Speaking as someone who bought the Sigma lens at Gabriel's suggestion, I can say that I am very happy with it! Thanks for the detailed, deep dive on this subject. Very helpful for me as I am not an expert on camera stuff
Thank you my brother. I saw your footage made with your new setup and it's great :) I am super happy to help and to see that you are happy and achieve the quality that you want. Thank you and I really appreciate your support here :)
Hi Gabriel, awesome video. I currently have a Sony E-Mount 11mm f/1.8 APS-C Ultra Wide-Angle Prime Lens and I use it with the Elgato prompter. The issue is, I see the teleprompter in the frame of my videos which significantly affects the bokeh effect and I have to crop the videos after. I am looking to get a new lens since I have a very small space. Do you think the sigma 16mm f1.4 wont capture the teleprompter edges in my videos?
Hello, my friend! Yes, the 11mm it's for sure too wide. I don't have the Elgato prompter to check, but I know a fellow RUclipsr who has the Elgato Prompter and the Sigma 16mm. @TommyEmEl can help us find out this :) This is his channel: www.youtube.com/@TommyEmEl Thank you!
I just upgraded to the 16-35mm GM (version 1) because right now you can grab them used for like $1K which I would rather spend a bit more just to have that awesome GM lens. The difference is not huge for sure. I came from the Tamron 17-28mm..Great video
Hey, thank you! This is the beauty of MK II versions :)) Make the first version much cheaper :)) I love this lens, the first version. I have it and it's incredible. But yeah, for talking head videos is not a huge difference, but if you plan to do more, you will feel it. Thank you for you comment and good luck with your content :)
Hey! The image with 50mm it's great but if you can use it or not it depends on your space. Watch this video to see the exact measurements: ruclips.net/video/eV5zeYnmFN4/видео.html Thank you!
hi Gabriel, amazing video well explained. could you please clarify you said Tamron 11-20mm f2.8 on full frame will be 11-20mm, whereas Tamron website says this lens on Full Frame is equivalent to 16.5-30mm. Is it correct? Also I have sony a7iii full frame camera could you please suggest 16-35mm sony lens alternative? without compromising the wide angle, dont wanna go down to 24mm i'll be grateful thanks
Hey! Because it's a full-frame lens, on Full frame sensors will be 11-20. On CROP sensors will be 16.5 - 30. On your camera, this will be 11-20. This Sigma will be something close to 16-35: amzn.to/4fWGyzf
Hey Gabriel. Any thoughts on the Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 or or Tamron 17-70mm f2.8? Seems to be pretty good value; meets the right focal lengths (with ability to mix it up), right aperture but unsure of the quietness for example. Could be useful to have this as a do-it-all lense to use when travelling also. Keep up the good work, thanks.
Hey bro! I didn't test the Sigma 18-50 mm but I have other lenses from Sigma and all of them are great. Silent motors and great image. I tested Tamron 17-70 and it’s great but big! This is up to your needs. Both are great and I think you can do great work with them.
90% of the time I use my ZV-E10 with Sigma 16mm. When I film the ZV-E10 to show it, I use the A7S III. You can watch my latest videos, all are made with ZV-E10 and Sigma 16mm.
I have the problem that im just about 2,6 feet / 80cm away with my camera - what lense woulf you choose regard focal length? At the moment i have the stock lense of canon and this is 16-35 and i have the feelinh that im too close.
Hey! Under 250 euro… I don’t know. Use the kit lens. In my opinion, you need to invest in one single lens and that is Sigma 16. I know is more expensive but the quality is amazing. Maybe wait a little bit longer and make a great investment than a cheap one with poor results.
@@GabrielVIP but for Sigma i will also need big room so i can put camera far away than me. as you showed in this video. i can put camera maximum 3 feet away from me it means exactly behind my computer table or on the table with gimbel . now what would you suggest
Which focal length lens will have the more flattering effect for the face ? I’m thinking of getting Sony ZVE 10 crop sensor camera ,I don’t need to be too close to the camera.
I am not 100% sure but I think 6 to 10 feet. I suggest to go on any camera store and take a test. Just try a camera with 35 and see what happens. Thank you!
@@GabrielVIP La que tengo aquí de oferta: Sony ZVE10 + 16-50mm f3.5-5.6 - 739€. Me servirá está lente o mejor compro solo cuerpo? 🙋🏼♂️ La lente Sony 16-35mm G máster F2.8 indica que es FF, y es carísima 😲🤣🤣
Hey. That’s a good solution. If you want to have something like a plant or something, with a 1.4 lens you will still have some blur even if you have just 4 feet. Thank you!
Thank you my friend! glad you like it and I appreciate your comment. If you have something in mind,, send me an email at hello@gabrielvip.com and we can see if it's something we can do :) Thank you!
Continued expert advice for all the beginners. You really should have way more exposure in here. So question bud: i have the Sony ZV-E10 and the Sigma 16mm lens...yes its beautiful in what it can do....BUT im having extreme focus issues with it. When doing my podcasts and being on zoom for our video, the damn thing keeps focusing on my mic im front of me and making me blurry. I have the same mic, the RE320, and it sits low on the desk and points up at me, but is not in front of my face, yet the camera keeps focusing on it instead of me, the much larger object in the frame... and it's ruining the video and is frustrating....i actually prefer the kit lens that came with it as it stays focused on everything but i lose the blur....
Hey bro! Thank you for your support. Let's fix that focus problem :) 1. Do you have eye tracking activated? Do you have that little square on your eye? 2. Do you use a HDMI output when you record? And record 4k? I need to know these to solve the problem proper :) Thank you!
@@GabrielVIP hey bud. Quick t response! Must be early morning over there? It's midnight here in Calgary. Yes it's HDMI into the elgato camlink 4k.... You know, I don't know if that eye focus is on!!
