Lol he's saying best value camera. And that's an unequivocal fact. Of course there are better cameras out there but for the price this one almost stands alone honestly
@ exactly why my comment starts with the words "i agree"... its a good BUDGET camera. value is a whole different thing though. hence the reason i mentioned the a6700. lots of value for the extra money.
@@jeremylovechild Well his title began with the word "budget" which it absolutely is. I don't disagree with you about the a6700 being amazing and arguably the king of aps-c currently, but that wasn't the point of the video right? And thats around over twice the amount of the zve10 on a good day. On that note, the fuji xm5 is an amazing "value", and for all intents and purposes, probably the best value/bang for buck camera on the market period, easily giving the a6700 a run for its money, for much less money
@@akyerit mentioning the a6700 had less to do with the "point of the video" and more to do with extending the conversation for people who might watch a video like this but be willing to spend a little more. value over the long term.
This is exactly the camera I bought a couple of months ago to transition from iPhone shooting for my RUclips channel! I have the kit lens and I find that sometimes it seems to jump between the focal points and can be distracting, I get that I’m solo shooting and the cameras doing it’s best to work out where to focus the image … now I’m not a photographer or videographer but what I don’t understand is why the kit lens gets such a hammering? My thinking is that the higher focal f number will mean that I have more of my image in focal range and if I were to go to something like the Sigma 16mm F1.4 lens you first recommend that the focal point would actually jump around more? The reason I’m specifically interested is that I think for what I do is that this is the exact lens that I would buy because I’m always filming on the widest zoom of the kit lens with my how to and restoration videos. Would love your thoughts? Cheers Drew
Hey, great explanation and really doesnt look like 100+ followers content. Great Video Can you suggest me the 2 best lens for ZV E10 for daily, travel and portrait photography and video?
My main camera is a Sony A7 IV, and I use the ZV-E10 for a second angle . No one sees a difference ( I use this camera indoors with studio lights ). I highly recommend using this camera only in 4K; when you use FHD , the image looks really bad .
Hopefully one day I will save enough money and buy myself a zve10 and sigma 18_50mm 🙏, by then i am sure i am going back to this video and your channel will be viral 💖
All good options for sure. Just remember to budget for some good lights and lenses. I think getting a cheaper body is okay if it means you can get better glass 👍🏼
I love my camera, but the only thing that really hurts me is the lack of antiflicker/var. shutter. I feel like this was such a huge oversight. I want to create desk content and the RGB lights in my keyboard for example, always make lines because despite my efforts of watching tons of videos, asking Reddit, looking up articles and conducting tests ad nauseam, I continue to see the same issue. I’ve tried changing pal/ntsc, I’ve changed the profile, I’ve changed the shutter speed more times than I can count through all these tests. I’ve tried 30fps 24fps, etc. literally every basic fix for this to no avail. Online the results were just to turn the lights off or buy a camera with this feature 💀
This is super interesting. Do you have the same issue on any other cameras? I'm curious if an cell phone video comparison could help. Honestly I would be buying a new keyboard if it was me. That's a real bummer.
@@GoodRebelCreativeit’s my favorite keyboard unfortunately. And it doesn’t happen on my phone for some reason? I set my iPhone to the same settings and it just works, if the shutter speed is wrong, it happens, but it can fix. I control everything with the black magic application. My “work around” is using the phone, but I hate that. I really want to use my camera.
Thanks for uploading this video. I have one question concerning lenses. If I wanted to take photos of people, sporting events, or products, what lens or lenses would you recommend?
Great video. I'm thinking to get one used. I'll be doing 70 percent photos and 30 percent photos mostly landscape and travel. Is the screen bright enough for outdoors? Or should I go with a6400?
I think it’s relatively good. I’ve filmed in some poorly lit basements and been happy. But this is one area where newer/more expensive sensors are definitely better. If you’re consistently in dark conditions it might be worth going for the mark ii, or even a used full frame. Also, bring a light with you if you can!
hi i wanna start photography, literally know not much about cameras yet im torn which one to get as beginner.. ZV-E 10 which was released years ago or should i get the recent one ZV-E10ii? just like iphones i replaced mine every year thinking the latest one is always the best one. Would u consider same for cameras to just simply get the latest one?
