Thanks for the tip Joe. My old analyzer does the same thing on occasion. If that part is $150.00 in the U.S. it will only cost me about $425.00 here in the Great White North. 👍👍🇨🇦
Im on my 2nd winter on my testo 310. Its a nice analyzer. My sensors havent acted up yet. I think when they do, ill just buy the fieldpiece cat85. Im the first one at my company ever to use an analyzer. I find it more useful for boilers or atmospheric draft appliances. But i will use it on furnaces too from time to time. They are a nice tool, since i started using them, i understand a lot more about combustion.
Looks like you're knocking at the 16K door Joe... well done.
Glad to see you still kicking. Thought the covid got you. I guess this will be your busy season with cold weather coming on.
Hello from the great state of Michigan
Great video
Nice video thanks. Has anyone ever tried to open up that plastic part over the O2 sensor to see what the actual sensor component looks like and who the manufacturer might be ? There are plenty of used Testo appliances around on eBay etc. But most of them need to be calibrate, re-certified and probably a sensor replacement. When both sensors need to be replaced (O2 and CO), it might be better to get a new device which is factory calibrated and certified.
If it's a typical electrochemical oxygen sensor then they do degrade with time.
No they degrade by airflow. that's why i lke the wholer A550 or A450. Because they have seperated 3x pumps. So after use i just let flow only the Co pump.
They recommend sending the tester to a authorized dealer to be calibrated also.
Hi Joe, i came accross with your channel with the navien tankless install. I have an old unefficient boiler heating system that have 3 zone valve and a pump going into the boiler and the other end has a reduced pressure valve and expansion tank going out to the 3 zones. I want to ask you for advice, if i replace it with a tankless(with recirculation) can i reuse all the component and connect the reduce valve end to the tankless hot, and the pump end to the tankless cold with everything i have? I have limited budget and want to get it done safely too. Would appreciate any advice. thank you
You but I would just replace everything
Don't use it for the first 60 minutes. It is better for O2 sensor life. Clean it every day after use. And change often filter
Hi Joe, my colleague sent you an email about our collaboration. Looking forward to receiving your reply! 😊😊
Got it!
The o2 sensors are expensive ~$100. And I'm talking about sensor alone, without electronic parts/pcb , the more accurate the measurement the more expensive.
I checked about a year ago if it would be feasible to build my own weather station on arduino measuring pm2.5, o2, co2. Sensors alone were 300-500$ Many had a 2-year life span after unsealing
