The only thing is that the Chinese characters practice kung-fu, not karate. I am quite disappointed by part 1, but I keep some hope for things to make sense in 2 and 3.

I like the part of miyagi with the boxing and having to leave America because of the robbery. I think it adds layers to his character and shows how he wasn’t always perfect. However, I don’t understand him fighting in the Sekai Taikai as it creates continuity issues and just doesn’t really fit his character.

Regarding #3, it was already foreshadowed in Season 3 when Chozen sparred with Daniel that Mr. Miyagi did NOT reveal everything to him. It would make sense that Miyagi never told the hot-headed Daniel about the Sekkai Taikai in order to protect him from it.
Im just hopeful the story returns to its roots with a focus on Johnny. I think Kwon will gradually knock out each of the MC in the tournament, he'll likely injure Miguel's back at that, and it'll be ROBBIE in the final. Robbie will likely win but Johnny and Kreese have unfinished business and Johnny has a kid on the way with Robbie and Miguel a younger sister to protect.

Owning a Chinese coin is not a strong enough proove that you've been to China, and the villains in the Jackie Chan karate kid movie have no beef against any of the cobra kai characters so the shock factor wouldn't be enough

I think they are setting up a showdown between Kwon and Miguel.. one important line sums up what Cobra Kai is vs what Miyagi Do is.. Krease says in order to beat an opponent with heart, you have to be Heartless. Miguel was always the one with Heart.. now they found his opposite heartless Kwon. Robbie will have had an opportunity to defeat kwon in an earlier match but will lose to an illegal move.. that will set up Miguel. Tory will see that and reconsider her temporary allegiance to Cobra Kai and Krease finally recognizing him for what he is. She will throw her match vs LaRusso.. (always leaving the question to the viewer as to who is actually better) The aftermath is - Miguel will win the championship. and so will LaRusso.. Daniel will "retire" from karate as promised but will Bankroll Johnny in opening up Miyagi Do Karate Schools (yep plural) Miguel will go on to college. Robbie and Tory will join Johnny as senseis of new schools. Hawk will join Demetri at MIT. One big question mark is what about Kenny? there has to be some conclusion there too. He's still young.. will he join Cobra Kai? perhaps. but there will be a final conclusion to his story.. i think he will learn it was Devon who "spiked" his drink.. and he'll end up being good friends with Daniel's son. with his age I bet that he'll join Miyagi Do under Johnny and be an up and coming champion.

If you break out of prison in America, you can go to another country easily and not be arrested as you haven't broken a law in that country. Return to America, you will be arrested. Kim's or cobra kai karate is actually tang sudo. Kim was a real grand master of moo Duk kwan.this show though they call it karate depict the actual mentality of tang soo doo also known as soo bak do . The art was developed for miltary purposes only it taught a no mercy mentality just like the show emphasis. Because the intent of the art was to stop Japanese invaders and occupation on the Korea. Peninsula. Tang so do birthed taekwondo which kept the kicking elements in a more sport like element thst we know today. The dojangs of tang so do are still very much the no mercy mentality you see of long ago. The idea behind the art is hard strikes that should incapacitate on the first blow it incorporates weapons in its open hand style. Teaches that you do not stop hitting till your advisory stops moving. Much like cobra kai it is a pure offensive aggressive style that feeds off your own emotions it encourages jn your face all out fighting from the start overwhelming your advisory with powerful strikes of both punches and kicks. Additionally practitioners of tang so do are encouraged to learn other styles and evolve their art. Incorporating them with elements of Korean art. We are also encouraged to use elements around us. The root of rhe anger actually between Kim school in the show if this was real world would be because miyagi do represent Japanese invaders over the Korean who were invaded. The sentiments portrayed of distain for the style is rooted in very real feelings thst many practitioners still feel today.

Rewatch season 3 again. The snake they stole was after Kreese left a different snake in LaRusso Auto.

I think they are setting up a showdown between Kwon and Miguel.. one important line sums up what Cobra Kai is vs what Miyagi Do is.. Krease says in order to beat an opponent with heart, you have to be Heartless.
Miguel was always the one with Heart.. now they found his opposite heartless Kwon. Robbie will have had an opportunity to defeat kwon in an earlier match but will lose to an illegal move.. that will set up Miguel. Tory will see that and reconsider her temporary allegiance to Cobra Kai and Krease finally recognizing him for what he is. She will throw her match vs LaRusso.. (always leaving the question to the viewer as to who is actually better)
The aftermath is - Miguel will win the championship. and so will LaRusso.. Daniel will "retire" from karate as promised but will Bankroll Johnny in opening up Miyagi Do Karate Schools (yep plural) Miguel will go on to college. Robbie and Tory will join Johnny as senseis of new schools. Hawk will join Demetri at MIT.
One big question mark is what about Kenny? there has to be some conclusion there too. He's still young.. will he join Cobra Kai? perhaps. but there will be a final conclusion to his story.. i think he will learn it was Devon who "spiked" his drink.. and he'll end up being good friends with Daniel's son. with his age I bet that he'll join Miyagi Do under Johnny and be an up and coming champion.

Only crime that Kreese did (in cobra kai) was break out of prison. If you break out of prison in America, you can go to another country easily and not be arrested as you haven't broken a law in that country. Return to America, you will be arrested.

Kim was a real grand master of moo Duk kwan.this show though they call it karate depict the actual mentality of tang soo doo also known as soo bak do . The art was developed for miltary purposes only it taught a no mercy mentality just like the show emphasis. Because the intent of the art was to stop Japanese invaders and occupation on the Korea. Peninsula. Tang so do birthed taekwondo which kept the kicking elements in a more sport like element thst we know today. The dojangs of tang so do are still very much the no mercy mentality you see of long ago. The idea behind the art is hard strikes that should incapacitate on the first blow it incorporates weapons in its open hand style. Teaches that you do not stop hitting till your advisory stops moving. Much like cobra kai it is a pure offensive aggressive style that feeds off your own emotions it encourages jn your face all out fighting from the start overwhelming your advisory with powerful strikes of both punches and kicks. Additionally practitioners of tang so do are encouraged to learn other styles and evolve their art. Incorporating them with elements of Korean art. We are also encouraged to use elements around us. The root of rhe anger actually between Kim school in the show if this was real world would be because miyagi do represent Japanese invaders over the Korean who were invaded. The sentiments portrayed of distain for the style is rooted in very real feelings thst many practitioners still feel today.

Miyagi never fought in the tournament[the sekai takai officials didn't even recognize the name]but he kept this headband of his friend who maybe died in the tournament. Just like in bloodsport! I say his friend is of the grandfather of that boxer and also the grandfather of Julie 😅 the boxer is her cousin! So it will all lead to Julie. I think Miyagi snatched a necklace that belonged to him in the first place and he took it back! Think about Torys mother and the fist she made with her last breath. She fought and I doubt she died just of the blood clots. The doctors must have seen it but it wasn't there. So what if kreese told kim that Tory is gone and won't come back.
