VIDEO INFORMATION
Okay Cobra Kai fans, Season 6 Part 1 electric boogaloo is now on Netflix, and let me tell you. Everybody was kung fu fighting, those kicks were, ehhh, far from their mark.
Let’s just chop right into everything, a brief rundown of events, how this first part 1 of 3 ends and sets things up, theories on what will happen in part 2 and 3 along with my review of the final season. So grab some snacks, make sure to relieve yourself, and let’s get into Season 6 of Cobra Kai.
Things kick off after the messy events of Season 5, with Miyagi-Do’s senseis going fist to toe with Terry Silver, whom is luckily defeated and arrested for his assault on Richard Jewel. These events take Silver out of the picture, leading to Creese, who was falsely accused of these same crimes, faking his own death with the old red jello gag, escaping into the unknown. Poof just disappeared.
With these mildly traumatic events in the rear view, the Miyagi-Do students forget about their rivalries, learning friendship is the most powerful skill out there. Migeul and Sam are together, while Robby and Tori are the other power couple.
Now that we have all that mumbo jumbo out of the way, this Part 1 of 3, is all about Miyagi-Do training for the upcoming Seikai Teikai tournament. If you remember back to Season 5, Terry Silver’s big plan was to enter this tournament, win, and open Cobra Kai dojo’s as far as the eye can see. Representatives from the tournament even show up in the valley, determining who will represent the U.S., which turns out to be Miyagi-Do.
Let’s fast forward, as this is basically the main crux of Part 1, the Seikai Teikai Mortal Kombat tournament. First learning the tournament will be held in….Uhhh no, it’s actually… ... no you…. ... Gotta stop…. ... actually yeah. Barcelona, Spain! But unfortunately not everyone gets to go, only 6 fighters from each team, leading to those newly formed bonds and friendships, to be tested once again. As a fair, unbiased way of picking their 6 fighters, Mike Barnes, from last season and Daniel’s rival in The Karate Kid III, is called in for the task.

I personally feel like Johnny was right. He knows what that feels like to lose his mom and Tory literally saw her mom dead body. I would not tell her to just sit a pain that she feels out as we see throughout the entire series of her how she copes with pain is fighting.

I think kreese killed Tory's mom. He's the only one that knows where Tory lives. Afterall he did say through pain, a person would show their true power.

I can tell its already him, this contiunues Tory's arc more because its going way deeper every episode and season. Kreese killed her to bring her to the dark side, this is evident since her fist was literally a punch fist.
Remember Kreese didnt hesitate to kill Johnny in hallucination scene. He is shedding his weakness.
She will find out eventually and this might lead to a huge problem.
I personally feel like if they would’ve let Tory keep fighting she would’ve never went back because that was the only person who understand her and that Johnny was the only person who understand why she wanted to keep fighting.

I dont mind them releasing these in parts, but the time between them is annoying. Since stranger things 4 released in 2 parts 5 weeks apart a few years ago, i can only imagine its going to get worse for future releases of netflix shows.

