  • Based on L.T. Wright’s classic Genesis knife, the new Gen 5 takes their winning bushcraft design and upgrades it with a 5-inch blade made from A2 tool steel. They have created a knife that is capable of taking on heavy woodworking tasks while maintaining the versatility to manager finer jobs just as easily.

My Genesis came with separation between the scale and the tang. Sent it back and they took care of and sent it back and I had it 6 days after they got it. While it was there I had LT make me a Keydets sheath. Awesome knife.

Not a kephart at all. Name dropping isn't a good start

@Wattage That's like saying anything that has 4 wheels, has a v8 engine and a trunk is a Cadillac. Trying to sell knives by name dropping someone from 100 years ago is called lazy marketing. I hope this manufacturer puts more thought into their product than they do in their marketing strategy

Wattage .....i agree....and does it even matter? I suppose they could have said “kephart inspired”, but that is splitting hairs for sure. Either way, it has kephart characteristics and is a great knife. Ive made some knives myself that I would have considered to be based on the kephart design, and I would consider the genesis to be in that category...but what do I know...not much, just ask my wife 😁

Accusing The Knife Center or LT Wright of "name dropping" or "lazy marketing" is as wrong as your assertion that the Gen 5 isn't a modern interpretation of Kephart's knives. Drop a Gen5 next to a Becker 62 (a close copy of Kephart's knife) and tell me they're so different that it's a "marketing strategy." You're entitled to your opinions............they're just not correct.

@@ORflycaster What's "a modern interpretation"? Sounds like marketing speak. Is it a kephart? No. Does it share some tangible affiliation with the kephart brand or company? No. Your opinion is second to facts.

SCAM ALERT: I already fell for this pre-order bs they took my money 4 months ago (different knife) and still no knife. Getting nothing but they are still waiting on the manufacturer. So here they go again, why are they taking pre-ordes Why not just wait until they have inventory before they post a video and ask for your pre-order money? Because they know exactly what they are doing that's why.

JAMaxe Restoration Sorry. For your poor opinion of our operation. If we took your money for a preorder, then please contact us and we will refund it immediately. The knife market is competitive and so we try to lock in as many orders as possible. But we don’t take preorder money. You pay nothing - zero until we actually ship the product. There is no scam here just small businesses trying give the best service possible to our customers. We take the best pictures, give the most information and offer the best customer service. Again, we never hold a customer’s money for a preorder and never have. You are thinking of some other site and not the Knifecenter of the Internet

JAMaxe Restoration LTWK or Knife Center does not Scam. Pre orders are taken for our, the customers benefit. A preorder gives the manufacturer, LTWK a good idea on production. LTWK has never not delivered. That’s a fact.