Great video! really thinking bout picking this up. I'm a beginner and I would like to shoot more photos not video (which i keep reading zv-e10 is best for vloggers). Do you think this camera is also great for pictures on vacation, street photography etc. sorry if this is a dumb question as I'm new to all this. Apricate any input and keep throwing put vids you will def get big.
Hi mate, how did you get the DJI Sony adapter to work with the smallrig cage? I have the same cage as you, but the adapter doesn't seem to fit properly. The cage blocks it from fully going in. Any advise would be appreciated 🙏🏽
I know exactly what you're talking about. It was a real struggle. At first I just installed the cage slightly crooked (shifted away from the hot shoe) and that gave me the tiny extra bit of room I needed. I did this by only using the single tripod screw hole mount on the bottom of the camera/cage. I realized later on that the cage actually comes with a screw and clamp that acts as a second mounting point near the right strap anchor. I installed that second screw thinking it would mess with the Mic 2 adapter, but for whatever reason, it has worked perfectly ever since. I was totally prepared to use a metal file to make some clearance for that adapter, it's just so handy. Hope that helps!
Thank you @GoodRebelCreative. So basically, try and manipulate the screws 🤞🏽. I'm definitely going to try that. I was going to sand down the DJI adapter a little, but a metal file to the cage sounds better. Less chance of damaging the adapter 😅. Thank you for the advice🙏🏽. Oh, there is 1 other "con" with the ZV-E10 that people don't tend to mention. But you lose eye tracking when using an external monitor. You also lose eye tracking when using the Imaging Edge App or Monitor+ App. ZV-E10 is my 1st real camera. As much as I love the camera, losing eye tracking when I record myself or my family is a pain in the back side.😅😭. Anyways, you have gained a new sub. Thank you 😊
Honestly, if you've got the budget for everything else (lenses, audio, lighting) then the Mark II is a phenomenal camera. It has even more room to level up in the future. But for budget reasons, the original is a beast.
I’m a casual photographer mainly in portraits and street photography, not videos I’m considering either the Canon R50 or the Sony ZV-E10 what your take on that
I'm looking to get a new camera, focused on a mixture of videography and photography. I've a Nikon D5100 that my father got back on its day as a family camera, and I thinks its about time to upgrade it. I've been thinking about getting the Fujifilm X-T30 or the Sony a6400, but this Sony a6400 seems to be pretty close in specs with a 200€ difference. What would you recommend me doing?
Great question. The Fuji definitely has better has some color advantages, and some cool video features if you end up doing external recording. If you're going to need really good autofocus (especially in video) the Sony would be noticeably better there. The e-mount lens system is nice too.
looking at getting this camera for my youtube videos which is all shot inside with key lights etc, so although not bright it isnt super low light and i can always add more lighting if needs be. i wondered how bad is the kit lens would it be ok for me do you think? as i cant really afford to spend another £300 on a lens and was hoping to just get the kit. any help would be appreciated, great video by the way
Great question! If the kit lens is what you've got, you're gonna be fine. You've already got some lights so you've already solved the main part of the problem. I think the ZV-E10 actually has good low light performance, it's just not absolutely bonkers (and expensive) like FX3 or ASIII. And thank you for commenting! Hope that helps.
@GoodRebelCreative thank you. I've watched a few more videos and they have seemed to get very good quality from the lens even when the lighting has looked quite low. I'm coming from using a Samsung s22 ultra for video so hopefully it'll be better than that. Keep up the good work your videos are super high quality. Hope ya get the subs you deserve.
I’m considering saving up like an extra £100 and a bit more to get the zve 10 instead of canon 800D. Is the low-light performance of the camera good? That is important to me. I’ve tried the 800d and for its price it’s decent
@@legoplanes I definitely think it’s worth the extra money. The Sony is gonna be better in low light and is a much more capable video shooter. If you’re mostly doing photography I think 800D could still be a good option because it’s so inexpensive.