My Theories and Predictions For The Next Parts
1) Tory's Mother was killed by Kreese to make her join Cobra Kai. This is evident since they zoomed in her mothers fist, implying she defended her self? Kreese definitely killed after Tory disrespected him. Remember, Kreese was literally removing his weakness and hallucinated on killing Johnny
Also Kreese also knows where Tory lives in Season 3 so....
Hopefully she finds out.
But if it isnt Kreese it could be either Silver or Kim Da Eun
2)Robby will lose because of Tory's betrayal and it might make him unbalanced and get injured by Kwon or the other Cobra Kai members. Miguel will then take the role as Captain.
But lets see since this fight depends on Robby's future. I think he deserves it more than Miguel
3)Kenny will join the Sekai Tekai.
I think they will find out some point and let Kenny Join.
4)Since the Sekai Tekai students are all at Barcelona, there will be some scenes in All Valley about Anthony and Kenny?
They might even fight it out like Robby and Miguel.
Or maybe Amanda somehow find out how Tory's mom died since she cares about Tory too.
5)Theres only 4 Cobra Kai Fighters in the ending, so we can say that these two might be familiar? It's possible for it to be another plot twist but maybe we will just get the new characters again like the original leader before Kwon took it.
6)Mr Miyagi's backstory is pretty interesting right now.
We know that hes fought at the Sekai Tekai, assaulted someone ,caused a robbery and had a friend who was a boxer.
I think that Mr Miyagi either might've killed someone in Sekai Tekai or got injured pretty bad which is why his headband has blood on it.
Mr Miyagi may have had a aggressive era.
That scroll may have dangerous and forbidden techniques that Mr Miyagi didn't want anyone to find, but as we know Daniel will definitely check it
7) How would Part 3 go? Maybe the final fight isnt Sekai Tekai but a fight to death with Miyagi Do And Cobra Kai?
My guess is that Cobra Kai isnt fond with their lose or Terry Silver starts it? The Sensei's would definitely join too. But I dont know how would it start but a fight to death is definitely possible since i seen the directors said that someone dies.

I have another theory that would change everything about the Kims.
Before going to Spain for Sekai Taikai, Kreese would secretly kill Kim Sun Yung (probably by poisoning) and Kreese would think no one would witness his murder. He put his body in the bed and then one morning, Da-Eun shockingly finds out her grandfather's death in bed. But unknown to Kreese, one of korean CK students (I hope it's Kwon) witnessed the crime and he tries to tell this to sensei Da-Eun, but no to avail.

I posted above that it should be a trilogy of movies and be to this franchise what the Phantom Menace and its sequels were to Star Wars. Everything we learn about his young life from the later movies should manifest.
First part was good, but the gap until the next part drops is too long. These aren’t 1 hour episodes.
A mention of the name 'Kesuke' Miyagi has now made The Next Karate Kid canon in the CK universe. This will likely lead to the appearance of Julie.

Maybe. I just watched the Jackie Chan Karate Kid, and there's the scene when Mr. Han and Dre make it to the top of the temple to drink the water from the dragon bowl, and he tells Dre that he stood there with his father when he was Dre's age. So I assumed his dad taught him Kung Fu.
Maybe his father and Mr. Miyagi were good friends? Maybe they became friends during the tournament, and Mr. Han's father helped Mr. Miyagi flee to China when he needed help when Han was a kid. Could've learned from both Miyagi and his dad. 🤷🏻♂️ Alot of possibilities. 🤣

I could patiently wait for stranger things season 4 because it was 1-2 months and we had like 7 hours of content, this season is just ridiculous 2.5 hours of content for 4 months on November 15th (they just changed it, it was originally the 28th) and we don't even know when final 5 episodes are coming out, plus there was no sort of conclusion you feel after watching these because it feels like your missing so much of the story, it's been 2 years why do they need 4 months
With the writers guild, they couldn't finish all the episodes at once. Either that or they release everything in 2025.
Tory just switching sides like that was a bit too sudden. I get it that it goes along with what Kreese said about Miyago Do welcoming her, but not being there for her in a time of need. I get she had to let her anger out because of her mothers death and was furious they didnt let her, but was it enough of a reason to join the side she knew was evil? Or maybe she only thought Silver was evil.

I thought the same thing. It wasnt too justified, especially her goin back to Kreese when she needed him n he wasnt there. They shouldve made Tory stand on her own and had either side prove their loyalty to her instead of making her run to the other when things got tough. And it kinda takes away from some of the season 5 growth

@@josueuribe548 I think Robby should win, Miguel can get into Stanford from his performance even if he doesn’t win, but Robby won’t have the same future that Miguel does, karate seems like it’ll be Robby’s future by teaching it and participating, I think he should win. That being said I’m not going to be made if Miguel Wins, it started with him and I’d understand if the writers want it to end with him.
"Kesuke Miyagi" was the name they used in the beginning of "The Next Karate Kid". I believe the writers skipped it and decided to fix it by the "fake Passport" from the chest. I agree with you there, if not of all your points.

