Why on earth wouldnt you just titled this magnificent piece of art slightly different? @@wysokieiso haha thank you! I’ve changed the title twice already; titling a RUclips video is such a difficult thing to get right.. on most phones people only see like the first four words of the title so it needs convey the initial idea too quickly..

This is the best, simplest, and easiest to understand video I've seen on this topic. Thank you. I can't believe the video has so few views, it's criminal. Thanks god I found it
I had to pause the video @6:28 just to say. Your content is amazing. Very informative, entertaining, and straight to the point. I instantly had to sub. Much success to you. 👍
brother, you are a life saver, a wonderful person who thinks even the smallest detail. i have been following your content for a while and you have very successful content. thank you very much for this video.
There are so many videos on RUclips on lenses and yet I was left feeling less informed and then I came across your video. Wow!!! Absolute best video on lenses!!!! So informative and easy to understand. And Thank you for taking the time to show the view from each of lenses, it's exactly what I've been searching for and wanted to see. New subscriber here.
great video but the problem is that the definition of a small room is kinda different. sometimes a room is just 3mx3m and u will less than an arm's length to play with. You'd want a compression but you can only use a 10mm to grab an MS. The only solution is to move to a different country where you can afford a better house/apartment.
THANK YOU. I'm a total beginner and had no idea what lens I needed. This video was just what I needed. I think a 30mm is right for me because I do talking head shots with the frame coming in right below my chest. Thanks again for making this video tutorial.
Thanks for putting out this kind of content. Your style of presenting is great. very effective information delivery. Been following you since the early mining videos. Kinda followed the same journey as you with btc mining and the same time. Still running S19xps and some L7s. I've been slowly learning video, primarily for filming dj's in clubs/raves. 🙏🙏🙏
@@lsdave oh wow! My electricity got too expensive for even s21’s now.. I can only remote host. Kind of a bummer, but it was really fun being part of the home mining heydays!! Thanks for following me over to the new channel!! I got a little burnt out on talking about crypto projects, with everyone just losing money everywhere we looked except bitcoin
a very well video for people who are looking lenses for video making purpose. Thanks man you give very clear picture to me for which lens is suitable for my work and space. Informative for Lenses Space Purpose.
Thank you, I think the 16m or slightly longer will work better for me as I have a small room. Shame you didn't cover the kit lens as well? or did I miss it.
Hey Nick, great video to understand how lenses and their lengths work. What kind of lens should I use on the Sony ZV-E10 II for portrait shots? Use case: Vertical shots of me talking into a camera at my home desk, with heavy bokeh (extremely important)-for Instagram reels. Another detail-there is not a lot of space in the room. The desk is backed up to a wall. The distance to the wall is under 3 feet.
@@sayedhumaid heavy bokeh with less than three feet between you and the wall is a tall order! If you’re just looking for head and shoulders you might be able to do what you want with a 50mm f1.2 or f1.4. If you want more of your body the 30mm f/1.4 will still provide a lot of background blur. Anything wider in that small of a space and you’ll lose the effect.
@@NicholasJamesJohnson I really appreciate your response, Nick. Just some more clarity is needed. Because there is a wall, and the camera is on a tripod slightly away from the wall, along with my face and torso with some headroom for any graphics over the head, I want the hands on the desk to be slightly visible (Like someof your shots in this video, but portrait instead). 30mm should do the job for this use case right, right?
@@sayedhumaid OH Portrait - so skinny and tall like a phone. Yes, I misunderstood what you meant by portrait. Yes, 30mm f/1.4 will cover that for sure!
Good morning. Which camera lens would you recommend for fragrance reviewing? I want you to focus on me but I also Want to see my fragrances in the background slightly. Most of the time I can only get the camera to shoot from the top of my head to my shoulders. I have the ZE 10 Sony camera with the kit lens. If you could help me out, I would truly appreciate it.
What a good idea! Lighting tutorials are now on the list! Unfortunately, at the moment Im on a production gig in Miami for Basil Week - but when I get back home in the second week of December Im going to make a clear and concise 'how to light this video' video!
Congrats and thanks for the video, man! It's going to help me a lot when I buy the ZV in a few days. The only issue I didn't see was transferring photos to the phone. I know that was something they complained about in the previous version and they fixed it for this one? How is it done?
@@marcelinhod oh interesting, I’ve literally never even tried that function. I’m going to set it up in the studio tomorrow and see how it works. The remote operation from the phone is definitely a lot more reliable so I’ll bet transferring is too
@@marcelinhod So there's a new app from Sony called "creators app." And it works to connect your phone directly to your ZV-E10ii and pulling pictures over is super straightforward and easy. It also connects to control the camera remotely and show the view through the camera from your phone and actually stays connected, unlike it had done with the older imagine edge app.
Well that completely depends on how your space is set up and what you want to show in the background. Here you just making videos where its you sitting at a desk and talking? Do you want to show your whole body and something happening on a table? Do you need to show a lot of the wall behind you or just what's past your head and shoulders?
@ that’s a great question I didn’t even think of well I’d like to show not a ton of the back wall behind me and I will just be sitting and talking at a desk.
I JUST got my first Viltrox lens this month, a 56mm 1.7. I hadn't really considered them before that lens, but I LOVE it.. I'll see if they'll send me a 20mm and I can put something together.
I know you might be doing it to make the edit look more natural but please don't crop your shot like that especially when you explaining and comparing focal length of different camera lens. It's confusing.
I did briefly have that thought while editing this video. And I think I didn't quite do enough to explain that particular difference, zooming into a frame vs using a completely different lens- and especially since I was bouncing back and fourth between lenses WHILE ALSO zooming into and out of the frame. I need to take another crack at being more clear in this subject. Thank you
