Stark Varg Dominates at Hard Enduro Event | Proride @ Todd's Leap

- Take one 80hp Stark Varg, add a seasoned Hard Enduro Expert and let them both loose around Todd's leap. We couldn't beleive our eyes when the Stark Varg sailed past the front running KTMs and Husqvarnas on the hills especially given that it was on stock MX Tyres and Suspension.
The future of Motocross and Enduro might not be as loud... but it will certainly be fast.
Thanks to Proride , Todd’s Leap and especially Clonmel Off-road for bringing the Stark to the race.

The Varg really looked good going up that hill
Super impressive. The hill was way tricker than it looks, there was bare rocks that kicked you off etc. looked like he had no bother getting the power down
Dude on the Varg was wheelieing up that thing
Well done on the Varg, but all the others to...! My opinion, sometimes it depends on the rider!
I've got the 60HP version and made the first kms. Really impressive bike. But heavy, especially for elderly men like me;-) I'll try my best, but I'm not sure if that will be MY future!
Where was the domination ? Oh yea, where was the hard enduro?
Stark passing the 2T on the hill right at the start - he was passing most things on track.
That climb was catching a lot of people and out , the wet conditions made everything tough going, it was nearly all 1st -3rd gear. On board lap to follow and you can see the full lap 👍
Best comment, no hard enduro here.
😂

Have a link to your channel? We want to see real enduros I guess….
Star varg's are so sick. But no hot swappable battery is a killer for me.
Can’t imagine what it would be like in the paddock while everyone has them into a big genny
@@powermcs6784 What? Um I don't understand... reword?
@@MustBePerfectForeverThey cannot comprehend the experience of witnessing everyone in the pits with their bikes plugged into a large generator.
80v 50ah 4kw/h removable battery
70 kg weight 18 kw of power 60 Nm of torque
18/21 trial wheels
For Enduro riding, an ICE bike has essentially 5 or 6 engines(gears) for the trail. The SV only has one. A good rider can keep feet on pegs and resist spin out. If the SV mapping could control spin out at least as good as a transmission, I would have one. There are ways to make it happen with an electric motor with feed-back. Another brand in beta mode is hinting on that claim.
That’s a really good point Doug , I always go for a higher gear in the slippy stuff without even thinking about it.
Is this your Stark? Regardless, it’s such a beautiful well engineered bike! A little heavy for Enduro though. They need to actually drop the battery size and lower the power for an off-road version to keep the weight down. I’m currently building an electric dirtbike and the battery size is 4.6kWh which I think will be the sweet spot between weight and range. The Varg has a 6kwh battery, just too big for off-road.
It’s actually a demonstrator from Clonmel Off-road , a dealer not far away from us.
Interesting concept - I like it. Do you know what the stark weighs and what does your bike weigh?
It is 2.5kg heavier than a 2023 ktm450exc with a full tank of fuel. It is lighter than a 2015 ktm450exc full of fuel.
Did it even finish?
Will there be onboard video in really rocky stuff ?
I don’t have one at the moment - there were no rock section at Todd’s Leap but if I get a chance I’ll get the footage.
How many hp you used ?
80hp 100%
The future is definitely coming. The HP is there but when it comes time to fill up at the gas check, the 2T can be full and off in 2 minutes. The stark would be hooked up to a generator for 2 hours. You would need to have a hell of a lead!!
It went really well, I was really really impressed. This was on stock MX tyres and tubes while everyone else would have been on soft enduro tyres. I couldn’t believe it when it pulled away on the hills. Would love to know how long it would last in a typical hare and hound style race.
You’re right about the longer races and refuelling.
At 19500 AUD its simply too expensive, but i would love one.
Didn’t realise they were as expensive as that ! How does that compare to a 300 exc where you are ?
@powermcs6784 pretty sure an EXC is about 16k.
The 24 WR450f is 18k.
its a heap of useless crap
What happened if you put your pro rider on a 300 2t?
What happened if you ride more than 2 hrs with your SV?
It’s a fair point - that was a pro/expert/clubman level race. It’s just nice to see one getting used for a bit of enduro.
That’s a very good point - I’d love to know how long you could hammer one around for.

The Varg shows how close we're getting now. I won't miss the racket that ICE bikes make.
It’s definitely getting there. I love the sound but unfortunately it harms the sport. Especially at MX tracks in the uk .
@@powermcs6784 Yeah, I'm not against engine sounds. I have them myself but we bikers are our own worst enemies, we won't stop until we've legislated ourselves out of existence because we insist we know better. Our bikes are too loud, everyone keeps telling us but we don't listen.
you are a sad bot - go away
Bro make majority of your footage on the Stark if your heading is about the Stark… so much footage of two smokes and lawn mowers. More on the Stark.