Does anyone else think that it's really stupid they made the season into 3 parts? I think I know the effect they are trying to have, but I don't think it's going to have that effect, I think it will just annoy people. They did this with invincible too. Both seasons have been released in 2 parts, and it was just dumb. If they want to release it in parts, don't make the span between 4 months. Make it a few weeks.
I think it’s stupid af too bc the show lost half their audience by making robbie captain instead of Miguel. I mean I see it all over social media, and I will never watch the show again if miguel doesn’t win the final…. My point being that if the show released all its episodes than people would finish it and see that miguel may actually be fighting in the final instead of the show losing most of its fans due to an outcome (robbie in final instead of miguel) that may not even play out that way

It did cross my mind but then I thought about the name Han and Miyagi… unless Miyagi impregnated a Chinese women and he fled China… Mr Han chose to keep his mums surname Han. That there’s a history with the son and father Miyagi.
See Tory rejoined Cobra Kai after what John and Kim put her through was shocking, I know she is angry that her moms died and not thinking straight after her mom sadly died but hopefully, she was betrayed by Kreese once and Kim did break her knuckles after she had the guts to return to that dojo. I hope Amanda can help her like she did in season 4. I liked Tory in Miyigi do and even if she still has beef with Sam and Daniel's teacher will not be for her at the time. Johnny and Mike see potential in her and are hopeful she rejoin Miyagi Fang and win with the right dojo. I would rather see Tory lose a fight with Miyigi then go back to John Kreese and Cobra kai.

Yeah, I do think we'll see Julie Pierce in the next 5 episodes as well as other Next Karate Kid lore. Mainly because there is rumored to be a Sensei division and they'll need a female practitioner to go against Kim Dae-Yun
I have been saying ever since Kim was introduced to the series that Kim Dae-Yun and Julie Pierce should have to fight each other. It is obligatory for the top female senseis of each style to be mortal enemies and archrivals.
My Opinon On Part 1 :: I Felt Like It Was A Good Part But Was pretty disappointed that the episodes where only 30 minute episodes , I also think that they are pushing Deven’s Character to much she’s good and all but doesn’t deserve her own plot , at some points the story felt rushed and we didn’t get the time to sink in what we just saw , I’m also wondering what are the last 5 episodes gonna be about if there already in Sakai tekai like I thought start the on last part

I'm sorry to say it, but they should have ended it with the conclusion of season 5 because the writing just isn't up to par anymore. Seriously... how many times can Daniel and Johnny go through that cycle of quarreling, splitting up, resolving their differences, being totally cool with each other, and then repeating the whole thing? The writers just keep going back to that well over and over and over, and it's boring and tiresome at this point. Same thing with Tory always undoing every bit of progress she makes. Repetitive and frustrating.

One major beef I have with the 2010 Jackie Chan remake ending up tied into this fictional universe via a crossover when it was originally meant to only be a remake is that the story was almost scene for scene an exact copy of the first movie and the probability of 2 different stories being almost exactly the same within the same fictional universe is absurdly low. If they had wanted the 2 stories to be in the same fictional universe together they should have mixed the plot up a tad so that it was not almost a scene for scene copy of the first movie.

So here's what I think is going on with Mr Miyagi.
As we saw from Chozen, the original Miyagi family karate was a lot more violent than what Miyagi taught Daniel. A lot of the more peaceful ideas seem to be something Mr Miyagi added to his karate later.
Post War PTSD seems to be a theme in Cobra Kai, too, and we know Miyagi lost his wife and child to unknown circumstances during the 1940s.
What I am guessing is that whatever happened to Miyagi's wife and child caused him to go down a dark path and eventually culminated in a tragedy at the Sekai Taikai.
It is possible that it was at the Sekai Taikai that Miyagi came into contact with Mr Han's father and trained with him for a while. This could be where he learned those unorthodox training methods.
It is also probably from Mr Han's father that Miyagi came to understand the heart of Karate by experiencing the roots that his ancestors learned and eventually finding his way.

