LT Wright or Adventuresworn

- This video is a comparison between the LT Wright Gary Wines Bushcrafter and the Adventuresworn Classic (note - in the video I incorrectly call it the Explorer). If you are looking to get a good quality off the shelf bushcraft knife from a reputable maker, these are two options you might want to consider. This comparison will give you an overview of details that are different between the two to help you make a decision.

I loved the video! Its worth noting that our knives are generally very customizable - you can request those changes you prefer. We can use a thinner blade steel, add a dangler to the sheath, etc. We're actually smaller than LT Wright (it's just my wife and I), so we're more than happy to accomodate reasonable requests. 😄👍
Do you ever do sabre grinds on any of your models?
@@bundufundi Yes sir. Our options are usually scandi, saber convex, or full height convex. You can request a thinner or thicker style edge depending on your preference (thinner is our default, I like aggressive cutters). You can also request spine etch logo or circle flats logo.
@@AdventureSworn So your recent post with the custom black and green micarta looks so good, I will be ordering one of those shortly!!
I have a few knives from LT and AdventureSworn and agree with this review of specific models, but don't feel it's representative of brand strengths. AS makes fantastic semi-custom knives to spec with a variety of steels, grinds, blade profiles, handles etc. I could be mistaken but would put LT closer to Bark River Knives, great value if you like a certain production run, but not quite playing the same game.
Excellent comparison. LT Wright for me. Thanks mate
I have never heard of Adventursworn before. I think if I was to choose judging from your video I would choose the LT Wright though. Both great looking knives. Awesome video mate.
Cheers Tim, the LT has a good reputation and it meets it in my opinion.
Great comparison video. Two really awesome looking knives! I own a few LT Wright's and have never seen in person an Adventuresworn, but, based on that and what I saw here, I'd definitely agree with your final conclusion. Well done. Thanks.
Thanks for watching! You can’t go wrong with either but the LT Wright feels so good in the hand and cuts into wood like butter.
Nice knives. Thanks for the comparison.
Very thorough review. Thanks.
Thanks Brett!
A couple yrs ago i called adventure sworn to build a knife a woman answered the phone and was so rude i never got one made and never cared to ever call back , lt i have about ten beautiful blades and great folks there
Hey man. You might have dialed the wrong number? A woman never answered phone calls for us. Back then we only did email, these days I do email and text to my cell (calls if requested), but it's just me and my wife working here. Feel free to shoot me some questions... Take advantage of the fact that I like talking about knives perhaps a little too much 😅
Good thorough review 👍
Thanks, well done on the 1k!
Best solution is to get them both. :-)
For sure!😀
Two good knives there. Either would be nice, the orange handle is interesting, on one hand if you leave it on the forest floor like I've done before you will find it easily. On the other hand it's not so natural looking. I also liked the detailed look at the sheaths. That was a good look at the two knives, cheers.
Thanks Chris!
Great review, detailed as always. Not seen an Adventuresworn before, but I'd probably go the LT, prefer micarta over the g10 and I think a more versatile shape. Find a drain hole on leather sheath very useful, allows to clean out debris and leaf litter easier.
The micarta on the LT feels very good and way more grip than the Adventuresworn.
Great video. 👍
I have a Gary Wines bushcrafter just like that one. I saw it pop up for sale and grabbed it to add to my collection. I love LT Wright knives. Subbed. I got some videos on my knives if youd like to check them out.
I try to purchase from smaller companies whenever possible. There seems to be a craftsmanship and attention to detail that is often absent from something mass produced. I really like the looks of that LT, and i think it would make a great choice too. Was curious how you feel about knives with composite type handles vs a wooden handle?
Typically I have always preferred wooden handles but since I have been living in the UK, particularly the west where it is wet, the composite handles have become more appealing. Wood still looks nicer IMO though.
