      It really is the perfect bike for an adult learning the sport or progressing. It's difficult to learn on a small trail bike, and full size MX bikes have too much power. This has it all!

      I’m trying to learn my on mine and find being able to keep my balls on the pegs the whole time with the rear handbrake really really awesome as well. I think it’s making it easier for me to learn on.

    • @jedielder7970
      @jedielder7970 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@BarrettMeeker867 It would kind of be weird to have the rear brake where the clutch lever usually is, on a dirt bike... however, in the long run it could be an advantage, as you can apply the rear brake equally as good in right turns (as traditionally don in left turns).

    • @BarrettMeeker867
      @BarrettMeeker867 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@jedielder7970 Yea funny enough it's becoming fairly common to have a left hand rear brake in roadracing probably for some similar reasons. I used to road race a 125 GP bike and I never had one but always wanted a hand rear brake on that bike, once you have a quick shifter you only use the clutch on the start so could easily run it turned out of the way and have a rear hand brake.
      I love it. One tip - if you have bicycles / mountain bikes switch their brakes so front is on the right & rear is on the left. I do that for all my bikes & my kid's bikes. (they come opposite at least in the US) It helps me anyway.

    • @jedielder7970
      @jedielder7970 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@BarrettMeeker867 Yeah, you're so right. My brother-in-law took one of our mx bikes for a test ride and crashed hard while smashing the front brake lever, thinking it was the back brake... like his mountain bike. I can totally see the advantage of only taking your feet off the pegs when you really need to for balance. I raced motocross and SX for years... but I bet 125 GP is fun! I heard that is what Jean-Michel Bayle wanted to do when he left his MX/SX career behind in the US. I don't know if road racing ever worked out for him, at the same level... he was amazingly smooth on dirt bikes.

    Personally, I've ordered one mainly because it should need very little maintenance to the motor and:
    1- I dislike dealing with professional mechanics,
    2- I like doing maintenance myself from time to time but not with the frequency needed by a typical gasoline powered dirtbike.
    I've tried one: I was blatantly faster than with my 2 stroke and I had a lot of fun.
    Yes the battery is the main problem and not a negligible one but I think it should last decently for an afternoon at the track, besides I can ask for current supply like those guys who come to the track with a caravan; they may use it to run a refrigerator etc.; I'll use the current to keep the battery charged as much as I can.
    Bottom line: I yet have to find the perfect dirtbike but I think I'll love this one and I think it will be the best choice for me; I understand that others may have different needs, priorities and tastes, though.

    • @SupercarEngg
      @SupercarEngg 6 месяцев назад +1

      It really is one bike for all skill levels. If you are of average height and fitness but have beginner skills, you might want to order softer spring and softer clicker settings, like for someone who is 20 lbs lighter than you. The power is adjustable. That's it. You can update the springs later once you improve your skills and become faster. The bike is very easy to ride. An electric motor is not a replacement for skills though. You still need pro skills to keep up with pro riders.

    Question, and sorry if it’s already been answered. But what are your thoughts on the handbrake versus the foot? I’ve changed my order from the footbrake to the handbrake and now back to the footbrake and I’m gonna leave it at that. I’m kind of thinking I wanna leave my hands free from adding to my arm pump pulling a rear brake. It would be kind of cool if you could have both that were tied together and have the option of hand or foot.

    • @AjCatanzaro
      @AjCatanzaro  6 месяцев назад +2

    I have a E RIde Pro (like a Surron), Electric bikes are fun to ride and it is easier to keep good foot technic because you do not have to move them to shift or brake. They accelerate fast. It would be nice if they made a Stark that was much cheaper and only had like 40 HP max. But I Think all the cost is in the Battery and Motor. But I know that Horse power is not hard to come by in electric. So that is why cost will probably be high for a while.