I was honestly really disappointed that the dojo name just ended up being Miyagi-Do. I think they missed a huge opportunity. The name of the show is Cobra Kai. Wouldn't it have been kinda cool if Johnny fought to claim Cobra Kai for himself? Since he knows and we know that Eagle Fang is really just Cobra Kai, but more realistic. And they even hinted in this direction. Johnny will always be Johnny, he tried making Miyagi-Do work, and it wasn't for him. So let's say he didn't concede and let Chozen and Daniel concede, and boom, they are now Cobra Kai. And they go to the Seikai Teikai and whoever wins, gets to claim the name Cobra Kai. This would be a cathartic ending to me. And since they hinted at this a little bit, maybe that can still happen somehow. But it makes sense. It doesn't mean they have to become like Cobra Kai was, honestly, Johnny should just fight for it because it's a badass name, and that's who he is.
Also can't believe they did Kenny like that. And Tory. It's so weird, the writers seem to want to keep pushing some characters back to the "dark side" after they've turned form that. This applies to Devon as well of course. It's interesting, but I don't know what they are getting at yet. This might frustrate some people, just seemingly undoing all of the progression of certain characters. Even Johnny and Daniel, they were good for a while, and they decide to drive another wedge between them. How many times are they gonna around and around in a circle like this? I still think this is shaping up to be a good season, but the writing is all over the place.
The few things I've liked so far was Kreese, Robby finally winning a pretty important fight, and what they are doing with Miyagi.

This whole thing was predictable thus far.
Some of my theories after watching part 1 are :
1. The cast while at an interview doscussed how robby was gonna have a major victory in season 6..i feel like robby winning the captain fight against miguel might be just that..meaning that miguel would ultimately be the top candidate to win the sekai tekai since the show started with him and will end with him..this could either occur by robby getting injured and miguel taking his spot or silver escaping and manipulating or distracting robby in some way
2. Another theory is that devon won the fight against kenny by cheating..and thus is feeling guilt for her actions as evident as shes asking about him all the time...i feel like she might tell the sensei's the truth and thus kenny might join the top 6
3. The third theory is that we dont get to see who the remianing 2 fighters for cobra kai are...i have a feeling it would be another female..ans one such female that has been strongly linked is zara malek who is a 13 time champion..adding on to this..i feel like kenny might learn about devons actions and might join cobra kai to get revenge whivh contradicts my second theory
4. A main theory is that robby and sam might have to fight against tory and kwon and they are all team captainsbfor their respective dojos..robby might loose that fight or get injured since he and tory promised to stay together forever..however torys betrayal would hurt him thus costing him the match
5. And the most important theory..this is about mister miyagis background..so we finally found out that mister miyagi fought in the sekai tekai..now one theory is that daniel would find some scripts or scrolls in that box containing some moves that would help them win the sekai tekai..or another speculation is that chozen who is on his way to okinawa might meet kumiko...who might reveal more info about mister miyyagi to daniel thus helping them

I really like what they are doing in regards to the 5th theory. It makes sense that Mr Miyagi wasn't always the wise and peaceful man we saw in the Karate Kid. Maybe his participation in the Seikai Teikai was why he became so adverse to Karate tournaments for their own sake. Barnes said people have died in the Seikai Teikai. Maybe he was responsible for the death of one of his opponents.