@@GoodRebelCreative One of other question, what should I do for a lens? Originally I had planned to get an 18-135 or smth from canon for the 800D that would've costed around £130. I can't really spend too much on a lens, so what should I get for the Sony that has somewhat decent zoom and versatility since the Tamron is just too expensive for me.
is this camera have machanical shutter by any chance becuz i watched Jason Vong videos and in the zve10 & a6100 i think hes mention that the zve10 have mechanical shutter.
Pros: it lets you capture more information in the highlights (dynamic range) and gives you more flexibility in applying colors. Cons: it looks terrible coming straight from the camera and requires more work when editing to look right. Personally I think it’s worth it.
@@CertifiedCryptoBoy slog3 has more dynamic range, and is the official Sony recommendation, but it looks a little noisy in the shadows at times. I would try both and see which one you like better. Slog2 worked well in my ZV-E10.
This is a really good question. They're two fundamentally different tools is the problem. If I was just doing vertical content for socials, and the main focus is speed, the Pocket 3 is an easy choice. It's perfect if you're mainly filming yourself. But if you're gonna be filming other people, doing interviews, talking heads for RUclips, or just want to get a more professional/artistic look, then I think a camera like the ZV-E10 would be a great addition to the arsenal.
I actually shot and color graded an entire music video with the ZVE10. More than one to be fair, here are the results for anyone wondering how powerful this little budget friendly camera is ruclips.net/video/m7ipoHv6s2w/видео.htmlsi=ubfO4qwez_T9aqQR
For sure, that’s a step up. I think ZV’s autofocus is a tad better. I know a lot of people want to buy something new, and for $600 it’s a good starter.
Great video I’m still rocking GoPro’s and DJI pockets but it’s good to know what my next logical camera would be. I have to admit, though I was shocked to hear this camera does not have any image stabilization. I think that’s a dealbreaker for my used case, as I do so much outdoor photography with movementnot having an image stabilization is a no go for me.
Even 6700 image quality compare to zve10 can’t see a different when use the same G lens. The only thing that beats out is 5axis and weather sealed. For 6600 is not as well known compare to zve10. By the way I don’t need a view finder while shooting is sunny weather
Ya but I've seen the zve10 go for lower than 500 on the second hand market several times over. And its tiny and incredibly capable. Also has newer tech
He’s absolutely right. This camera taught me almost everything I needed to start using a mirrorless camera. A few days ago I upgraded to the a7cii and that’s amazing as well

Great Video
Can you suggest me the 2 best lens for ZV E10 for daily, travel and portrait photography and video?
Is the zve 10 good for photography?
How does the ZV-E10 compare to the Fujifilm XM-5?
I am prefer sony cz i need fast auto focus, portrait 4k video, gyro stabilizer
But i also prefer fuji cz i need film simulation 🤣
@@TriMegaWidyawanbut the price 😢
zve10 helped me a lot making money for me
How ?
@@viipeditz i have a lot of connections before i bought the camera so when i bought one and the people i knew about the camera they hire me
My main camera is a Sony A7 IV, and I use the ZV-E10 for a second angle .
You can absolutely do it! And I hope you're right about my channel :)
Nice informative video.I am debating this over the a7iii and the a6700. I feel like there are too many options and don't know which one to pick.
All good options for sure. Just remember to budget for some good lights and lenses. I think getting a cheaper body is okay if it means you can get better glass 👍🏼
Zve10 or z30 ...which is better for astrophotography?
What camera are you going to replace it with? Thanks for the great video. I'm loving my ZVE-10!
I need a camera to take shots of kush! zoom in and zoom out the kush!!
Great video. I'm thinking to get one used. I'll be doing 70 percent photos and 30 percent photos mostly landscape and travel. Is the screen bright enough for outdoors? Or should I go with a6400?
What's your take on the low-light performance? This is the first camera I'll buy ever and I know that I will be doing a lot of low light shoots.
@GoodRebelEdits Okay thanks!
hi i wanna start photography, literally know not much about cameras yet im torn which one to get as beginner.. ZV-E 10 which was released years ago or should i get the recent one ZV-E10ii? just like iphones i replaced mine every year thinking the latest one is always the best one. Would u consider same for cameras to just simply get the latest one?
