May sound a bit sappy... Many of your best videos are you and Will hanging out in the woodlots having fun... one of the awesome things about the bush and knife-craft are the solo outings to know yourself as well as kindling lasting friendships. Big fan of orange handles. I can see where Will was going here with the SOSPES --- likely running a mostly 1-tool-option plus a smaller companion. Merry Christmas guys!!!

Orange is ok .... in combination with black. All orange is just too much, too bright. It's a signaling color, so it's best used in measure on stuff that is not supposed to be rescue/ first aid etc. But that's just my humble opinion. Tastes are different.
what would be a good companion for it any ideas

I ordered a SOSPES on 2 Dec. I got an email from L.T. that it will be sent when its done. I thouhht they were already in stock. Over 3 weeks not done yet.

I think I need to join the poute house, then have one made next July. 3V, GNS length but fatter handle, 6 inch blade, green Micarta with thick orange liners !!!!! Saber or Scandi, I don't know.
I have a GNS 3V(I'm selling all my Genesis's, need one more GNS) convex with v edge that is so nice, so a Saber or scandi is next.
I don't know if it would work, but a continuous radius like a Bushlore would be nice on a 6 inch blade.

I probably will never see one in real life but to me it looks awesome . Will said he hates saying one tool option , from what I'm seeing this is the best choice for that , survival, bushcraft , jelly spreader and draw Queen all in one , perhaps.

I've been trying to get a SOSPES knife in Saber grind for a few years now with no such luck!

3V and other "super steels" they got it going on, with that being said if you really use a knife a lot 01 Swedish Steel is the way to go, no doubts.

I have plenty of Scandi grinds; need something different to use.
i.e. Just got the JX2 in. Jeebus!!! Its nice. And sharp! And its in CPM-3V; a coincidence, I think not.
O-1 steel is actually very very similar to 1095 cro-van (which isn't all that similar to 1095), which explains why Chris likes the SOSPES...it reminds him of Jessica the BK7. Am I close? I personally love the SOSPES...perfect size knife.
