Oh yeah! I first heard "Anastasia" on the radio while driving and had to get home to look up who the heck it was. GREAT guitar and GREAT vocals, blended JUST RIGHT... that whole album is good. The first song I ever heard with MK singing was "Isolation", which I listened to a bunch of times before I ever heard anything else from him/AB. I really love that one.

These guys are phenomenal! Myles Kennedy is one of the most talented singers and along with Mark Tremonti (who is a great guitarist) also happens to have a good voice. These guys are so good and so tight live, you have to go see them - you won't regret it. These guy were formed from the ashes of the band Creed due to the lead singer , Scott Stapp's, drug abuse and undiagnosed bipolar disorder.

The first time I heard this it was Alter Bridge's rock version and although I love the song, the harder version makes the first and last lines of the song more powerful to me. I interpreted this as approaching old age. Inner struggle as the grey of "autumn" and then the solitude of "winter" comes. No matter how much love you can bring. it is never enough to stay the hands of time...or the loss of a life companion. Who will save her and ease her pain? He is gone.
This was the the theme song for Dr Drew’s Celebrity Rehab some years back. It fit perfectly . Beautiful song . It’s hard taking care of an addict. One can only do it for so long.

You are almost exactly right about the song, although it was written about a friend of Myles' who had addiction issues rather than a girlfriend. Myles is probably the best singer working in rock today (along with David Draiman from Disturbed and Brent Smith from Shinedown) but he is also a brilliant guitarist. Myles works with two absolute guitar gods - Mark Tremonti in Alter Bridge and Slash on his solo records - and both of them have said that they think Myles is a better guitar player than they are! Just to top it off, if you've ever met Myles, he is a genuinely nice guy.