Is it good for photography also ? Im planning to buy it but i want to use more of it to take pictures. And is it worth ?
good video yo

This or the canon r50?
Great video! really thinking bout picking this up. I'm a beginner and I would like to shoot more photos not video (which i keep reading zv-e10 is best for vloggers). Do you think this camera is also great for pictures on vacation, street photography etc. sorry if this is a dumb question as I'm new to all this. Apricate any input and keep throwing put vids you will def get big.
Does it come with a 30 minute recording limit?
This Camera or the a6400? Nice Video👍🏽
ZVE10 is better
🔥🔥
is still 1k better you get A6400 or A6700
Hi mate, how did you get the DJI Sony adapter to work with the smallrig cage?
Thank you 😊
@GoodRebelCreative UPDATE your advice worked.....GENIUS....now I don't need to file down/sand down the cage or the adapter 🥳
I want to get this one but I feel like I should grab the mark ii
Honestly, if you've got the budget for everything else (lenses, audio, lighting) then the Mark II is a phenomenal camera. It has even more room to level up in the future. But for budget reasons, the original is a beast.
@@GoodRebelCreativeI got the mark ii. Thanks for the advice !! I love it! I wanted the touchscreen ha
Except for exchangable lenses DJI pocket 3 is king
Is it phase detection & compatible with Techart L39 auto focus adapter? What is the flash sync?
Still rocking the ZVE10🙌
@@BwizeDigital it’s still a little beast 🤟🏼
I’m a casual photographer mainly in portraits and street photography, not videos I’m considering either the Canon R50 or the Sony ZV-E10 what your take on that
I would go Canon here. I think the viewfinder is essential for photos like that. You still get good video if you end up needing it.
The e-mount lens system is nice too.
looking at getting this camera for my youtube videos which is all shot inside with key lights etc, so although not bright it isnt super low light and i can always add more lighting if needs be. i wondered how bad is the kit lens would it be ok for me do you think? as i cant really afford to spend another £300 on a lens and was hoping to just get the kit.
any help would be appreciated,
great video by the way
Great question!
Nice 👍
Such a lovely camera. I absolutely love mine ♥️
@@GoodRebelCreative Alright thanks. I'll probably try and save up.
@@GoodRebelCreative Sorry one other question if that's alright? It's above this one in the reply chain.
Small comment: The Sony ZV-E10 came out in summer 2021
is this camera have machanical shutter by any chance becuz i watched Jason Vong videos and in the zve10 & a6100 i think hes mention that the zve10 have mechanical shutter.
What are the pros/cons of slog2 vs slog3?
Pros: it lets you capture more information in the highlights (dynamic range) and gives you more flexibility in applying colors. Cons: it looks terrible coming straight from the camera and requires more work when editing to look right. Personally I think it’s worth it.
Which is better slog2 or slog3?
@@CertifiedCryptoBoy slog3 has more dynamic range, and is the official Sony recommendation, but it looks a little noisy in the shadows at times. I would try both and see which one you like better. Slog2 worked well in my ZV-E10.
Get the canon m50
Would You buy this if You already had DJI pocket 3?
This is a really good question. They're two fundamentally different tools is the problem. If I was just doing vertical content for socials, and the main focus is speed, the Pocket 3 is an easy choice. It's perfect if you're mainly filming yourself. But if you're gonna be filming other people, doing interviews, talking heads for RUclips, or just want to get a more professional/artistic look, then I think a camera like the ZV-E10 would be a great addition to the arsenal.
@@GoodRebelCreative I got Pocket 3, Action 5 pro, and there is something that draws me into buying zv e10 alongside those 2 xD
Has anyone used this camera to film events?
Maybe if you're color blind and really don't like good ergnomics :) Canon R10 is better in every way.
The 6600 is MILES better than the zve10. Better specs in literally every category with a viewfinder. I got mine $800 used
For sure, that’s a step up.
Zv E10 is 400$ new I got mine for 350$
Kind of like cars
Pretty much exactly like that. Every car has air conditioning now, but there was a time when only high end luxury cars did.
