- Hi guys, in this video I demonstrate the easiest way to make your Logitech shifter sequential! Works for G923/G920/G29/G27/G25! This is a very quick and easy mod and it's likely you'll be able to do it with what you have already lying around at home, so for a lot of people this mod will essentially be free.

A little tip for if you want to do this extra lazy, the screws that hold the third clamp on the bottom are the same size as the ones around the shifter, the third clamp wouldn't fit on my desk so I had it removed already and just used those screws

Yep it's a very simple solution and can potentially save anyone interested quite a bit of money instead of having to buy a more expensive out of the box sequential shifter or even if it just prolongs the time that you enjoy using the Logitech shifter then that's worth it! Thanks for watching :)

I remember back in the days(The G25 specifically), on that shifter can switch between sequential and 6 speed.

😂😂 Yep, it isn't the most aesthetically pleasing mod in the world! Black screws and rubber bands (or O-rings) are best for maximum stealthiness!
Maybe you can do it inside the shifter so that you cant see it
I bought shorter bands so i could put the black cover back on
I won't see it while I'm racing anyways so until I buy an actual kit, this will do just fine!

Awesome. Since I play in VR, practicality goes before aesthetics. Love that I don't need to do anything else but to place or remove the rubber band on the fly whenever I switch cars. 😀

Can you show it actually working?. I've see this mod but no one actually show that it works. How do I know it doesn't just go to 4th gear then neutral? Will I still need the clutch to change the gears? Why don't you people show that it works instead of just showing you making the mod?

This look fantastic! Although I have one question, how does it work so when it goes to the "neutral" position, it stays in the same gear? Also how do I bind the shifter to go up and down like a sequential?
Hi, yes that is exactly it, when it returns to neutral it stays in the same gear. To bind it, go into the settings menu in whatever game you are playing and bind gear up to the 4th gear position and gear down to the 3rd gear position. Personally, I actually prefer to bind these the other way around but this way is the norm.

I may well try this ,i'll find some screws 👍 I use a very similar mod with a rubber band and a thick pencil to make 4th gear a handbrake, it works really well. 😀
um, how can i remap this? my game registers the shifter as H-pattern and when i change it to sequential, the shifter doesnt do anything.

This might be a dumb question, but couldn't you just slightly unscrew the original screws? or are they too short?
How to install on wrc ? If i set siquential up to 3 and siqential donw to 4 it dousnt work🤷♂️
But how do you get it to work it just stay nutral And go to 4 when upsifting and 3 when downshifting

Why wouldn't you just use the paddles for rally games? I mean I could understand doing this for Initial D, but for other games I would think you would just paddle shift for sequential.
Im sure you know but there is a dude who makes a 3d printed mod for this that works pretty well!

Why not just go 2mm longer and hide everything underneath it?
You could just use the original screws and almost tighten the screw, maybe back it off a turn
All cool and all, but apperently in asseto corsa on the xbox i cant seem to set it up.
I cant set it to 'Shift Up' nor 'Shift Down', is there any fix?
I'm not sure what way it works in Assetto on Xbox to be honest. Unfortunately, game developers and console manufacturers limit the amount of customisation massively on consoles in comparison to a PC. Hope you can get it working. Thanks for watching and commenting 😊

I just want to make sure, when I do this I will use bigger screws on the sides and put an elastic band on them to make it sequential. If i take that rubber band off every now and then to use it normally, it will still work just the same right? Using this to force it back to the center when I am using it will not damage anything on the actual shifter, right?
no it wont damage it
one question. after use can you take the band out and use it the gearstick again but as H-shifter? or is this permanent and can not be changed again?
i rekon u can change it back to H pattern, U will just need to redo the key binds

I cant say for definite having never played The Crew 2 myself but if it has "gear up" and "gear down" options that you can bind inputs to in the keybinds menu then you should be able to do this mod, map 3rd gear to "gear up" and 4th to "gear down" and you should be good to go! Hope this helps!
U can only go to 3 and 4 and it goes back to neutral so it's bad don't do it unless there is a solution
You have to remap your bindings in the game you are playing. Set 3rd gear to gear up and 4th gear to gear down 🙂