They totally ruined this whole series by bleeding it for all it was worth. They made chozen an annoying houseguest who has overstayed his welcome, just to have him leave on a whim with no goodbye(obviously he will show up at the tournament with kumiko at his arm). Then even putting Anthony in the running for fighters worthy of FIGHTING IN A WORLD TOURNAMENT when he admittedly didn't know how to throw a punch at the end of season 5 is just laughable. Then we have the escaped fugitive John Crease just bouncing around from country to country, going from the US to Korea, back to the US(literally to the community he committed his crimes in) and then from the US to Spain where he is a coach at a tournament that is "broadcast live across the entire world" with absolutely no issues whatsoever. Just when u think it couldn't get worse, we are supposed to believe that Daniel NEVER found this "secret" trapdoor in the house he's known since he was a teenager so they can now make mr.miyagi(a man who has been literally a symbol of what is honorable and good) some kinda international jewelry thief. It's all just complete garbage. Should have just left well enough alone at 5 season. The second half is gonna be cameos from Jackie Chan, Hillary Swank and Jaden Smith, even if it makes no sense why they would even be there. My guess, after they lose these people will show up and Daniel will see MiyagiDo was already worldwide and his message lives on

1. With just a season of training one can be a world level tournament fighter in Anthony. One winter of training and he’s on the elite level already.
2. Kreese is 80yrs old but he’s bouncing around being stealth leaving a physical destruction in his path. Looks like he can barely walk but he’s this terminator of a man.
3. The old Korean Master Kim is what.. late 90’s? Is this a Kill Bill reference where we accepted that Pai Mei was ancient?
4. A global scale world wide tournament so grand in scale and there’s about 5-6 teams there. Whole world. I live in Chicago and I can tell you there’s easily 30-40 karate dojos in my city alone.
5. So a throw rug with a little bed hid that secret floor board door for 35 years. Daniel never ever once noticed it.
This whole show now is a cross between the Power Rangers, high school music and Glee.

I have a theory that the box wasn’t actually Mr Myagi but his long lost brother. Remember the announcement with Ralph Machio & Jackie Chan about the movie they are doing together that takes place in the karate kid universe. I believe Jackie Chan will play Mr Myagi brother. The random white guy boxer dude never said Mr Myagi first name when he was talking to Daniel and Chozen in season 6. This can be up for interpretation but I believe Mr Myagi has a brother. To me it only makes sense that Mr Myagi was trying to hide his brothers past and he hid all of his stuff into the box. If they are going to connect his show to the movie I believe Jackie Chan will come at the end looking for Daniel when he sees Myiagi Do karate won the Se Kai Tai Kai. The bloody headband that Daniel got from the box at the end of season 6 pt 1 was Mr Myagis brothers cuz he was the won who fought in the tournament not Mr Myagi. Thats just my theory but who knows my Jackie Chan will reprise his role from the karate kid 2010.

Some of the early fight scenes were disappointing, almost as though they didn't want to show people getting hit. Thankfully they seemed to have improved as the season moves along.

You mentioning Mr Miyagi fighting Kim Sun-Yung is something I also figure would be a plot point since Kim Sun-Yung does walk with a cane which could have been caused by Miyagi hence his later distaste for tournaments.
The blood on the headband could be from the fight between them which may have ended up going to far with both fighters getting overly aggressive leading to Miyagi getting a bloody head wound causing him to retaliate by causing a severe leg injury.
It may have also lead the organisers to cancel the match due to both fighters going beyond what they would consider acceptable within their rules.

I’m kind of curious what happened with chozen or Kenny they never really covered that in the last episode
I'm pretty sure we'll see Julie Pierce in this season. She'll be the female mentor for Samantha and Tori. She'll also help defeat Kim Da-Eun. Then, following these events, we'll get the movie in 2025 which I think will be a prequel of Miyagi's life and how he competed in the Sekkai-Tekai. This will fast forward to the future where Daniel will travel to China and meet Jackie Chan to finally have a complete conclusion for the final battle! I'll be in Barcelona the same time Cobra Kai part 2 will get released, so this is perfect.
