Brembo's all around. It would have been the right decision to put them on all four wheels. No one would have complained if it raised the price a bit. Now if I wanna do it, the parts and labor for two wheels is around $2200. Also, hood struts would have been nice but you can get a nice set of aftermarket struts with FORD on them for about $100 and they're easy to install. Shock tower caps that say Mach 1 would be a nice aftermarket item to cover up the nuts and bolts. I can't seem to find the reason why Ford didn't go with the shaker hood because they were able to do it or the '03 and '04 model Mach 1's but the decal mimics the original and I like it, although you have to be super, super careful how you keep the decal clean or it will scratch or the color will be affected. Ultimately, Ford did a super job with the new Mach 1. She's been a hit at every car show i've taken her to, won trophies, and I have been so proud to sit next to her as people walk by and have everything nice to say. It's always so sad when I finally have to park her at home. I'll never, ever sell her, not even for a new Shelby. I truly wish you the best of luck with yours. She's a beauty in that gorgeous Blue color.
Congrats! I had a 2011 GT and added a Vortech it was a blast and luckily I had no troubles with the transmission. This new Mach 1 has my interest due to the last year (2023) of the S550, IRS, 480HP, Tremec 6sp, digital dash and improved (slightly) interior. There is a method to my madness. Ive driven GT350s and unless you are tracking it consistently the tires/suspension are aggressive for the street. Ive already tracked my Mach multiple times and your average driver is going to be nowhere near the limit of what this car is capable of with or without the $3500 handling package. Honesty I bet most Mach 1 owners dont even track their cars so my vote is if you plan to drive it on the street with some occasional track use you are better off saving the $3500. Base Mach 1.....ill pass
If and when you want more put that towards the mods more specifically tailored to your driving style. This thing is no slouch on a road course.
@@truckandroll989 i think I’m going to order mine with the handling package when I order the 2022 Mach 1. The look of it is worth the 3.5k for me! I plan on touring across the states with it one day and going to tracks. But it will be my daily lol
@@zabuzaa275 honestly it will be great. Just plan on another set of wheels/tires for when you daily
@@truckandroll989 thank you for your advice! I did plan on putting new tires on it because I’ve multiple people say the cup 2’s are not good on street! Ps I found your channel yesterday and I absolutely love it so far! I’ve subscribed and keep up the uploading!!
